Because it’s for camping or something like that
So it’s very convenient if you can’t carry your luggage (because part of it is grass)
Because it is not a self-driving tour, but if you are traveling by self-driving, it is very convenient because there is a buried parking space
However, the sightseeing bus for Lake Kawaguchi has a stop right at the front door.
It looks so big indoors
But it’s not that big, it’s better outdoors
And you can rent its BBQ grill and the room already has a small kitchen (with kitchen utensils)
There is already a supermarket near the hotel
And there are several restaurants nearby
But it’s not related to the cleanliness of the room (I don’t know if it’s because I only stayed for 2 nights)
And the carpet indoors is a little dirty.

One of the characteristics of a traditional hot spring hotel is that the shower time is from 4 to 9 o'clock. If you don't pay attention, it will be awkward.
Among other things, the food is quite good and relatively average, but it is more difficult to communicate.
The hotel is relatively remote and there is no shuttle, but it is probably one of the hotels closest to Lake Kawaguchi. You can walk to Lake Kawaguchi in 3 minutes. The scenery is beautiful and you can see Mount Fuji directly.

The hotel is about half an hour's walk from Kawaguchiko Train Station, which is not convenient from Kawaguchiko Station... In addition, it feels like it hasn't been renovated for many years. The door of the room is a bit loose, and the sound insulation is not very good. You can hear the doors opening and closing next door, and the voices talking at night. If there are other options, it is recommended not to stay at this hotel.

The room is very clean. It's the first time I stayed in a mixed-gender hostel, but it exceeded my expectations. Everyone is very well-educated, so there is no need to worry about safety or other issues. Instead, I met some very interesting people.
The boss is very nice. He should be learning Chinese. He introduced the various locations of the hotel to me in Chinese. The public area on the first floor is also very comfortable. Snacks and coffee are free🆓. I love this hostel. Oh, by the way, the rooftop should not be too photogenic. You can see Mount Fuji at a glance. It is also clear at night🏙️. It is also a 100-point choice to get up early in the morning to watch the sunrise. Just beside the West Lake in Kawaguchiko, a unique homestay. The store is polite and welcoming. The surrounding environment is beautiful. Going out is the flower and the lake. When the weather is fine, you can overlook Mount Fuji.

Stayed here for two nights the first half was fairly pleasant, room was big with unobstructed view of lake kawaguchi and mt fuji. However the second night we found a huge spider in our toilet room and we called the front desk for help but there was no staff member as it’s not a 24hr service hotel only two securities were there; the staff all went home. So we had to play hide and seek with the spider and took us 3 hours to kill it and finally have a good nights sleep. Told the staff about it the next day and they just acknowledged it and did nothing which was very disappointing for a so called 5 star hotelFrom€387

Avoid at all costs! It's infested with bugs, and the service is terrible if you're not Japanese or white. When I arrived, I was given a room on the 3rd floor with a balcony facing a rooftop and AC vents. I asked for a higher floor, and the front desk pretended not to understand, then switched me to a room on the second floor, first row. That evening, I thought the view was unobstructed and great, and I wondered why this room wasn't fully booked when I moved. The bathroom was on the balcony, and when I went to shower, I found it swarming with thousands of bugs (no wonder the lower floors were empty). I had no choice but to use the public onsen. I hoped it might be better the next day, but in the morning, the balcony was still covered in bugs, and the outdoor bath was also full of them. It was completely unusable, which was a shame given the view. The service was exceptionally poor for Japan. The old man who brought the towels knocked three times within 30 seconds of arriving and had a sour face when I opened the door. In the morning, he completely ignored us downstairs but bowed and enthusiastically greeted white guests with a 'Good morning.'From€277

Very nice I would like to come here again and spend a bit more time. I did two nights and three days but maybe next time I would like to stay 3 to 4 nights to explore the city because I was only staying in the hotel. They have a nice hot spring. I had a problem for my skin but going to a hot spring few times my skin become better and the service was excellent. The staff are very nice and polite. Also professional Food was good. I really love the experience what I had here. I recommend other people as well especially who have a children small or family. You can use this hotel.From€118

The room is incredibly spacious, and the bathtub easily fits 3-4 people, even 5 if needed. The service was exceptional from start to finish. We were greeted at the entrance upon arrival and had a car escort us directly when we left. The environment is also lovely; even though it's not right on the lake and you might not see mountains, it doesn't really matter since it gets dark anyway. Staying here when visiting Lake Kawaguchiko to see Mount Fuji was absolutely the right choice! Our room faced Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko directly, offering an unbeatable view.
We booked a Japanese-Western style room, which was divided into two separate areas. It can accommodate up to 4 people with extra futons, perfect for families or friends traveling together. The hotel includes a Japanese dinner, which is served directly to your room. Enjoying a meal while admiring Mount Fuji creates an amazing ambiance.
There's also a delightful happy hour until 6:30 PM, where all soft drinks and beer are free and unlimited – talk about incredible value for money!
Downstairs, there are separate public onsen baths for men and women. Today, I had the women's bath all to myself. Soaking in the quiet, spacious bath while gazing at the lake and mountains was so relaxing, I didn't want to leave! It was truly a triple-S experience.
The service was attentive and gentle throughout, making the entire stay a perfect 10. This place is definitely on my list for a second visit; I'll choose it again when I return to Mount Fuji!From€356

The hotel location is great, right by Lake Kawaguchiko, and it's a ten-minute walk to the train station. Downstairs, there's a restaurant street, a Lawson convenience store, and even a smoking area, plus it's very close to the cable car station. The hotel is a bit old, but it has a lot of character. It also has a hot spring, and the free bath was so relaxing. It was my first time staying in a tatami room, which was quite interesting. Facilities:
Though a 'Super Hotel' is on the smaller side, it's quite new. We were assigned a room randomly; it was compact but had everything we needed, especially the Refa hairdryer, which was excellent – highly recommend!
Every evening from 6-8 pm, there's a complimentary self-service welcome drink in the lobby. While the selection isn't huge, it's a very thoughtful touch!
Cleanliness:
As always, Japanese hotels are impeccably clean and hygienic. For a hot spring hotel, they've done an outstanding job in this regard. 👍
Environment:
The hotel is conveniently located, with a convenience store just a 5-minute walk away. There are also several restaurants nearby, including the incredibly popular Sushiro (easy to get a table!) as well as Sukiya and yakiniku places.
Service:
The hotel does not offer shuttle service.
Even though it's near Kawaguchiko Station, it's not exactly close. The walk involves going through rural paths and fields, and while the views of Mount Fuji are stunning, watching your step on the road can be quite challenging. (See photo)
Having experienced the difficult walk, I decided to take a ride-sharing service for my return trip after check-out (1.2km, about 80 RMB).
Friendly tip: If you're traveling independently with large luggage (which is common for Japan trips) and don't plan on taking a taxi, you might want to seriously reconsider this hotel. Just looking out for my fellow travelers! 🤣🤣
One small complaint about the price: I booked a twin room with breakfast included fairly early. Later, I saw that a room without breakfast was 500 RMB cheaper per night. Given the breakfast provided by the hotel, paying that much extra for two people's breakfast really wasn't worth it.From€77

This hotel has a very traditional, old-fashioned feel. We arrived at Lake Kawaguchiko around 11 PM, so we had to take a taxi to the hotel. We rang the bell at the front desk, and a staff member, wearing traditional wooden clogs, came out. They barely understood English but were very dedicated. They escorted us to our room, meticulously explaining each facility, and even gestured to show us where breakfast would be served. If you want a lake view, I recommend booking a Japanese-style room. We booked a Western-style room, which was on the other side, and in the morning, we saw smoke rising from chimneys outside – a charming, everyday scene. We didn't see any bears, but surprisingly, we spotted monkeys! Breakfast was a set meal, though eating fish so early in the morning took some getting used to. The morning shuttle can take you to Lake Kawaguchiko. For the return trip in the afternoon, the shuttle only picks up after 3 PM. Alternatively, you can take the Red Line bus to a jewelry museum (I can't recall the exact stop) and walk a few steps from there. On weekend evenings, you can watch fireworks from across the river, right outside the hotel. They launch them from both the left and right sides. If you want a closer view, follow the crowd to the left for about 10 minutes.From€105

The hotel offers a free pick-up service from Kawaguchiko Station if you call them, which is very convenient, especially when you have luggage. It's only a two or three-minute drive, so you don't have to worry about getting lost or having to walk with your bags. I chose a lake-view room, and the scenery was lovely. Dinner was served in the room, and the ingredients were excellent, with generous portions – so much so that we couldn't finish it all. The hotel also has private hot springs available for an extra 3000 yen for an hour, which allows you to enjoy views of Mount Fuji. I thought it was pretty good value for money. There's also a public foot bath on the rooftop, offering a clear and fantastic view of Mount Fuji, perfect for photos. Apart from the hotel being a bit pricey, everything else was wonderful. Just stayed for one night to see Mt. Fuji and Iyashi no Sati. Wish we stayed for more! The location is great, very close to Kawaguchiko Station. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Room is very clean, has tatami, and also has futons (besides the beds). Our room is directly facing towards Mt. Fuji, but the neighbouring building blocked it so only the tip is visible. We went in winter so there weren't many flowers in the garden. But they have a specific spot within the resort to see Mt. Fuji clearly. There are also plenty of local restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. Will definitely come here again!From€166

Extremely satisfied with this hotel, it exceeded my expectations!
**Facilities:** I saw some guests mention the hotel being old, but actually, the facilities are excellent. Besides the distinctive tatami rooms and rooms facing Mount Fuji, there's also the hotel's special hot spring. The outdoor bath has such a great vibe, and it's real hot spring water – my skin felt so smooth afterwards.
**Environment:** There are absolutely no issues with the hotel's environment, cleanliness, or rooms; it meets a four-star-plus standard. You can see a full view of Mount Fuji within a 3-minute walk from the hotel, with both sunrise and sunset clearly visible.
**Dining:** The hotel's breakfast isn't particularly varied; I wouldn't recommend paying extra for it. Dinner, however, is highly recommended. It offers a good variety of Japanese specialties, and many people think it's much better than eating out. Some reviews recommend the Wheat restaurant in the hotel courtyard or the restaurant across the street, but the cost-effectiveness might not live up to expectations, and the actual standard could be quite different.
**Service:** I didn't give five stars for service. The hotel's front desk offers Chinese service, and the Chinese staff are especially friendly and helpful, answering all our questions with no communication barriers. However, I was very dissatisfied with the restaurant staff, who I believe were Indian. Breakfast ends at 9:30 AM, and we thought we just needed to have our food by 9:30 AM and wouldn't get more. Instead, the server rudely told us to ”Go Out!” in an impolite manner while we were still eating our paid breakfast. These four stars are solely for the excellent front desk service.
**Additional Notes:** If you have high standards for a hotel, want a hot spring experience, and wish to be close to Mount Fuji, this is an excellent choice. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Fuji-Q Highland and a few minutes from Kawaguchiko Bus Terminal, which is very convenient for returning to Tokyo or other places. Fuji Lake Hotel is situated right on the shores of Lake Kawaguchiko. On one side, you're treated to the magnificent silhouette of Mount Fuji, and on the other, breathtaking lake views. In the early morning, the lake is often shrouded in a light mist, with the mountain's outline subtly emerging. Evenings bring stunning sunsets, casting a golden glow over the water, creating a tranquility that truly takes your breath away. The hotel's courtyard is a picturesque scene with vibrant maple leaves contrasting beautifully with the evergreen pines.
What truly made an impression, however, was every single staff member. From the polite greetings of the doorman, who also ensured our luggage was in our room before we arrived, to the front desk staff who patiently and thoroughly explained the hotel's operating hours (a special thank you to Mr. Oishi for his enthusiastic introduction to the hotel facilities). When we returned to the hotel on a rainy day, we were offered towels, and there was hot tea available in the lobby. The restaurant staff were very professional. During our four-night stay, our room was consistently spotless every time we returned (many thanks to the housekeeping team). Upon check-out, staff saw us off at the door, waving goodbye. Every detail was handled with such care, making us feel genuinely welcome. Because there is no self-drive tour to the time has been 6 pm shuttle bus from Kawaguchiko Station at the latest 5:45 pm, so can only take a taxi about ¥ 2800, although the location is a bit far but in order to shoot the sunrise at the time of Mount Fuji is cheap Rent a barbecue or if the time is earlier you can rent a barbecue grill, so basic seasonings reception are available, accommodation rules state  after 9 pm no more outdoor barbecue or noise so as not to affect others, reception provides front desk service hours until 8 pm!From€138
