We chose Japamala Tioman for our wedding anniversary and this boutique resort did not disappoint. Service was impeccable from the time we were picked up at the ferry terminal at Kampung Genting until the time we left.
Kudos to the manger Kenny and his team for their hospitality in making our anniversary memorable. Food was in general above average (dessert was fantastic) and some dishes were a bit salty as we don’t consume too salty food in our diet. We gave feedback and to our surprise the staff took it seriously as our subsequent dishes served weren’t as salty. The rooms are clean and the sea view fantastic, allowing us to take in the magnificent sunset views every evening.
Not much to do, as this resort is more for guest to disconnect. Hiking to Batu Permata and to Kampung Genting was doable. Canoeing and snorkelling by the resort was great.
Overall we enjoyed our stay there. Thanks Japamala!

A tropical paradise tucked in a private beach on Tioman island. We stayed 2 nights in the Sarang tree house, was treated with absolute warm and welcoming hospitality. Perfect for couples who wanna be “stranded” on an island getaway.

The resort was beautiful and clean. I got a villa fronting d sea and it was beautiful n romantic
Clean room, comfy bed and the staff were so so friendly especially Mr Fadil who works at d restaurant. D resort opened just 7 months ago so its very new. No beach activities like canoeing or snorkelling yet to renl.
The only disappointment was d BBQ which lack varieties and very slow to be prepare. For $150/pax its very costly!! Other then that I love d resort n might come again Minus d BBQ hahaha

I went on vacation with my friends and chose this hotel. It was very new and not crowded. The service attitude was good, everyone was very enthusiastic, the buffet food was different every day, and the hotel also provided various supporting entertainment such as diving. It was especially suitable for holiday travel and was highly recommended.

Amma make this one short,
The place is nice, staff were amazing, food could be alot better i mean depedns its almost all Asian.
For all coming to visit, this place is more like a romantic trip than a family vacay.
The beach is very bad TBH its all rocky, no beach front that you can actually lay on and enjoy the dash o'water
The closest lets say snorkelling requires a package purchase or if you know a sea taxi, as relying on this beach's marine life its sad, dead coral everywhere.

Excellent! The environment is beautiful, not crowded, and very peaceful. The water activities also offer great value for money. It's perfect for guests looking for peace and quiet. The food at the restaurant is decent, and while set menus are available, they require a day's advance booking. I personally think the 199 MYR set menu offers much better value than ordering à la carte.

Overall Stay was acceptable, Location is very near to jetty. Food at hotel Asian Food better then. Western Food. Ferry tickets a bit expensive. ATV car is not really in good condition, need to change 2-3 times to able complete the whole track

The location is good. Although the resort is new, there's too much walking noise due to the wooden rooms. noise from people walking on upper floor planks can be heard.
My bad experience is losing my health band after the room cleaning. Be careful of your belongings during your stay.

The food in the hotel is average, but the beach is really beautiful. You can also participate in snorkeling at your own expense.
I will go scuba diving again next time

Great environment. Relaxing and doable. Great Sunrise except for occasional overcast. The beach is white. The size of the room is comfortable. Beds are big. The deluxe room has a small balcony which leads to the swimming pool and dining hall. The room is not the cleanest. Saw some baby cockroaches running around the bathroom. The pillows are way too soft. The Aircon power is very weak Occasional power trips.
There are a few dive shops along the way. Good selection for divers who wants different experience diving around Juara. Food prices are average. There is a roti canai shop mia cafe. Which sells out out very quickly. Be on time at 7am if you want to try it.FromAED 291

The hotel owner is Chinese, so domestic friends don’t have to worry about language communication problems. The hotel environment is very good. I personally like nature and virgin forests. This hotel meets my requirements. It’s the most primitive feeling when you come out to play. The cabins are unique and I like it very much. It’s not far from the pier. There is a duty-free shop at the end of the pier. Similar to small shops in China, Tioman Island is duty-free Island, you can book a BBQ with the hotel owner. My family had a nice stay at TDR. It lived up to our expectations and MORE. I am writing because I would like to commend the resort for their help in locating my missing backpack (left at the ferry jetty). When we realised we were missing an important bag (dont ask how, things happen i guess) we called the resort and asked the help from the staff to check if we did leave our bag at the jetty which was a 10 minutes-walk away from the resort. They immediately went to check but the bag was not there. It seemed that TDR didn’t just leave the matter at that, and I dont know how they managed it, but 6.5 hrs later they called to inform me that the bag was on another ferry on its way to a different jetty 30 minutes away from us on the mainland. Kudos to the Bluewater ferry service for picking up the abandoned bag and sent it to their office albeit at a different nearby location. Again, I dont know how but i am so glad that TDR was able to get that information and relayed it back to us. After more than 8 hours of despair, with God’s will, we got back our bag with the help of the staff of the resort, the staff of the Bluewater ferry service and possibly the networking within the small island. Thank you so much for the help TDR. Thank you for making this a really memorable trip with a happy ending.FromAED 363

A Great Stay at Berjaya Tioman Resort
We had a wonderful experience during our stay at Berjaya Tioman Resort. We booked two rooms and were pleasantly surprised to receive connecting rooms, which made our stay much more convenient and comfortable especially for families.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, offering a relaxing atmosphere after a day of exploring the island. One unexpected perk was that can drinks in the hotel were complimentary, which was a nice touch and added to the overall value of the stay.
Breakfast offered a variety of food selections, catering to different tastes. While the spread was decent, the taste could be improved to better match the quality of the rest of the resort experience.
Overall, Berjaya Tioman Resort provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we would definitely consider returning in the future.SOLD OUT

Our overall stay with Dumba was exceptional from booking to checking out this morning. The room and premises is clean and comfortable. Special thanks to the management for allowing us to check in early at 10am because we have to take a really early ferry from Mersing.
Perfect sea view and a few steps from the room to the beautiful sandy beachfront. They also helped us arrange a snorkelling trip for 5.
Highly recommended place to enjoy a quiet relaxing stay in Tioman. The resort is located in Kg Genting which is generally a more serene and quiet environment compared to the rest of the Tioman Island.SOLD OUT

When choosing a hotel, preference was given to the order. It is located 10 meters from the shore, where you fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the surf!
The hostess Aziza is very friendly, she helped buy tickets for the ferry to the island and back, which I could not do myself. Breakfasts are modest, but quite filling. You can also have lunch and dinner at the hotel. We always took seafood. They cook very tasty!
Right in front of the hotel there is a coral reef, where you can see a lot of fish with a mask and snorkel. On the right and left there are diving clubs, where you can learn and dive into the underwater world the next day, if the training goes well. I went to the right, if you look from the sea, everything is organized there by an interesting Japanese family.
I recommend the hotel, but not for possessive tourists for whom comfort is in the first place!FromAED 299
