Nestled amidst lush greenery and surrounded by the soothing sounds of insects and birds, this secluded cabin offers a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The owner even went the extra mile by offering us a hearty breakfast to kickstart our day. Access to the loft is via a collapsible staircase, which may not be suitable for those with a fear of heights.

This cabin offers a fantastic, peaceful vibe completely surrounded by nature. While the location is a bit remote and far from the main tracks, the quality of the facilities made our stay very comfortable. The only real downside was the heavy presence of bugs after dark, so you definitely need to come prepared for that. Overall, a wonderful nature retreat if you don't mind a secluded drive and some local wildlife.

Stayed at the Deluxe Villa in WE Hotel Toya Dusit Collection and it was honestly one of the nicest stays during our Hokkaido trip. The villa was extremely spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with a very modern Japanese style. What surprised us most was how big the villa actually was — it came with 3 bedrooms, 3 toilets, a large living room, dining area, laundry room, and even 2 floors. It truly felt more like staying in a luxury private house rather than a hotel. The atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a getaway near Lake Toya. We especially loved the warm wood interior, tatami-style seating area, huge windows, and cozy living space. The bedrooms were comfortable and the entire villa was very well maintained.
- Yee11
We've stayed at villa 1 (3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms - 1 bedroom is a small tatami bedroom + small bathroom). The lounge has an amazing view. Hospitality and the aesthetic is great, however the bathroom doors are glass doors and I can imagine it would be inconvenient for travellers in friends groups. Ground floor bathrooms have sewage smell as well, we suspect the villa hasn't been used often so the water has been left at U pipe. Aside from these small problems, we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast is a set, and it's a big portion.

If you enjoy an expensive, overcrowded hotel with little personal service, you've come to the right place! Pay premium to do your own check-in and scan your own passports too! The saving grace for this hotel are the rooms: Such a gorgeous view of Lake Toya! You can also see Mt Yotei in the distance, as well as the beautiful Nakajima island in the middle of the lake. The rooms are spacious and you can watch the nightly fireworks from the comfort of your balcony. Both the breakfast and dinner buffets are served in the cavernous Le Vent restaurant where the spread is fairly extensive but arguably underwhelming. Did I mention a JPY 11k (that's right) lost room key card charge?? A 7-pointer for me and I would search for alternatives if I were to stay at Lake Toya again.

Absolutely loved this hotel! The lake views are unbeatable, and you can see Mount Yotei right from your window. The best part was being able to watch the fireworks display from the comfort of our room! Both the breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious and offered a wide variety of thoughtfully prepared dishes. The service was also excellent, truly impeccable! Five stars all around! ✌️

This hotel is located on a hilltop, offering fantastic views of both the lake and the sea. We stayed in a lake-view room this time and even caught a fireworks display at night, though they were a bit small. The sunrise in the morning was absolutely beautiful, with a very tranquil lake. While the hotel is a bit older, the amenities and service are still top-notch. I really love this hotel.

The hotel is beautifully situated on the shore of Lake Toya. Our room on the 7th floor offered a perfect lake view, and we even had a lake gull perch outside our window, seemingly welcoming us – it was quite charming! The hotel boasts excellent facilities; our kids absolutely loved the kids' space. Our whole family agreed that breakfast was a bit tastier than dinner. For dinner, the hotel kindly provided us with 60 minutes of complimentary soft drinks, which we greatly appreciated. The 'Star Hot Spring' definitely offers an unbeatable view and was incredibly comfortable. The male and female baths switch over in the early morning. We visited the 'Moon Hot Spring' the night before, which was very elegant, and then woke up early to visit the 'Star Hot Spring,' which had a captivating view. The hotel also offers discount coupons for nearby attractions if you simply ask. The bus stop is right at the hotel's doorstep, with clear schedules for both the outbound (Chuo-dori) and inbound (Motomachi) routes. The room amenities were comprehensive, and staff even came in the evening to prepare our futons, which were very comfortable – we slept wonderfully. Just a short walk downstairs, we found duck boats to rent; we had a great time with one pedal boat and one electric boat! The evening fireworks display was quite romantic, though the scale of the fireworks wasn't huge, it was still lovely to watch casually.

The hotel was clean and tidy, and the service was pretty good. The onsen (hot spring) was excellent and very hot; there's even an outdoor one where you can soak while watching the snow. The price was fair. The only thing that could be improved is that breakfast and dinner could be a bit more varied. Oh, and the complimentary sake was fantastic!

The basic price was reasonable, but the service was terrible. The facilities were poor. The room was spacious, but the quality of the door seemed questionable, and the locking mechanism was very old-fashioned, probably because it was converted into a guest room later. There's a huge difference between lake-view and mountain-view rooms, and the front desk said almost all mountain-view rooms were corner rooms. I don't recommend the two-meal plan; although I expected frozen food, it was still incredibly unappetizing. The onsen was old-fashioned, with only one outdoor pool in a wooden hut. You could see the fireworks, but they were obstructed. I went to the lakeside pavilion for a day trip, which had fully outdoor open-air onsens – the facility difference was truly significant. The only thing worth praising was that the service was much better than expected; both the restaurant staff and the various front desk personnel I encountered had excellent attitudes.

*⭐ Amazing stay at Toya Kanko Hotel with Lake View* Booked a Lake View room and the view was unreal — woke up to Lake Toya right outside the window. At night we could see fireworks from the room, zero crowds needed. Felt so special. *Highlights:* 1. *Private onsen option*: Booked a private family onsen and it was worth every yen. Clean, spacious, and relaxing with lake views. No rushing with others. 2. *Fireworks*: Room faced the lake so we watched the nightly summer fireworks from bed. Hotel staff even told us the timing. 10/10 experience. 3. *Room*: Spacious Japanese-Western room, tatami + bed. Clean and well-maintained. 4. *Location*: Right by the lake + short walk to shops. Buffet dinner had local Hokkaido food too.

There's no front desk service in the early morning, so this place is more suitable for guests who drive. There are no shops nearby either. However, the view outside the window when you wake up in the morning is absolutely beautiful and puts you in a great mood. The bed is large, but the bathroom and bathtub are a bit old. The jacuzzi function on the tub is broken and unusable.

First, my apologies to the hotel! Their service was excellent. I didn't see anyone in the bathing area when I entered, so I took some photos. I wanted to share these with anyone considering staying here, so they could see the environment in detail. The hotel is directly opposite Mount Yotei, offering fantastic views. The room came equipped with bath towels, hand towels, bathrobes, and a razor. Before entering the hot spring pool, you'll need to bring your toiletries and room key. You can place your belongings in a basket before entering the hot spring. A hot spring tax of 300 JPY is collected before check-in. The washing machines are free to use, but laundry detergent is not provided. You'll need to buy it outside or bring your own. The room shows some signs of age, which makes it perfect for nostalgic enthusiasts! It has both air conditioning and a radiator. The view from the window is absolutely beautiful, making it a great spot to sit by the bed and relax. Overall, it's pretty good.

We had a great stay in Toya! The hotel is conveniently located near both the bus station and the train station, which made traveling very easy. The location is definitely one of its best features. The staff were very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Just a heads up — there is no private bath in the room, so be prepared to use the public bath/onsen. But honestly, the onsen was very good and relaxing, so it was a great experience. Getting a taxi early in the morning (before 7 AM) can be quite difficult in Toya, so it’s better to arrange your taxi the night before. A taxi from the station to the hotel costs around 2,000–3,000 yen. Overall, a comfortable, relaxing, and convenient place to stay!

The boss also helped us to pick us up at that time. There are three hiking routes next to the hotel. There are two short ones. It takes more than half an hour to go back and forth. In the morning, we slowly walked to the Jinbiluo Fire Exit Observatory. The raw sika deer was curious and cautiously observed for a while, and then twisted around. It jumped into the planting on the side of the road and disappeared. It had unexpected benefits. According to the boss, there are actually many deer here. You can overlook Lake Toya and the hot spring block and the pool of green mountains. Water (small fire mouth) The boss warmly invited us to come again in winter. The scenery is unbeatable. This hotel is on the mountain, and the scenery is the same as that of the famous big hotels. It is a bit far to walk to the hot spring street, four kilometers. The hotel is quiet and far away. You can only take a taxi to JR Toya Station, which is about 2500yan one way. The price is acceptable. The breakfast is divided into Chinese and Western, and the taste is good. I have to emphasize that the scenery is nothing to say, better than the hot spring street.
