I was a bit worried, but I found the hotel entrance quickly. The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke Japanese, which was a relief. It's an incredible price considering Hong Kong's small size. The location is great! It's perfect for a place to stay just for sightseeing. If you're shopping and have a lot of luggage, you can just drop it off, take a short break, and then head out again... It's the best! The building itself is old, so some people might like it, but it's well-kept, and there's space under the bed to store suitcases and other items, and there's not a speck of dust on the ground! I was able to blend in with the locals and enjoy the authentic Hong Kong experience! (Though it might not be for those with a germaphobia,) I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a unique Hong Kong experience. You enter a password when entering the accommodation gate and when entering your room, so it's very safe.

The service was excellent, and the price was reasonable. They even helped me with my luggage when I moved rooms. Sometimes people would smoke indoors, but the landlady made an effort to stop it. Thank you.
Small is the expectation in an area as centrally located as this in Hong Kong. Good service, safe and comfortable place to sleep - thank you!

Facilities: The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right next to Harbour City. The ferry to Wan Chai is just steps away, as is the Avenue of Stars. Despite its age, the hotel is exceptionally well-maintained.
Environment: Very clean, with well-kept carpets and rooms. The family room was incredibly spacious, providing plenty of room for our family to move around.
Service: The service was excellent. The charming young man at the front desk was very thoughtful, helping us get a higher floor to fulfill my child's wish to see the sea – big heart! The cleaning staff were also very welcoming. Overall, the money spent was well worth the great service. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant was lavish, with a wide variety of dishes. Choosing a hotel in Hong Kong is always a bit of a headache – rooms are either too small, the location isn't ideal, or the prices are just outrageous. This time, I carefully picked the venerable Royal Garden Hotel, and my overall experience was quite good! 👍
First off, the location is superb. It's just a two or three-minute walk from the Tsim Sha Tsui East MTR station, there are plenty of dining options nearby, and Victoria Harbour is right across the street – a clear advantage.
Secondly, the overall decor exudes a strong 'old money' vibe, especially the restaurants and the rooftop pool. It felt like stepping into a 90s Hong Kong movie scene. ❤️
While the room facilities are a bit dated, they are well-maintained. The sliding bathroom door was incredibly smooth, and the shower had great water pressure. Plus, the bedding deserves a huge shout-out – it was super comfortable! 🥳
Considering its star rating, prime location, and room size, the hotel offers good value for money. I'd definitely recommend it. The staff were also very friendly and didn't have the typical 'Hong Kong attitude' (a common complaint sometimes heard).FromPLN 473

The location is truly authentic; you can wander around downstairs, and everything within a few kilometers feels familiar, giving off that old Hong Kong vibe. The room was very clean and tidy. The hotel beds were spacious, with two 1.5-meter beds, perfectly fine for 3-4 people. The room rate was very reasonable. The hotel's location is also excellent, right above Mong Kok East MTR station, and it's connected to a shopping mall, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. From the airport, take the A21 bus to Mong Kok, then walk through a covered walkway directly to the hotel, which takes about 10 minutes if you walk fast. No need to worry about rain, it's fantastic. The hotel's location is excellent, making shopping and getting around incredibly convenient. The A11 airport bus goes directly to and from the airport. The front desk staff are efficient and quick to address guests' needs. I stayed for 4 nights, and the hotel's breakfast buffet was pretty much the same every day. I'd suggest varying the options a bit daily! The hotel is a bit older, so the facilities are slightly dated, but the room was spacious enough for 2-3 suitcases, which is a rare find in crowded Hong Kong. Definitely recommended!FromPLN 364

The location of the hotel is relatively convenient since it’s a few minutes away from Jordan Station. The temple night market and anytime fitness is close too from the hotel (approx 10-15min walk). The breakfast options aren’t the best but food was hot and decent. We had 2 main issues with the hotel which is the cleanliness and fire alarm. We found several cockroaches in the room but the staff moved us to a different room right after we reported it. Regarding the fire alarm, it went off at 2am waking us up. We evacuated and went downstairs immediately. However, they told us there was no fire and it was just gas leak issue. No apologies. Just told us that it’s normal and we should just go back to our rooms.FromPLN 225

Hygiene: The bed sheets and duvet covers didn't seem to have been changed, as there were a few strands of hair on the pillow, and more hair was found when I pulled back the duvet at the foot of the bed. After the sheets were changed, my skin felt itchy when I slept at night.
Service: The service was alright. They were cooperative when I asked for new sheets, trash removal, and extra tissues.
Environment: The hotel's location is quite central, making it convenient to get around.

The room was clean and spacious for Hong Kong. One thing that really made it inconvenient were the elevators, perhaps I checked in at the wrong time, but with almost everyone carrying luggage the elevators were always full and it took some waiting to get on.
There is a 7-11 right across, many food spots at walking distance and the MTR station is also in the vicinity.
As for the view, I booked the harbour view room, but honestly couldn’t see the harbour much (maybe a higher floor would be better, I was on the 20th).FromPLN 245

Stayed here on the way back from Guangzhou. Excellent location, just a 15-minute walk from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station.
The check-in staff was wonderful—the lady noticed I was Japanese and kindly switched to Japanese to help me. That small gesture made me feel so welcome! I was also lucky to get a free upgrade because the 5th floor was newly renovated.
The room was great, with a well-equipped bathroom, a large mirror, an electric kettle, and USB ports for charging devices. Just keep in mind that due to local regulations, hotels no longer provide free bottled water, so you'll need to buy it beforehand. The room had a nice view of the cityscape, mountains, and a glimpse of the sea.
It’s only a 5-minute walk to Austin Station, and there are tons of restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!
電車で広州に行った帰りに宿泊。終着駅の香港西九龍駅から歩いて15分くらいの超便利な立地。チェックインカウンターでは英語で受付を始めたが、担当してくれた女性が「私日本語話せますよ」と一言かけて下さった。なんとありがたい！チェックインの英語は練習したとはいえ、母国語で対応して頂けるならそちらの方が断然嬉しい。こういう小さな一言が大きなサービスである。予約した部屋はシティビスタキングサイズベッドルームだったが、5階が新装オープンしたばかりなようで、無料グレードアップしてくださった。ユニットバスにはアメニティはもちろん装備されていて、大きな鏡がついているので大変便利。備え付けの湯沸かし器でお湯を沸かしてコーヒーやお茶を入れることも可能。ただ条例により、ホテルではペットボトル水の無料サービスは廃止になっているので、外で買う必要がある。机には大きなテレビと鏡があり、コンセントも２つついている。充電器がなくてもUSBケーブルがあればスマホやPCの充電は可能。海からちょっと離れているが、カーテンを開けると朝日に眩しい街並みの向こうに山々と海がかすかに見える。帰りはオースティン駅まで歩いて5分ほど。近くには飲食店が大小問わず沢山あるので事欠かない。FromPLN 382

The breakfast on the first floor offered a good variety, and the restaurant environment was also quite pleasant. The only inconvenience was that the laundry room required tokens which had to be exchanged at the front desk.
