So we check into Red Roof Inn Tucson at the Airport, the Superior King room with an office desk and king size bed. The young woman at the front desk was busy with her phone, and I could just damn-well wait until she’s done. Already, I’m having doubts. Get to the room, and the toilet doesn’t work. The plunger sitting next to it should have been a tip-off. I go to the office, and tell cupcake that the toilet in the room won’t flush. She actually asked me “What’s it doing?” I pointed out the part about won’t flush. So we switch rooms. I was told that there were no Superior King rooms left. Which, according to the website was a lie. The booking page said there were some left. We get moved to a Superior Double room but with two full size beds and a smaller desk. Fine? No. It’s not fine. Here’s the list of why: There’s no ‘do not disturb’ sign (we never have maid service), there’s no trash can of any kind, there’s no coffee maker (one of the things that denote a Superior Room), the fridge is unplugged (didn’t know that, warm left over chicken dinner), the microwave wasn’t plugged in, the clock wasn’t plugged in and the cord was in a wad on the bedside table, the light over the bed wasn’t plugged in, the plug strip next to the bed only half works (another Superior Room item), the room phone doesn't work, and the bedspreads on both beds has so many stains on it, including one that looks like blood, it’s holding enough DNA to keep a lab busy for a month. No way on Earth are we sleeping under or anywhere near that thing so I strip it off and toss it in a corner. I’m pretty sure it squirmed a little bit when it landed. Wanna guess what’s not on the bed? A blanket. It’s just a sheet. It’s a clean sheet and we don’t seem to have bedbugs so we’ve got that going for us… which is nice. We do travel with a fleece blanket so we at least had something. And we did get a Do Not Disturb sign after numerous calls to the desk. Today, when we got back to the room the do not disturb sign is gone, and 24 hours after being asked about the coffee pot, there still isn't one. And, the dude staying next to us is out on the walkway smoking…. In a 100% smoke free hotel. The designated smoking area is clearly too far for him to waddle. I considered calling the front desk, but the room phone doesn't work. And, she would have blown it off anyway---might have to put her phone down. So, we got to stay in a crap room. For both days. I coulda gone to Motel 6 and had a better room. So if you’re ever in Tucson, pass on the Red Roof Inn at the Airport. I’m going to pass on the Red Roof Inn no matter where I am.

Suites here are nice. We brought food from our stay in Tucson but no silverware. manger graciously gave us some off the breakfast bar. breakfast was good had a cinnamon waffle; outstanding. Don't know where these heat up over hard eggs have come from in the Choice Hotels system but they need to go away and just have scrambled eggs. They aren't bad but scrambled are better. This motel is being taken over by travelodge by wyndham. This being said many repairs need to be made. The pool was not heated as stated in their ad. Our first room we spent one night, then the hot water in the shower would not turn off. They changed our room. The new room had a small balcony with a very loose railing. Very dangerous, we could not use balcony. Television had menu keep popping up all through shows, no way to turn it off...rugs were old and worn and bathrooms seriously outdated. Their ad stated coffee in lobby. We asked each day, but grew tired of asking and looked forward to the end of our stay. Pretty in the lobby with gas fireplace and sitting area. Possibility to be nice place with updating and repairs of the rooms and grounds.

We stayed here for one night in March 2023 on a road trip. None of the budget hotels in Tucson seemed to have good trip advisor reviews so we simply chose the hotel in the most convenient location. Easy to find just off the interstate reception were friendly enough. Room - the same as thousands of motel rooms across America. Not fantastic - cigarette hole in the counterpain but to be honest for the price the room was ok. Wifi and TV worked fine. Breakfast was aactually ok. So - its a budget hotel - possibly not up to the Days inn branding - but its ok for the price. No massive dramas whatsoever.

This was the perfect end of my trip to Arizona for a 5 am flight the next morning out of Tuscon. Check-in staff were helpful and courteous. The hotel has a bar as well as a restaurant with a limited menu which just hit the spot. The bathroom was my dream bathroom. Due to a knee replacement that has not turned out as expected and both hips replaced, the walk in accessible shower with all the grab bars is what I would love to have in my house. And the mattress --- I would love to know the brand as it was nice and firm with no dips. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I were in the area.

I had a wonderful relaxing stay for a week in August when I stayed in Tucson while my son started as a freshman at the University of Arizona. The Inn is just a couple of blocks walk from the University in the Sam Hughes neighbourhood, which I felt very safe walking through by myself. The Inn is a true oasis in the desert, with a beautiful garden, sparkling swimming pool, a magnificent 3 course breakfast cooked by Dina every morning and spacious, immaculately clean bedrooms beautifully decorated with local Arizona crafts and furnishings. I stayed in the Casita room which had a separate lounge room and was separate from the main building so I felt like I had plenty of space to myself but could also chat with the other guests at breakfast. Dina made lovely banana muffins and there were snacks and plenty of bottled water we could enjoy during the day which I really appreciated. The inn felt like my own home in Tucson, with free wifi, a mini fridge, coffee machine, microwave, air conditioning and 2 TVs in my room and Dina was absolutely the best hostess. Not only was she an amazing cook but she gave me great tips on places to visit like Tombstone and the Desert Museum. I stayed at 2 other hotels in Tucson during my stay but neither came even slightly close to the Adobe Rose Inn. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Thank you so much to the Adobe Rose Inn and Dina for such a lovely stay.

I am a Platinum Elite member and stay often at Holiday Inn Express (HIE) locations because I know what I am getting each stay. Spent 2 nights Dec 30 - Jan 1 with my teenage daughter. The staff are some of the best I have interacted with in years at a hotel. Friendly and seem to care about the guest experience. Not just 1 or 2 but all of them. Easily ranks top 2 in staff at the properties I have stayed at. The hotel itself is essentially the same as all HIE locations. Rooms are the same across the properties with a 'local' feeling to the lobby and pool. The pool was open and lobby/breakfast area clean and comfortable. The room I was in could use an update but overall I would rate it average across all the properties I have stayed at. HIE offers the same hot breakfast everywhere but does have a rotating menu for some variety on multile night stays. Is is a 5 star meal...no but it will fill you up and keep you going until lunch. I had a small billing issue that I called IHG about when I got home. I tried handling it before departure but I left very early in the morning and the front desk gal couldn't figure out what went wrong. IHG indicated I would get a call from the hotel within 48 hours. Less than 30 minutes later the General Manager of the property called me and we had the issue sorted very quickly. The error was corrected the next day on my credit card statement. I would not hesistate to stay here again.

Price wasn’t bad. As a whole the hotel looks pretty good, lobby area was nice, employees were friendly. But first I booked a double Queen and they moved my family of 4 to a single king and gave me a rollaway. At first glance the room looked ok but upon closer look it was fairly dirty. Dead bugs in all the lights, stains on the bedding, dead bug smashed on the wall, markings and dirty on the walls. Doors have a sizeable gap at the bottom and walls are thin so you hear everything. And during the 3 nights we were here people were very loud and inconsiderate of other guests, slamming doors, running down the hallway. The rollaway was completely stained over most of the bed. Over all very meh stay.

The hotel is clean and the price is relatively cheap, but the breakfast is simple, mainly bread, omelettes, fruit, cakes, etc. Waffles, we won't do it ourselves. In addition, it is best not to live on the first floor. Their hotel is different from our domestic hotel. The first floor has doors in all directions, so guests can come and go at any time. Arranged for me 138 The room was right next to the door. One person who was out in the middle of the night woke up. It was difficult to fall asleep when I was on a business trip, and then I lost sleep all night. The hotel has a self-service laundry room, but don't wash the good clothes. Some of my shirts are not wrinkled. The hotel can pick up and drop off to the airport for free. The location is right next door and opposite the Hilton and Sheraton hotels. There is also a restaurant R+R Bar&Grill. It tastes good, but I don't have a single atmosphere. This hotel does not have a restaurant itself

We had the best time at Tanque Verde Ranch! The resort was laid-back but still beautiful/luxurious, the activities were a lot of fun, and most notably the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We traveled as a group of four families with young kids, and there were plenty of activities and experiences suitable for all ages and interests. The Cowboy Cookout, horseback lessons, kids club, and mountain biking on the attached trails were a few highlights. This is a place we plan to visit again.

I really enjoyed our stay here. It was very close to everything, and only minutes from the airport. Everyone was incredibly friendly. Very minor complaints. The bathroom has no fan. I HATE not having a fan in the bathroom. Technically there appears to be a fan there, it is just not operational. The other complaint is the bathroom door has a sharp handle on the inside of the door. There was plenty of parking. Thye hotel was nice and quiet, but the neighborhood was very loud at times.

Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Tucson Tech Park
4.5/560 Reviews

I work nights and got roped into an early morning cancer walk at the UA Tech Park across the street. Decided to get a room in the area the night before to ensure I would make it to the walk rather than just hit the snooze button at home. Was glad to find this hotel located right where I needed to be. It looks fairly new and is in an area that is not built up yet. I walked around the area after dark to get my daily steps and it was quite safe. There is a gas station and a Burger King just to the south which was very convenient and easy to walk to. The young man at the front desk was very nice and friendly. The room looked clean. The only drawback was it had automated blinds which did not work. Could not lower them. I inquired at the front desk thinking I was an ***** who didn't know how to work the technology. Nope. They knew about the issue. I was told the previous guest was able to hang a blanket over the curtain rod. Worked like a charm. One drawback is trying to go go north into town there are two train tracks. I got stuck waiting for two trains to go past and one just stopped completely and blocked the road. I have no idea how often this happens, but it is pretty annoying to have to go back to the freeway to get where you want to go. And that's if you're not blocked in by other cars waiting for the trains to pass. Just another reason why the proximity of the gas station and Burger King to the hotel was helpful. The shower worked great. They have large pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner and soap rather than tiny bottles. There a small refrigerator, but no microwave which seemed odd. My room was on the north end facing a Target warehouse. I was worried there would be a lot of traffic noise at night, but I heard nothing. I saw the exercise room and laundry room. Did not use them, but it was a plus that they were there. Even though I stayed on a Saturday, the hotel was pretty quiet. I slept very well. My only big complaint is that pets are allowed. While that may be a good thing for people who are too selfish to leave their pets at home, there are too many people who are allergic, don't want to be disturbed by barking at all hours and don't want to rent rooms covered in pet hair to not have pet free rooms.

Always a fan of the AC hotels, and this one definitely meets the mark. Located in downtown Tucson, short drive from the airport and 1 block away from nightlife, coffee, and restaurants. Hotel parking can be pricey, but luckily there are some decent street parking options around. The hotel is right next to a nightclub so you may hear noises til late night so beware if you value a quiet night's sleep. Lobby is well appointed, not huge but has a decent bar. Check-in was quick and easy, not much of a line. Elevators get you to your room quickly, not much of a wait. Not the tallest hotel but you have a decent view of downtown Tucson with large windows. Bed is nice and comfortable, rooms are large with plenty of outlets and luggage storage. Bathroom is large and comfortable and wifi works perfectly. Overall will try to stay again.

staff and overall environment were fine I don't normally do reviews of cookie cutter hotels because for the most part they are all the same. I do however have two issues with this particular hotel that needs to be discussed 1. considering the location (SW AZ), I was appalled at how long it took to get hot water from the shower. SHOCKED AND APPALLED I say. I'd turn it on full, sit down for my morning movement (sorry), and when done, there STILL wouldn't be hot water. It might have warmed a little, but I'd stand there for at least another minute or two before it was actually hot. Didn't really seem to matter what time of day I can't even imagine how many 1000's of gallons a day are wasted with all those guests waiting for water every morning. Horrifying 2. the AC unit is one of those wall mounted things and it blows directly on you when in bed. no louvres or anything to redirect the air flow up or down. Between the stress of flying, then the AC blowing on me all night, I woke up sick the next morning. Spent the entire trip sick. Thanks Hilton for being so cheap you couldn't get AC units with little plastic louvres Will never stay here again and will hesitate staying at any Hampton Inn at this point

I booked this place because I was joining friends, and it was close to where they're staying. It is ok, but I was disappointed by a few things. First, while they advertise a pool and spa, the pool is closed and the spa i.e. hot tub (which I can see from my room) looks gross (i.e. slimy-looking water.) Coming from Wisconsin, I was looking forward to an outdoor pool in early March. Other little, but annoying things: the safe doesn't work and I told the front desk. They said someone would come by and fix or replace it but that never happened. So I hid my laptop etc. under the mattress. Also, the supply of towels was very skimpy and my electronic key repeatedly didn't work, The sound-proofing isn't good: I had trouble sleeping because someone in a nearby room was snoring and footsteps from the hallway were very noticeable. Overall it was a disappointing stay. The breakfast was typical motel free breakfast, but was OK. Besides the usual fare, it had granola, juice, fresh fruit, and decent coffee. The staff were courteous and cordial. For the price, I expected more and wish I had booked another nearby place.

The rooms are nothing fancy but pretty standard. Overall seemed pretty clean. My reservation allowed me a food voucher to redeem downstairs at the food counter which is an a la carte pay situation. The hotel breakfast is not free which wasn’t great but the food was pretty good. No free coffee. There was a van parked outside that looked like a shuttle and I even saw it at the Tucson airport on my way in. The night before I was set to checkout and needed a ride to the airport, I called the front desk and they said that there is no shuttle to the airport. I mentioned the van out front and they just repeated that there is no shuttle and we’re very short with me. I’m not sure what went on there, but I am curious if they really did have an airport shuttle. I had to spend $$ on a Lyft to the airport which was pretty disappointing.

We liked the look of the outside and expected the inside to be nicer, especially being a Marriott. The room was spacious and clean, but the beds and pillows were very uncomfortable, leading to not much sleep. The TV was in a spot parallel to the bed making it hard to watch, and we had to rearrange the furniture in order to unfold the sleeper couch (which was completely unmade, and the bedding was stored in a bag in the closet). Seeing as how we paid $300 for the night I was expecting a whole lot more. I've stayed at hotels for less and received a lot more in the way of amenities, convenience and better service (there was no one at the front desk to check out in the morning and I had to walk around looking for an employee, who just told me to leave my key at the desk, and then proceeded to carry on with her conversations with the other employee). I will definitely not be staying here again unless it's the last room in the ENTIRE city of Tucson.

I moved into this Extended Stay hotel in January, expecting to be here less than a week. As it turned out, the room is just the right size for me and my stuff, and I'm still here for now. It's quiet, the TV has a decent number of channels, the a/c has kept me cool even on our hottest days (I do supplement the a/c with a 20” fan since I like it cool at night), the staff is always available and helpful, friendly. It has a full-sized kitchen with plenty of counter space and cabinets, a full-sized fridge, and they provide everything needed (dishes, silverware, etc.) for eating/cooking, although pretty much all I need is a microwave. There's plenty of hot water for showers, etc., the desk is a good size, large enough for my desktop computer, monitor, and misc. office supplies. I have enjoyed my stay here and will definitely consider Extended Stay for future trips.

Always a good sign when you stay at the same place a second time. We like to get the 2-bedroom suite (with loft) when we come to Tucson because it's a lot of space to spread out for the four of us. Full kitchen, two bathrooms, the works. Breakfast was included in a grab-and-go format. It had a fair amount of choices, though the egg burritos were inedible. Service was fine, and the room was clean. Barking dogs in an adjacent unit, but otherwise quiet. It was a little chilly in the room, and there was no easy way to raise the heat or find thick blankets. Overall, still a great place, and we would likely come back a third time.

Wonderful location near the airport. The room was very spacious and quite comfortable. The pool is heat year round and was very nice to have available. The on site restaurant breakfast buffet was decent enough for the price. Complimentary cookies upon check-in was also a nice touch. Locked myself out of the room and it was not a hassle to get back in. Also, grabbing sna KS from the self serve kiosk and billing them to the room before swimming was super convenient.

We have offered this feedback to corporate and property general management via email with no reply. Sadly, due to the issues that we experienced we probably won't be visiting again. Its a beautiful property but the staff and issues we experienced don't allow us to highly recommend. (+)At check-in my wife had a helpful and excellent experience with Jaime Ortiz. He took the time to help her get our family and our luggage to the room since I had not arrived yet. He is to be commended for his genuine attention and how truly eager he was to help. (-)My wife enjoyed cocktails from the Azul lounge and unfortunately received very aloof service from the female bartender with dark hair and glasses. I also experienced this same level of dissatisfactory service from this particular bartender on a separate occasion on Saturday. (-) Saturday morning our room was covered by black ants. My wife called the front desk and asked that housekeeping or maintenance please come to the room to address the issue. The issue was not taken care of until a few hours later while we were at the pool. (+) Saturday, we spent our breakfast at Azul and Tommy was our server. He was warm, friendly, and very helpful. He made recommendations for entrée selections and interacted with our children in a genuine way. (+) We spent Saturday late morning and early afternoon at the pool and Andrea helped us with our alcohol and food order. She was very sweet and checked on us as she saw us around at the different pools. (+) We booked our 2 children into the Kids Club from 5:50pm-7:50pm on Saturday. Hannah was efficient in the reservation and check in process. Our children detailed that they had fun. (+) We wanted to enjoy some tapas from Contigo while our kids were in the Kids Club but didn’t know how to get there. We went to the front desk and Andrianna actually came around the desk and walked us to the door to ensure we had correct directions. She was the 2nd employee, from Jaime (mentioned earlier) that went above and beyond to help my family. (+) At Contigo our experience was perfection, which we hadn’t experienced at La Paloma up to the point unfortunately. My wife made sure to ask for the manager, Jorge, and share that Erin O and our server Danny V were such great staff members throughout our meal! (-) We returned to our room to see that the ants were still prevalent now having gotten into all of my children’s snacks and a dozen cookies we had delivered to the hotel for our children as a Saturday night surprise. Ants were in my son’s shoes and our carryon bags. It was a mess and my wife had to spend some time on her staycation cleaning our room and hotel furniture, and throwing out so much food! (-) We went to breakfast again at Azul on Sunday morning and Michelle was our server. She forgot to fulfill some of our small requests and our drinks were not refilled in our meal. When she came to bring our bill she open mouthed coughed onto my son and his pancakes. This is appalling! She made n

The front desk “manager”, Sylvia, was extremely rude. I called to try to resolve an issue with my husband’s reservation since he was at work at the time, Sylvia answered and before I could finish explaining why I was calling she began talking over me and telling me that I was wrong about my husband’s reservation. I tried explaining, offering solutions, or just speaking in general, but she is just such a poorly trained and rude employee that she would not allow me to say more than a few words without speaking over me. The thought occurred to me that perhaps she couldn’t hear me very well and I started speaking more loudly and not stopping when she would interrupt me. That resulted in her claiming that I was yelling, screaming and insulting her. She declared that she was cancelling my husband’s reservation and wanted my people (because my brother in law that was there in the lobby doesn’t speak English…Hispanics…my people) out of HER hotel and then she hung up on me. I called back and asked if she hung up on me and she admitted that she did and that she was not going to tolerate being yelled and cursed at. I never yelled and I certainly never cursed. She just kept repeating herself and hung up again. My brother in law said that he spoke with her at length before I called and she was very rude to him as well and made comments with racist tones to him as well. I looked at the reviews just now before posting and was so shocked (or maybe I should have expected it) to see that many others had almost identical experiences to mine. How does she still work there? The manager Paul called me at one point after Wyndham customer service reached out to him, but I think he did so without realizing I was a customer and once he realized he disconnected and blocked my number (really weird). I’ve seen Paul’s cookie cutter responses on several of the bad reviews on here, so I’m not sure if anyone will take this complaint seriously. Bottom line: Sylvia is rude, argumentative, should never work in any form of customer service, called me “horrible” because I asked her to *please* allow me to speak, and she is probably racist. Knowing all this, management still allows her to work there. Beware.

Security is protective. Maintenance is on the ball and if something needs to be fixed they come and fix it right away. The ladies at the front desk are friendly and courteous and will help you with what we you need. If you need a quick cheap stay then this is it. If you want to stay longer then that can happen too but no it is not a extended stay, though for $280 will get you a weeks stay! It isn't the most fancy upper class it has caring and chill vibes.

Initially, we booked just one night to check the hotel out but ended up staying 5 nights!! We loved the accommodations. The suite-style room was great, the bed was very comfortable, and it was super quiet. Parts of the hotel are still being refurnished so the hallway carpeting is in need of replacement but our room was in good shape. The hot breakfast buffet is also very good with scrambled eggs, beans, potatoes, meat, & pancakes. The location was also great as we were close to the Huckleberry Loop & biked different sections of it everyday. What awesome network of trails!! There were only a couple of negatives, the room temperature was hard to control & there were limited TV channels available but that definitely wouldn’t stop us from staying here again! It was a great stay!
