There is a stay experience that was amazing! It’s not so much a hotel as a complete, authentic century-old tea house that takes you back to colonial times and has an old dream of tea as a soul. The entire hotel is composed of five colonial bungalows, scattered across a tea mountain, with echoing connections and isolated privacy. We booked Norwood, quiet and romantic. The service here is the most unique experience in the top luxury hotel I have ever stayed in. Every Bungalow has a 24-hour butler. When I first checked in, I really did everything in detail. I always mentioned that I hope to give us the feeling of treating this as my own home. There is no menu or fixed time for dining here. You need to communicate with the housekeeper and the chef in advance, and make and provide meals according to the needs of the guests. The focus is on the unexpectedly delicious!

Beautiful hotel with large territory

The room is average, old. The room alone is not worth 1700. There is no need to spend money to stay here, you can walk in to the bar, Thai restaurant, Indian restaurant, afternoon tea, and you can pay with cash or credit card. You can enter all places by punching in. Many people come here to punch in and eat and then stay in other hotels. I think the hill club next door is a good substitute, they are all old houses anyway. Save 1000 yuan and do anything you want, rich people can do whatever they want. The black people here are completely different from the Chinese and white people. When white people check in, they will take you on a hotel tour and introduce you. The black person who took us to the room had a cold face the whole time, and of course I wouldn't give you the tip I prepared if you gave me a face. The hotel has a check-out time of 11 o'clock, please note this. I agreed to 12 o'clock, and he called me at 11:30 to ask me to check out, otherwise I would be fined 5000 rupees...haha

The hotel is located on a tea mountain, and it is still relatively cool, but the rooms are equipped with heaters. The whole room is very spacious, and the three beds are spacious and comfortable. The building next to it has a swimming pool, billiard room, sauna and massage center, and there is an internal shuttle to the activity area here.

The scenery of the hotel is absolutely perfect! When I ordered it, I didn’t expect it to be so beautiful when I saw the picture! The room size is average but the view is worth it! The butler also took us to visit the vegetable garden at the back. The ingredients in the hotel are all grown in this vegetable garden.

Quiet location in the middle of a tea plantation about 30 minutes drive from Nuwara Eliya. Hotel had an age old charm retaining many of its colonial era features. Carpeted and so mostly quiet at night apart from the occasional creaking with guests coming and going. Good wifi and water supply. We needed to use the heater at night but a comfy nights sleep otherwise with blackout curtains. Thank you Patmanathan for keeping our room clean and stocked up. The grounds are well maintained and they have a lovely small garden. They have tea tasting, nature walks, Horton Park guided walks as options for those interested. The Spa had good options too and is very reasonably priced. Highly recommended if you are staying in the area.

It's said to be a British-style hotel, but it doesn't even have a garden. There's no hairdryer in the room, so I had to call to get one. There are relatively few breakfast varieties. The worst thing is the location and environment. There is a road just outside the hotel, and there is not even a place to walk. However, the hotel's service is warm, so I give it five points in this regard.

Breakfast is boiled eggs and tastes good. Don't talk about extra beds. The bed is 1.5. The room is very small. If you bring a child, it will cost 10 dollars. Parking is available at the door. The location is remote, just one restaurant, two for food. 200usd, I can't figure it out.

We are family of three. Two adults and one child. We were given 2 single beds. My husband and child had to sleep on the floor. We couldn't put the beds together as it was fixed. Couldnt get another room as they were full. The room was overdone. Two dressing tables , two big arm chairs, dining table & chairs etc., big spacious room but too many furniture making it uncomfortable. When we informed the front office manager , he said it wont happen next time. Well, we are not too sure if qe wont to stay here though.

The hotel is located on the mountain with a beautiful environment. The hotel building style is British style. The room is spacious, but the facilities are very old, especially the bathtub. The heater is loud, but the heating effect is average. The hotel buffet is not delicious, but the breakfast is OK. I ordered food to be delivered to the room, which was surprisingly delicious. Two pastas, a hamburger, and a cream of chicken soup cost 200 RMB. This is the price for tourists in Sri Lanka. The front desk service is inefficient. It took me at least half an hour to check in.
