Went to location after being recommended by a friend who always visits this hotel. It was such a long drive, through heavy traffic. When I finally arrived, I found the property beautiful. The Valet agent at hotel was by himself, and was completely overwhelmed by 4 cars. Guests standing around in rain, and some deciding to just walk and park/retrieve their cars themselves. Once inside the property was amazing and had a very festive holiday spirit. The room was beautiful, but we found it quite odd they had a single small bottle of lotion for 3 people. Budget cuts? So we called down to the front desk to have some more delivered, and the employee suggested we come to the lobby and purchase more! I thought it was a joke, but he was serious. He offered to send one more small one. Yikes. When I checked out, I asked to speak with the manager and I found that the guy refusing to provide lotion, was actually a manager. Oh my. Voicemail left for GM, but apparently she’s too busy to return guests calls. I’ll stay at the Ritz Carlton next time, to avoid the nickle and dining.

Lovely inn with excellent service. We stayed for Thanksgiving and the dinner and decorations were wonderful. Rooms are large with window seats and decks to look out at the nice gardens and landscaping. Lots of space to hang out in the rooms.

Absolutely first class from the beginning to the end. Excellent service at all restaurants, probably with the only restaurant where you can have breakfast until lunch. Only thing I was missing were real Belgian/French fries, instead of what they called handcut fries. Reception personnel and valet were also first class.

The Allison is truly a beautiful escape. The location and atmosphere are stunning, and our room was incredible, from the cozy fireplace and luxurious tub to the filtered water and thoughtful little details throughout. The layout felt so homey and was the perfect place to unwind after a 10-hour travel day. Everything was spotless and quiet. Service has also been exceptional; the front desk even went out of their way to bring our room keys to the restaurant so we didn’t have to come back. Such a wonderful stay and already wishing we could extend it!

Always a first class experience. I recommend Jory, the tasting experience, the spa, and always the rooms appointed to perfection!
