Stayed here for two nights to check out the city. Location and accommodations were great. • Very walkable to all the nearby tourist attractions in Piazza del Duomo. • Little to no outside noise despite being tucked away off the main road. • The exterior of the building was much older than expected but the room was very accurate to the photos. • Andrea from reception was friendly and helpful from our check-in to check-out. He helped lug up our way-too-heavy bags and scheduled a taxi ride ride for us. • We didn't take advantage of the breakfast service, but the designated dining area was spacious. • The room itself was large and perfect for a quick stay. Thanks for a great stay!

It seems that I am the first to make a comment, so please make a serious comment~ I booked a suite on Ctrip, but from the booking picture, the hotel gave me not a suite, it should be regarded as a deluxe double room. However, because the grandmother at the front desk was so kind and enthusiastic to tell us the location of the traffic spots in Florence, we didn't bother to mention the suite. After all, Ctrip didn't provide a picture and the price was cheap. First of all, this location is quite far away from the railway station, and you have to take a taxi. The taxi in Florence is very expensive and expensive. I took a taxi from the railway station for 16 euros. You can walk to various attractions, but it is quite far away and acceptable. If it is convenient, don't choose here. I struggled with this hotel for a long time. I was mainly confused by the pictures of this hotel. I thought it was a boutique hotel with a special niche in a paradise. I was also attracted by the Ferragamo travel outfits written in the booking review! It is indeed a newly renovated and exquisite boutique hotel, but there was no Ferragamo shower shampoo when I went, and I happened to encounter an elevator failure, the bathroom door could not be closed, and the breakfast environment was quite good, but the category was a bit small, every day I don't know what to eat in the morning. But the flaws are not covered up, it's still pretty. But next time I come to Florence, I will not choose here, the taxi fare is too expensive!

We had a lovely stay at Lorena Suites. The staff were so friendly and helpful despite my embarrassing lack of Italian. Our room was large and beautifully decorated with plenty of places to store our items. It was clean with an excellent cold shower - just what you need after exploring all day in 40 degree heat! Air conditioning was also very welcome as was the well stocked mini bar - this felt reasonably priced in comparison with local shops and provided a few local Italian aperitivo as well. We had a balcony which offered an excellent view of the sunset over the tuscan countryside. When we arrived and realised we were on the 5th floor, I was very grateful to note there was a lift available to take us and our bags up. Lorena is roughly 20 minutes walk from the duomo but you aren’t too far from other points of interest. We spent €10 in a taxi to get there from Santa Maria Novella station and it was €18 to get back and the host was very helpful in arranging this taxi back for us. When we arrived, the taxi driver pointed out a restaurant on the corner (out of the gates and turn left) which he said offered the best bistecca in Florence. We were dubious but tried anyway and it was incredible - if you want authentic Italian cuisine and company would highly recommend skipping the walk back into the busier areas and going here instead. It is worth noting that some of the rooms face onto quite a busy main road. While this was not an issue at night, in the morning this was quite loud from early on - best to make sure the shutters are fully closed as we found this (plus a couple of bottle of chianti Classico) made for a peaceful lie in. All in all we had a wonderful stay in Lorena Suites, all was fantastic and we cannot wait to find an excuse to come back and visit!

General facilities, older European-style hotels with elevators. There is a large and small supermarket on the opposite side of the hotel. It is closed at 9 o'clock in the evening. It is also very convenient to supplement. The location is very good, the main attractions to the old town are within walking distance, take a look at the city to pay attention to the sights. For self-driving travel, it is suitable. Outside the ZTL, the free parking space at the door should not be considered forever. The parking lot will enter the street behind the hotel building. The iron door will be automatically opened according to the door, but there are only 10 parking spaces, 10 Euro per car. .

The location is about 15-20 minutes walk from the center. The staff were very kind and pleasant, such as telling me the location of the tourist spot using a map. The luggage storage after checking out was done until about 19 o'clock. The disadvantages are that there is no toothbrush and hair dryer, and the toilet is shared. However, the toilet was clean and he lent me a hair dryer if I asked.

Firstly, I thank the hotel for having arranged my late check-in because I arrived about two hours in the morning while there is no reception after 19:30. The hotel is located on a large car artery, but the walls are thick and the inside is nothing to hear. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable, and the hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. Comfortable room, litter ok, rather dark light, very basic. In my room there was a few steps down to get to bed, and a few steps up to get to the bathroom, which was throwing some unpleasant smells (good cover with the box the water evacuation hole from the shower, The hotel was very closed and I had a stick on the window. I didn't take breakfast, but in the morning I crossed no one to the dining room at the reception. I went as I came, putting the keys back in code boxes, closed behind me, without having been able to pay the stay fee. I am not writing this type of reviews often, but unfortunately this time I have to in order to reflect the reality about this hotel. Prior to this hotel we stayed at another hotel in Rome also 4-star that we really enjoyed (price level and distance from city center was similar). Firstly, I would like to point out that this hotel, even though it has 4 stars, cannot be considered to be a European-level 4-star hotel at all, at maximum a refurbished 3-star hotel. Given the price and its location, I would like to tell you straight, it is quite expensive for what you get, especially given the further circumstances described below. Secondly, I have not read many negative reviews regarding the noise level, but would like to shed some light on that. Even though we asked for a quiet room, we got the room facing the hotel parking and front road. I cannot say that there was a lot of noise from the road, but you could definitely hear cars from the road. But the biggest problem is the noise insultaion, or more precisely its complete absence. We could hear our neighbours talking in the other room like they were in our room. Our neighbours were awake until late night and we could hear them receiving messages while chatting on the phone and it seemed like the phone was vibrating each time near your ear. There was also noise from outside and other neighbours (it was partially not clear where it was coming from), so overall an awful experience also given the fact that each room has roller blinds and some people are using them at night and each time you can hear the mechanism working (it is quite loud). When people flush in other rooms, it sounds like it starts raining heavily. To sum up, insulation is really bad. Thirdly, the room was furbished at the level of refurbished 3-star hotel, the old hairdriers from the 20th century, only one card key, thus you cannot leave the AC on when you leave the room. Room was not ventilated at all once we arrived, so it was very hot to sleep and smell was not very pleasant. Breakfast at the level of 3-star hotel maximum and they do not let people finish their breakfast telling at 9:55am that you have to leave in 5 minutes since the breakfast time ends at 10am. As a cherry on the tart, when we were leaving we were told that the water in the room was not complimentary when we arrived, even though we did not found anywhere information with pricing of water in the room. When I asked where we could find price list for water in the room, as I belive it should be clearly placed in a visible spot, the person at reception firstly insulted us in Italian (not knowing that we speak Italian) and then just answered arrogantly ”it is in the room”, showing that he does not want to speak with us. Unbelievable and unacceptable behaviour from staff, you are paying them for being treated in such a manner... Overall, I understand that Florence is an expensive and crowded city, but in this instance when we unfortunately had only extremely negativ

First off our triple room didn't look like the picture but worse was that it had a sewage smell. When I spoke to the front desk they said nothing could be done that day however they could change our room the following day before 2pm. When I went back the same individual gave me a hard time saying it was too late the rooms were cleaned etc. I persisted with what he told me the day before and then with agitation asked what was wrong with the room. I told him it was the sewage smell, he asked in Italian one of the staff if it was true and she confirmed in Italian that it was defiantly smelly. Needless to say I understand Italian but did not lead on. He stated there was a room available but much smaller. The female took us up to see the room and we agreed to change as room did not smell. I did not question him on the difference in price as he was so unapproachable. We learned latter that day that the air conditioning did not work, so we had to keep the window open through the entire time. Needless to say that it was very noisy as the room back into the alley way. I WOULD ALSO like to say the breakfast was poor selection however the gentleman that worked there was very efficient in keeping the cappuccinos going and cleaning up the tables to make room for all to sit. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS HOTEL AND WILL ADVISE EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO GO THERE. WE SPENT SO MUCH MONEY FOR THIS PLACE, I FEEL WE WERE ROBBED.

I mean during the check in the entire time, the staff ignored me the entire time, I understand he knows I was with my friends, but I have my reservation separately, he should handle it by the order, and not just assigned me the smallest room just because I was a single person.I booked the exactly same type of room just like my friends, and their room is twice bigger than mine. And I can only eat breakfast in bed because there was no room to put it. That’s hilarious actually.

This is a lovely, clean hotel with good facilities and location and an excellent breakfast. It has a very traditional decor, with a modern bathroom. Our room was pleasant enough but the window faced a wall and had huge shutters which we couldn't open. Hence, there was hardly any natural light in the room. I also found the staff a bit unfriendly, especially at the reception desk. There was no greeting if you walked past, and they did seem slightly condescending - not the usual friendliness you would expect on a reception desk. The staff at breakfast were much nicer. I liked this hotel, but a little friendliness and a smile go a long way and would have enhanced our stay.

The hotel was really good. It is NOT located in the center city. It took about 25 minutes in a wheelchair to get to the city. The setting was beautiful. The resturaunt food was about average and really expensive. After the first night eating dinner there, we decided to do something else. We really enjoyed our aperitivo was great. The only thing that would keep us from staying there would be if we wanted to stay in the center of excitement.

I have seen there are no recent reviews so will update you on our visit. First off this is NOT a hotel and they do not have any services at all. They don't advertise that so it is what is says a B&B. Our room way extremely small even for europe rooms. The bathroon was the size of a telephone booth. The drain did not work at all and within 2 minutes the pan was filled and overflowing into the bathroom. You can not use the shower bascially. The air conditioning works but sounds like there are coins bashing around in it and can't really be used at all. No way to sleep in the room with that noise.. its not just a little noise it rattling really loudly. The person that run the place is only there from 2-6pm. He was very nice and helpful. If you need anything after that you are on your own. He said call him and he can come back. But hardly feels right calling a guy to run over to bring extra towels. While the location is excellent..... without a fan or air conditioning the outside noise it unbearable. Loud parties and people have fun below until at least 4:00am. I think I was dosing here and there as I heard about 30 people signing happy birthday at 3:30am. I know we had the smallest room but had I been there a second night I would have checked out a day early. This again is not a hotel I would say its a dorm room with a view.

No elevator, no elevator, no elevator! The important thing is said three times! If you want to climb a narrow staircase to the upstairs with a huge suitcase, you must choose this hotel! The shower room is terrible. The shower has a red, yellow and blue light, and the entire bathroom is colored. Service is general, active awareness is not strong! But a young girl at the breakfast bar was particularly enthusiastic. I had to miss the train that day. She packed it for me early, very good!

The hotel's location is in the heart of Florence, and is far from the main attractions of the core area, close to the Pitti Palace and the Old Bridge, is a region where the locals live more, compared to the main attractions area has a quiet alarm. This four room small lodging was perfect for our Florence visit. It’s located on the third level of a large building. The shower is small but workable. They don’t serve breakfast but our rate includes a voucher for a local restaurant for 7€ each per day of stay. We came to Florence after taking a 7-day river cruise, a perfect way to end our Europe holiday. The Santa Maria Novella is a great hotel that's close to everything. Easy walking distance to main attractions, 10+ good restaurants around the block alone. The room was spacious, great bathroom. Room service was excellent! This is somewhat of a rarity nowadays and we were very impressed. Tip: if you can, get a room that faces the piazza. Ours was interior-facing and our view was plumbing. The concierge was very helpful at all hours and the breakfast buffet is truly the best. I could have made that my main meal of the day! The train station is a convenient walk, and the bus too. Nice and pleasant family hotel close to everything. I have found this on the internet and booked directly at the hotel site. The price was completely acceptable and good price for the value. The hotel is 10-15 min walk to all the main tourist attractions. There are many good restaurants in the surrounding area. This is one of those very rare hotels where you get exactly what is promised on their website. The room was very clean and cleaned thoroughly every day. We could check-in a bit earlier (we came by bus as our flight was canceled, and were really tired after 14 hours traveling). The breakfast was delicious and wide variety, maybe some vegetables would be good to have more salty options for Europeans. I have missed only one thing, a socket in the bathroom, as I usually iron my hair and the socket connected to the hair dryer is for shavers only, so I could use the socket outside without mirror. It is a small thing, but I wanted to mention it. Despite of this I would be happy to come back, and recommend it, as it is a very nice hotel with polite and friendly stuff.

The location and facilities of this apartment are actually okay. Florence has been there many times. Compared with the hotels near the core area, it takes about 15 minutes to walk. The price of 4 people is still OK. But here we need to focus on complaining about Ctrip. This apartment belongs to a company that operates many homestay apartments in Florence. It uses contactless check-in. Now it is very common at home and abroad. However, using this check-in method requires complete communication in advance. Some need to register relevant information online in advance, and the homestay will inform the check-in guidelines. After the booking confirmation of Trip.com, I did not receive any email or telephone communication until the day of check-in. After contacting Trip.com customer service, they said that they could not contact the relevant agent. Let me leave the email and say that the agent will contact me. The contact number given on Trip.com is also problematic. After waiting for two hours without audio, I finally found the agency company belonging to this homestay online. After contacting by phone, I sent me an email for online registration and relevant check-in guidelines, which was done in 10 minutes. The staff of the homestay company said that they sent a lot of emails and there was no response. I don't comment on what went wrong. But since it is a contactless check-in method, Trip.com does not communicate in advance, no guidance information, and finally no news after looking for customer service. It can be said that there is no action. If there is no relevant experience, it can be imagined that the result is that the local people can't get in, the local contact number is wrong, and the embarrassing situation that can't be solved by Ctrip customer service.

We had an excellent stay at the Villa Belvedere. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. I would particularly like to thank Babu Singh who seemed to be there at all times. Always smiling, always helpful and extremely polite. All the staff were excellent. The room was spacious with an outstanding view over the terrace, the pool and Florence in the distance. We could even see the dome of the Duomo. Everywhere was very clean and the room was serviced well every day. On small piece of advice rather than criticism is dining. The hotel breakfast is excellent although no English style breakfast is available you can have bacon and eggs. The selection of a more continental style breakfast is excellent. The hotel staff are most apologetic and insist that they do not run a restaurant but provide snacks. The menu however is comparable with many restaurants and the food excellent. It is sufficient for a light evening meal, is inexpensive and with a good selection of starters, mains and deserts available plus of course some excellent wines. We didn't take advantage of the snacks on offer during the day so I cannot comment. There is always a however....There are a few good restaurants within a mile. The 'Trattoria da Ruggero' is excellent. I would recommend booking through the hotel reception. It is also the nearest. The walk back from all of them except 'In Fabbrica' is up a very steep hill. We didn't go to the Fabbrica as it is not open every day so best check. There is a slight shortcut down some steep, awkward and unlit steps with no handrail. We climbed it several time except when it was very wet. A taxi back costs over 10 Euro. So unless you have a car or find walking difficult it could be expensive. It is also advisable to book as the restaurants get full seemingly every day. The Pizzeria Antica Porta near the roundabout at the bottom of the hill will do their utmost to fit you in, is very friendly, good value and the food is excellent. The bar is small but stocks pretty much any drink you are likely to want and is available most of the day. I would definitely stay there again but with prior knowledge of the dining limitations would plan the day differently. We ate a larger meal at lunchtime and in the hotel restaurant in the evening. Except one day when I think the chef was unexpectedly off. I didn't check with reception as instructed and was disappointed. Not the fault of the hotel staff.

WE totally enjoyed our stay at Il Salotto. Allessandro made reservations for our dinners, looked up train schedules for us and answered all our questions. He even allowed us to enjoy a late checkout. We spent 11 nights here, and enjoyed everyone of them. Our room was large and overlooked Via Roma. Housekeeping was exceptional and the breakfast was fantastic! We have stayed in Florence numerous times, but this is where we will be staying all our future visits.

It was close to the square and was in a place where I didn't feel insecure even at night. There was a balcony, but I couldn't see much of the city from the balcony in my room.

The hotel is on the edge of a square, and you can directly see the square from the breakfast room on the second floor. The location of the hotel is not bad. The disadvantage is that there is no obvious location sign at the entrance of the hotel. It is difficult to find if you go there for the first time. It is in a small alley and then into a small corridor. turn up. The furnishings of the room are very simple, the TV seems to be a small monitor, the bed is relatively large, and the door of the cabinet is creaking, the overall is very simple or simple? For the sake of cheap prices, and these do not affect the housing, there are no other ideas. The room key is also very simple. An old western long key with a keyhole feels very insecure. The room is simply next to the front desk. Breakfast is relatively simple and there are not many varieties. I only eat eggs and croissants. The overall feeling is that this is an ordinary B&B-level hotel with a local style. It is also an experience to experience the living conditions of the locals.

On the south bank of the Arno River, it is quite convenient. It is not a problem to go in and out of a motorbike. The boss is very enthusiastic. The house is an old house, the floor is relatively thin, and the walk is not strong. It is still very comfortable to live.

Il Bargello is situated in an unbeatable location, close to everything in Florence. The service is very welcoming, and the rooms are in line with the price. The highlight is the abundant and varied breakfast, as well as the 24-hour coffee. The only downside is that we had a lot of luggage and there's no elevator, so we had to climb three long flights of stairs with all our belongings, but this seems to be a common issue in Italy. Interesting fact: in the room next door, there was a couple being very noisy while *********** all day, and it could be heard throughout the entire hotel, which was quite annoying.

Absolutely one of the best views of the city of Florence-day and night! An out of the way place that allows one to reach out/go to Florence while living out of the hustle/bustle of all the tourists. Take a walk down through the olive groves and then a cab back up the hill. A unique setting (think 13th and 15th century structures!) that is literally living in history yet is not pretentious/fancy. Breakfast on an open balcony overlooking the city is great way to start the day. All the people at T di B are super friendly and helpful!! (P.S. Roberto can direct you to some great pasta dishes at local restaurants in nearby Firenze,) Now, if you expect/need 5-star cradle to grave service, with bellhops to fulfill your every whim instantly, this is probably not the place for you. But if you are like my wife and I, and love something different/roads less traveled, this is the place for you! Would definitely stay there again!

We had such a lovely stay in this place. It is situated less than 10 minutes walk to S.M Novella train station and in the old city center, close to all the main attractions and sights. The place is located in an old building, the rooms were recently renovated, but in a classic way, extremely clean, with all the amenities included, very cosy and comfortable bed. Daniela is such a nice host, she provided very detailed all the steps for the self check-in as we arrived later, and we also received in the morning ‘a small kind of breakfast’, even though it was not included in our booking-just part of the house. :) Strongly recommend, will definitely book this place next time in Florence!

The hotel goes out to the train station for 7 minutes, and there is no need to worry about taking the train. The hotel is very clean, there are many types of breakfast, and the taste is good. The waiter helped to send the luggage to the room, thinking about whether to tip, and the waiter went out. The only downside is that there are no slippers! City tax is 4 euros/day, checkout is paid, you can pay in cash.

The lift doesn’t need a room card to get up to the room, and I read online that there’s someone tried to break into the room before. So when I checked in my room, I checked and there were really a lot of scratches on our door handles. can’t help to think that might be true. :(

I booked for this tramiche booking facility, on February 1 for the weekend from April 23 to 25. It was confirmed to me until yesterday when I received an email that my card is not valid and that the booking was cancelled. I call the structure and I am told that at the time of booking I had not added the card CVC and that they could not confirm it to me, which is strange because you always have to put all the card data to confirm a booking I doubt that the mistake was my, rather than a mistake was made only to get more than I would have paid when I booked in February, being a very demanding weekend. The e-mail response time was 24 hours but at the time of the booking a phone number was given to which a call could be made before cancelling the booking. The damage now 2 weeks after the departure is irreparable since I have already bought the train and museum tickets. Structure not recommended. Booking idem.

The location of the hotel is very good, about 10 minutes away from the railway station. The breakfast was good. The room is small and the bathroom space is okay. The dissatisfied place this time is that the facilities are a bit old, the bedside socket is very weird, and the connection is bad. The first time I encountered the converter, it didn't work. Fortunately, I gave a socket board to solve it, but sometimes the connection is still bad. The sound insulation is a bit poor, but acceptable. In addition, the entrance of the hotel has changed, the address entrance is closed, and the entrance is merged with another hotel, and it will be found after a while.
