I didn't realise it was stair access only. This wasn't made obvious when I booked or I would have avoided it. Because I have 2 extremely bad knees and cannot do stairs this made it very hard for me. By the time I walked down to there, walked up the outside steps it was too late when I saw the inside steps to go back because my knees were done. Heater not working so by the time I realised this on the first night I physically wasn't able to walk back again. But when I reported this on Tuesday night there was instant action and the issue was resolved. Heater on, but it was VERY loud when running. Not much space to sit and relax. If there were 4 guests there is literally not enough room in the couch/fridge/tv area to accommodate. And one of the luxurious things about staying in a hotel room is sitting in bed and watching TV which is impossible here. It has been years since I've stayed in a hotel or motel room that does not supply shampoo/conditioner so this was a surprise. Fridge door jammed, had to push it hard to close.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and reasonable: it bar all the things I needed but I found the location next to a pub so encountered a few drunks which wasn’t pleasant

We stayed in a self-contained apartment that was clean, spacious and comfortable. There were plenty of eating options nearby and also supermarkets within walking distance. We were surprised on arrival that there was no on-site parking available (we weren't given an option to book it or told it was required), but there was an off-site option provided a short distance away

A family-style hotel with complete internal facilities, including a basic washing machine and dryer, which is convenient. There are no special facilities in the entire hotel, but the service is good. Walking towards the lake view is very leisurely and comfortable. There are a small number of shops nearby, which is enough.

Crowne Plaza Mawson Lakes is located about 25 mins m north of the Adelaide CBD in close proximity to the University of South Australia Mawson Lakes campus and is a great base for families of students attending events at the university. The surrounding areas have a few good restaurants especially on Mawson Lakes Boulevard. There is plenty of free parking in the adjacent Main Street and cheap paid parking in the UniSA Parking lot on University Boulevard North in addition to the secure paid parking available at the hotel. The hotel has decent rooms and bathrooms and a well stocked bar and restaurant next to the check-in lobby. Hotel provides a good breakfast buffet. The immediate surrounding is area is primarily residential and safe. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.
