This hotel gave a tip top services from the staffs with clean n big room. They are very polite and helpful. Verities of breakfast n free flow of non alcohol drinks served at the lounge. Location is very good with many mall surrounding the area. Makati is very safe area to walk around. I'm so happy through out my stay & definitely will choose this hotel again.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Raffles Hotel in Makati, Manila. Room rate includes afternoon tea and free drinks in the evening. The room had high ceilings and the bathroom was clean and large.

Front office is amazing and attentive. Grand Hyatt and the Peak is an experience in itself. Every room has a bath tub and the hallway, lift smell really good. Not also as crowded as the likes of Savoy/ Belmont. Bar bites in The Peak is also yummy, highly recommended is their Negroni.
- Xian Manimtim
Layout is a little bit weird with the shower, toilet and bath tub in separate rooms. But the room came with illy coffee machine, free water and banana chips which were nice touches.

I have been several times in the Sheraton, being opposite to Terminal 3 of the Manila airport. If you have only hand luggage you can walk there, if more, than you need a taxi, even some of the Manila taxi drivers are not so happy about the short distance. Thus, take a metered taxi and give them more tipp, so it normally works fine. This time I only had time for a stay during the day since my second flight left at midnight. I got an upgrade to a Junior Suite which I liked very much even I only had 8 hours in the hotel. But those were really worth it since I decided to book a massage in the spa on short notice and had luck to get the last free slot. Which was an absolute outstanding experience that I only can recommend to every visitor who has problems with shoulders or other parts of the body after a long flight. Wellness is not only a massage but all together: the environment, the cleanliness, the mood of the people working there, the smell, the music, the rooms. And all was absolutely top! Starting with a very warm and nice welcome by Camille, explaining the treatments. A great start with charme! My massage (one hour) then was given bei Lei; it was one of the best in the past years and I know when coming back to the Sheraton I will book her again. Nice, respecting your pain-points and having perfect moves to make your body parts movable again. Unfortunately, only one hour but helping me a lot to bear the next long flight for more than 9 hours. The only disadvantage on this evening was that a pool party took place which was very noisy. But since I have been young, too, even this was a long time ago in the last century, it is acceptable. The hotel had left a letter of excuse already in advance in the room. That's life.
- Guest User
One of the best massages I’ve had in a while! Very comfortable setting and felt at home. They even let you play your own music while you enjoy your massage! My masseuse Lin made sure that I was relaxed throughout the whole massage. Definitely recommend!

We would like to share our appreciation of the wonderful job and the pleasant experience we had with MJ, our housekeeping server. she always served with a smile and gave us a sense of security with knowing we can trust her when we were not in our room. she checked on us when we walked by in hallway to make sure we did not need anything and was always approachable. Another reason we will give a referral to our friends and family.

Reviews From Real Travelers
This hotel is adequate, but slightly overpriced vs. competition. While they have updated the lobby in recent years, from what I can tell there has been little effort to update guest rooms, which are dated vs. other 5 star properties like the Westin. The one differentiating factor this hotel previously had was a great breakfast buffet served in the Pacific Lounge on the 21st floor with floor to ceiling windows that gave a sweeping view of the skyline and the bay. It was carpeted with cushioned club chairs and those soft surfaces absorbed noise and the overall experience was a great way to start your day compared to the crowded and loud breakfast buffets at other 5 star hotels. Well someone decided to spend a lot of money to destroy that experience. They have opened a new restaurant on the first floor that is loud, crowded and gives you a view of 7-11 across the street instead of the bay. I spoke to the GM about this, so he already knows my opinion, but what continues to strike me is his point that the Pacific Lounge is “a premium space” - yes Sir, that’s true and previously it was one that virtually all your guests got to enjoy which is exactly why it was THE difference maker for this hotel. I came back thru Manila for a night on May 15 and was going to try the Sheraton one more time, but it was fully booked. Instead I stayed at the Westin for less money. There was no comparison- the Westin’s rooms have a much higher end finish, their food was better, and the service there was far superior like being provided a welcome drink and the Manager sending fruit to my room with a welcome note. The Sheraton Manila Bay is no longer on par with Manila’s best hotels
- Guest User
The hotel was recommended to me for a staycation, and it did not disappoint. Check in was a breeze. Our room was spacious and clean. There were a few should I say mishaps but didn't really reduce our experience. The welcome amenities in the room were awesome. Special thank you to the staff who handwritten our welcome card. The personalization meant a lot. The hotel is strategically located to be close to everything really. The buffet, although it wasn't a feast like other hotels, more than sufficed for a great dinner and breakfast experience. The overall service was excellent. Highly recommended and will definitely come back. And yeah, in case you are planning to stay, go ahead and be a Club Marriott member.

We have been going to Edsa Shangrila for family staycations for a long time now. It's our whole family's favorite quick getaway. We feel most comfortable and taken cared of at Edsa Shangrila. Our kids especially love swimming in the pool. We would like to give a special shout out to Sir Manny (lifeguard) for chatting with our 2 boys from time to time and for always keeping our kids safe while swimming. Thank you too to Sir Oteph Silvan, lifeguard for taking care of us. For my husband and I, we enjoy having drinks and peanuts at the Pool Bar made relaxing and easy with the impeccable service headed by Mavic and the whole Pool Bar team, Chef Anthony and Nikki! Of course, the whole stay won't be complete without experiencing dining at The Heat. We are most at home with our friends at Heat namely, Kap Mike Cifra, Angelica Banal, Stephen Manuel, Vergel Siason, and of course with Chef Anthony Catipay. Special shout out too to Luigi Bautista, Service Associate from guest service center who always took care of our Heat dining reservations and for the care he has has given us during our stay. Thank you too to Sheryl Meneses for her attention to details in keeping our rooms so clean and comfy. Edsa Shangrila is definitely a place we call home because of the great accommodations and the excellent service of people who work there that have become our good friends as well. We'll definitely be back because of them.

Times Square New York|5.31km from city center
The first thing I will mention is that the hotel is 5 star and is expectedly, very expensive, being in the heart of Times Square. I took this into account when writing my review. If I am paying that much, my expectations would be higher than normal. I stayed for 12 nights over the Christmas and NY period so I obtained a very comprehensive view of the hotel and everything about it. Overall it was a very comfortable stay and the staff were always there to attend to any requests and issues. The moment I got out of my transfer car, there was a lovely young gentleman waiting to get all my bags and transport me upstairs to the reception. The check-in was reasonably flawless but there was a bit of confusion around the payment because of resort fees the hotel charges daily. I prepaid my booking and there was confusion over whether it included or excluded the resort fee. The reception area is immaculately presented and the bar and restaurant are both located here. I intended to use the gym during my stay, but didn't have time to even take a peek. Nor did I visit the bar or restaurant. There's way too many options outside to do that. The very polite and courteous young gentleman then took me up to my room. He showed me everything and away he went. I got a bit of a room upgrade which I highly appreciated and had a beautiful view of Times Square. I was on the 2nd highest floor, floor 39. The room is not big. It was adequate for one person but nothing more. I don't think I would be able to stay here if I was with another person. It would be too uncomfortable and I had to find space for my 2 suitcases and carry-on. The bathroom is open plan, with a door for the shower and toilet. A big problem I had in my room was that if it was windy you will hear a loud whistle coming through the bottom of the front door. It really annoyed me. I had to take the cover off the bed and make a snake shape to block the gap underneath the door to stop the noise. Even a bath towel didn't work. They need to fix this. The hotel is very new and the rooms are very beautifully equipped, presented and maintained. I was pleased to see that most of the things I requested before I arrived (some extra bath mats, bath towels, hand towels, face towels, mini fridge, bathroom scale) were mostly there upon arrival. I quantified the number of towels I needed as I was not getting any housekeeping during my 12 night stay but I did not get the quantity requested. I expected a bit more attention to detail for a 5 star hotel. Before I arrived I was asked if I was celebrating a special occasion and Guest Services pushed up my expectations as I was celebrating a special occassion and they said something nice, I assume maybe a cake or some alcohol would be waiting for me in the room. When I arrived there was nothing. And there was never going to be anything throughout my stay. I didn't mind and only remembered towards the end of the stay. When I enquired via email I was met with silence. They

The room has a good view and compared to the same price, I personally think it is not up to standard, but it is very comfortable. It is understandable in this area of NYC. If you want a good view, you can’t go wrong by booking this hotel. You must book the Skyline. The highest floor that the elevator can reach is 36 Skyline. The line is at 35. It’s really beautiful at night. If you are looking for comfortable accommodation, there are better hotels at the same price. Although there are always patrols in the busier streets of Manhattan, there are still some homeless and secluded small hotels nearby when you go out at night. Try not to walk on the alley. I hope everyone goes out together at night and pays attention to safety.

I booked into the Marriott for 3 days over New Year's Eve. Based on the hotel star rating and the price that I had to pay for that period of time, I was expecting a certain level of service standards. Unfortunately, what I found was that the housekeeping of the hotel seemed to be dysfunctional during that period. I requested at the front desk on New Year's Day at 1pm to have my room made up as we slept in late for the day since we were out late the night before. The front desk confirmed that they would get it sorted. However, when I got back in the evening, no housekeeping was done for my room. Additionally, the general cleanliness level of my hotel level was lacking on the day. At the general lift area, I saw some Cheerios cereal spilled by kids the night before. It was still there on New Year's day evening and not cleaned up. As for the dining options, the hotel mandated a $30 fee that we could convert into food spend. We decided to spend it on the Level 8 Broadway Lounge. We found the food quality inconsistent. On the first day, I ordered a decaf coffee. It was good and the quality was great. On a different day, the decaf coffee was watered down and really bad. I must however commend them for their good handling of the re-entry of guests back into the hotel after midnight. The queue moved fast and they provided water at the entrance to all returning hotel guests. Overall, I would not be booking the Marriott Marquis in New York ever again because of this experience. It was a real let down as the Marriott hotels that I had been to in other parts of the world had much higher standards.

Great location. But the service standards absolutely disappointed. In room telephone was not working and despite repeated complaints it was not repaired through my stay of 4 nights. So basically we had to go down all the way to reception every time we wanted something at the room. From toiletries to food to water. Even the front desk as well as the duty manager simply expressed inability to do anything about it Initially even some of the lights in the room were not working. Clearly one of the worst stays of my life at a big brand hotel All in all a big disappointment

Our visit brought us to the Even Hotel Brooklyn for a convention. We could not have been more satisfied. Everyone of the staff that we encountered was friendly, helpful and extremely professional. We loved the room. Perfect for getting work done with the stand up desk and ample outlets and ports. The whiteboard is a super touch. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom appointments were sensational. It was fantastic to be able to do a mini work out in the room each day with the aid of stretch bands and a ball. Parking was available overnight on the street by the hotel. Parking lot was not needed. THANK YOU to Cris in housekeeping for getting a piece of luggage returned that was accidentally left in the room. We had it back within 2 1/2 days of realizing that it never made it to the car. The hotel is located at the southernmost end of downtown Manhattan, next to the Hudson River. It is not far from a subway station. The nearest subway station is at the entrance of the museum next to the Wall Street Copper Bull. You can transfer to the subway from the airport. It costs about 100 US dollars to take a taxi or Ulber. The hotel is not far from Wall Street, Hedong Park, the dock to the Statue of Liberty by boat, and the World Trade Center Site. Downstairs from the hotel is the dock of Staten Island. There is a good food supermarket not far away, where you can choose food on site. The room is relatively small, but in a place where land is at a premium in Manhattan, it's okay and the price-performance ratio is relatively high. There is free coffee in the lobby every morning, and the service is good. I arrived very early on the first day, and the waiter asked me to store my luggage. I stayed there for three days. When I left, the black lady at the front desk enthusiastically helped me call a taxi with Ulber, which was a good review.

The Edison Hotel is the perfect place to stay when visiting Manhattan! The location, which is right in the theatre district and a block and a half away from Times Square, is exceptional. One can take a short walk over to Ninth Avenue where there are dozens and dozens of great restaurants. It is near everything!!! The staff were great! They seemed to go out of their way to be polite and professional, which is unusual in this area. Our room was very nice with a King Bed and a great view of the city. While we did not try the Hotel's restaurants and bars they seemed to be fulled of happy customers. The room price, when compared to value provided, is a bargain. You can easily pay a lot more in this area and receive a lot less.. I have stayed in this general area at a number of Hotels in the past that failed to motivate me to write a review. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I stayed there back in 2004 and loved it and was so glad that it was still there. Murray Hill is a great neighborhood that is centrally located (a few blocks from Grand Central). It is quieter and more residential than a lot of nearby neighborhoods, with less expensive places to eat, drugstores, grocery store, a post office, a convenience store, a laundromat, coffee shops, etc. I highly recommend Previti's Pizza, House of Lasagna, and Bagel Express. Their food was amazing and the staff at each were lovely. The hotel room was large by New York standards, as was the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and there was a mini fridge, which was a pleasant surprise. The shower was absolutely wonderful, very large walk-in with excellent water pressure, which is not true of a lot of places in NYC. The weather was impacted by Hurricane Ian, so some nights we were too hot or too cold, because they had to switch back to heat, but that wasn't too bad. The staff here were very gracious and there was a gentleman out front who very kindly helped us with our bags and opened car doors for us, which was a nice treat.

To begin with, I must stress that we only used our room, and spoke to staff on the reception area. I’ve no idea on the quality of the rooftop bar nor restaurant at the hotel. Location: We booked knowing that this was in the Financial district, but I was elated with the location. We got the air-train & subway from JFK and the hotel is just a few blocks from Fulton Street Subway station. I am a quick walker, and found that the World Trade Center was only 5 minutes from the hotel, the same with Wall Street / the waterfront which was a great location to me. There were plenty of shops / restaurants / etc. in the area (where doesn’t have that in NYC?). There was construction work taking place across the street from the hotel entrance, but never any issues with traffic or noise. Reception / Staff: We arrived in the evening on a Wednesday and the staff on reception were really welcoming as we were checking in. They were taking the time to say hello to returning guests as they came through the lobby. We experienced this ourselves whenever we returned to the hotel. It may be a small thing, but it showed good customer service to me. Room: A lot of rooms in NYC are “small” when compared to counterparts in other cities so I never expect masses of space. I was happy with the size of our room when we arrived. We were on the 21st floor, and our room was on the corner overlooking the front of the building and the construction site across the street. There was small walkway between the door to the room and the bedroom. 2 of us stayed there with 2 cases and we found enough room to move around. The bed was comfortable, everything in the room worked. We had a coffee machine and bottled water given to us for drinking. The bathroom had a shower & toiletries, and it was clear everything was clean. When I'm back in NYC, I'd happily stay here again!
