It is really a good resort in the heart of city where you can visit all the famous heritage sites within the vicinity of 3 km Food taste is really good in the in house restaurants, spa facilities are really good Pool view chalets are also very spacious though are basic category just outside the room there was large pool and you can enjoy and relax just outside Overall a very good experience for all age groups families and couples

The former Govt. owned ‘ITDC Hotel’ which was bought by GRT group and renovated to modern standards over 2 decades ago and now being run by the Radisson Group for the past 8 years or so. The rooms, facilities, etc. are all beginning to show its age, especially when compared with the newer ‘InterContinental Resort’ and ‘Sheraton Resort’ The service at Radisson Temple Bay is also a mixed bag, a lot of the staff need to be probably retrained better (housekeeping, etc.) The food and service otherwise at both their restaurants ‘Wharf’ (by the sea-side which is a must try) and their Coffee Shoo ‘Waters Edge’ are both good.

The actual accommodation, while having a nice view, is rather old and run down. Service is not trained and doesn’t accommodate the simplest requests. Seafood in the seafood restaurant isn’t fresh (apart from the fish). There’s a rule for everything: beach access closed at 6 -＞ prison, pool closes at 7, so does the spa -＞ nothing to do.

If you are smokers, you would need to upgrade to a balcony room as the property is a non-smoking environment. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the sheets are perfect. Each room has a comfortable couch for a work station. The kitchenette is available to use at an additional 3000 inr extra. The dishwasher is available for use. Bathroom is very spacious, and not to mention TAJ Soaps.. Pool, Gymnasium, steam and sauna are complimentary.

The apartment is very convenient, it may take a long time to build and the facilities are not very new. The service staff is very enthusiastic, helping to get luggage, deliver things, check in and check out quickly. The restaurant is on the first floor, and the taste from the lobby to the entrance of the restaurant is too Indian. Breakfast is ok, because I usually only make oat milk, I do n’t eat Indian meals and do n’t comment on the taste. The service attitude is very good and very welcoming. The emphasis is on exaggerating the Asian restaurants in the same courtyard. The names are shown in the picture. The environment is very good. Recommend beef and chicken wings, according to their own requirements of spicy degree, more in line with my taste. Tiramisu is fine too. Overall satisfaction.

The Taj Cormandel was a fantastic hotel and stay for us on our recent trip to Chennai. We were made welcome from the minute we stepped out of the cab. All staff are very helpful and friendly but Amit from the Chipstead deserves a special mention for his outstanding customer service and welcoming manner. Rooms were large and very comfortable. Housekeeping and services were top notch, plentiful large towels and hot water, plus some housekeeping surprises we enjoyed on our stay. Breakfasts were buffet style with lots of choice and culinary types, service was very well organised and any special breakfast requests delivered to your table.   Choice of restaurants for having dinner and a lounge for drinks and cocktails.  Swimming pool with outside loungers and fitness room are on the lower ground area of the hotel. Towels provided. Would recommend a stay here.

The front office is friendly. Fast check is in check.. Security was good with Siraj, very attentive to checking, felt safe. Breakfast was not too bad, can be better. The egg specials were very good. They provide water in refill bottles, like their sustainability efforts around the hotel. With construction nearby, the room remained silent. In room dining is tasty. The bedding, floor, and the room in general were clean. The location was also very close to the bustling downtown area. As a beer lover, I appreciated having an alcohol store nearby. The downsides were that the water wasn't hot, only lukewarm, the sink drainpipe was detached and leaked directly onto the floor, and there was no shower. However, Chennai in May is scorching, so I didn't mind the lukewarm water at all. Overall, I'm satisfied!
