The hotel has a great location—right next to the train station, which provides easy access to every attractive spot on the island. There are plenty of nice restaurants nearby, and you can also enjoy the sea views.
The room was perfectly adequate for two people, overlooking the pool. It was usually quiet, the beds and pillows were really comfortable, and housekeeping was done daily. Last night, our compatriots really put up a good fight.
Regarding the relaxation area, the sauna was unfortunately out of order, and the jacuzzi looked uninviting, so we didn't dare use it. The pool was okay, but only open until 6:00 PM, so if you're doing a lot of sightseeing, chances of getting a dip are slim.
We only had breakfast—there was always something to choose from, although nothing fancy. It was a simple, British breakfast that served its purpose.

The hotel location is good, just 5 mins walk to the beach and bus terminal where you get bus to Valetta and many other places for €2.5. Hotel gave us leaflets for bus schedule, map when check in which is very good. Many restaurants and convenient stores near by. I was sick after having €12 buffet dinner in the hotel. May be due to small flies on the water melon. Suggest hotel put lids on all food trays. Breakfast is ok with enough choices. Dissapointed on the amenities. Only one bottle of liquid soap for both hair and body. No conditioner. Both pools are with salty water. The indoor pool water is so salty and full of chemical smell. Not suitable for human to swim. It's a scam that hotel charges weekly fee and deposite for in room safety box. Also charge deposite for TV remote.

Amazing accommodation. Everything looks new. Quiet residential area. Lots of mini markets around. Bus terminus and Buggiba jetty just 10 minutes walk.
Just meed to buy special brushes for shower grooves .... always difficult to clean. Rest immaculate. A microwave would have been useful. Only sofa for 2 but flat for six ??

An amazing hotel with excellent service, beautiful facilities (pool, sauna, breathtaking views), and a great location close to everything. Parking on-site is very convenient, and the staff are genuinely warm and welcoming.
We were surprised with a lovely honeymoon gift a bottle of champagne, a cake, and a beautifully decorated room.
Truly superb and unforgettable. We’ll definitely come back one day!

Area seems safe and caters to tourists well, apartments are close to big hotels and other accommodation so lots of restaurants near by. The bus service is really good too. The airport is around 40 minutes away by bus.
The lobby is nice and staff are lovely.
Amenities such as the indoor pool are in another building over the road which isn't nice to walk to if it's cold and raining outside. The apartment building itself has no amenities.
The pictures are misleading, the bathroom is very old and smells musty, no hose on the shower, very small bath, TV very small, no washing machine, microwave is only by request. The water is not drinking water, the kitchen is old, broken and stained, most other furniture looks a few decades old, the room and therefore my clean clothes, smelled of vegetable soup. I'd just come from a similarly priced apartment elsewhere which was like night and day so definitely felt like I was slumming it. The bedding and towels were clean and if you just need a base, it's ok. It was peaceful at night. Oh also it was supposed to have air con but I don't think that it did.FromSAR 503

I had a fantastic stay at Gillieru Harbour Hotel — I can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, relaxed, and honestly spoiled (in a good way).
What stood out:
• Location: Absolutely unbeatable. The hotel overlooks the harbour in St. Paul’s Bay, which means beautiful sea views as soon as you step out onto the balcony. It’s also just a short walk to lots of restaurants, bars, shops and the bus stops. 
• Cleanliness & Comfort: The rooms were spotless; every day the room was cleaned and made up to a high standard, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms modern and tidy. Little touches (like fresh water in the room) made a difference. 
• Staff & Service: The people working there were friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care. Reception was informative, restaurant & pool‐bar staff were welcoming and always ready to assist. It felt like a family‑run hotel in the sense that service had warmth. 
• Facilities & Views: The sea view rooms are worth the extra cost — being able to look out over the bay, watch the boats, enjoy sunrise/sunset from your balcony is a treat. The pool terrace is lovely for lazy afternoons, with a pool bar, sun‑loungers, and great lounging space.

We have just come back from our holiday and were pleased to stay at this hotel. Very good value for money!

We had our towels cleaned every day, rooms are comfortable and great for this price we paid. Staff is friendly, breakfast is good. The indoor swimming pool is very warm, however I was disappointed that there was no sauna (in some old website listings it was mentioned that they did have sauna at some point, but not longer the case). Jacuzzi was very warm in the first few days, but with luke warm water the rest of our stay.
7 euros city tax for 2 people.
They offer evening entertainment 2-3 times a week with some live music, which was enjoyable.
The hotel is very clean and smells pleasant.
Nice cocktails at the bar.

My stay at the AX Odycy hotel left me with very mixed feelings. Visually, the hotel makes a good impression – the lobby and common areas are very stylish, and without a doubt, the biggest asset is the fantastic rooftop jacuzzi with a beautiful view, perfect for relaxation. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Although breakfast offered a wide selection, it was based on low-quality ingredients, which diminished its value. However, the most serious issue turned out to be the condition of the bathroom. We found not only visible mold and dirt on the grout and damaged shower seals, but what's worse, one of the glasses in the bathroom had a visible lipstick stain from a previous guest. Clearly, the room had not been properly cleaned and did not meet basic hygiene standards. Additionally, the room lacked bathrobes and slippers, even though other guests had them, and the 'shampoo' bottle was incorrectly filled with shower gel.Good104 Reviews

I loved it so much the first day that I paid a little more and upgraded to a higher floor, and the view was shocking! The cheap rooms here are even better... Forklifts and tower cranes were going back and forth right before my eyes. ㅜㅜ Are Trip.com and the hotel in their right mind, seeing them selling this for money?
