Love this place! Each morning we enjoyed beautiful sunrises over Lake Michigan while sipping a hot cup of coffee from a small patio just outside our room. The on-site Little Bit Coffee shop offers light breakfast items each day and small plates a couple days a week which are always delicious. Nice private, sandy beach. The rooms are spotless and the beds are comfortable. The owners are very nice people that want to ensure your stay is perfect.

We have been going to square rigger for years, and absolutely love it! We rent a cabin, and every one we’ve stayed in is clean and welcoming. The owners are so friendly and responsive to anything you might need. The long sand beach is the best in Door County, and the sunrises are spectacular. They also have a nice coffee shop that serves a variety of coffees as well a scones, croissants and light breakfast items. We especially love that it’s located on Lake Michigan (the quiet side of the peninsula), but a short drive to many of the shops on the bay side.Square Rigger offers the best of a Door County vacation.

A great place to stay for a Door County weekend. The room was comfortable with everything we needed. The lake view is amazing. The sunrise and clouds were gorgeous. It is perfectly located to get to things we wanted to do like the Cana lighthouse, Cave Point park and it was not far to the Bayside. The staff was very mid-western friendly and happy to chat. We had breakfast at the little cafe, the day it was open and it was good. The other day we enjoyed the free coffee in the lobby.

This is my 2nd year staying here with these new owners and I can’t say enough about them. They go above and beyond to ensure your stay is wonderful. They continue to make lovely updates/improvements to this beautiful waterfront location. I look forward to future stays and seeing their vision unfold.

Very clean, quiet motel with private beach on Lake Michigan. Reasonable rates for Door County. Bed was comfortable too. Even the landscaping was well tended with beautiful flowers. All employees we encountered were helpful and friendly. We will not hesitate to stay here again!
