The hotel is on the mountain with a great view. The room can open the door to a small yard which is very nice. There are monkeys, puppies, and various birds passing by. The bed was comfy. The view was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location is very close to downtown but up a hill so very very quiet. The food is good, EXCEPT the mutton biryani. Lovely view and soft, comfortable beds to sleep in for the night.
The single, only problem I had was the waiter at the restaurant kept asking me, “are you okay, is everything good?” literally every 2 minutes. After saying “yes, thank you” multiple times, he stands there and starts a conversation, and once, just stands there and looks at me. The only thing I want to do is eat my food in peace. Lastly, after the only thing he brought me was a cappuccino (as it was a buffet so I fetch my own food), I gave a 1000 lkr tip. He was visibly upset with this and his over-friendliness completely disappeared. I didn’t dare to go back to the restaurant after this. Food was good, however!FromNZD 122

Hotel Suisse carries a colonial charm that takes you back in time. The food is good, offering a fair range of choices. However, the dining experience was slightly marred by some worn napkins. The air conditioning in our room was a bit loud, but it didn't keep us from having a comfortable stay. It is a beautiful hotel with a beautiful view. However, walls are thin and you can heard a lot of noise. It is not easy to get there because it is located almost in the top of the mountain. Another good thing is that the restaurant closes at 10pm and food is good and cheap. We didn’t find the swimming pool since we stayed just one night. It was a nice stay by the way and breakfast was good.

The location and hospitality are the best!
I think the shower has hot water up to about 50°C.
There are international power outlets, one on each end of the bed.
There are no toothbrushes, but there is a refrigerator and hair dryer, so it's perfect.
The windows are a little dirty and whitish, and there is a unique smell, but you get used to both quickly.
However, be careful as the entrance is locked at 10pm. There is a call bell next to it, so you can press it and they will open it for you, but it depends on the time. Be careful about going out late at night.FromNZD 50

One of the most amazing properties i have stayed at. Both Bandhara and Madu, the butler and chef, were amazing. They were attentive, responsive and spot on..great work guys..very impressed.

The whole family traveled and booked a suite. The room was large and clean. The first alcohol and drinks in the minibar were free. Thumbs up. The hotel has a super beautiful view. It is a little far from the center of Kandy, but it is very quiet. The lobby is beautiful outside. The swimming pool is not heated and a little cold. Breakfast is a la carte system with many choices. But there are some places that must be complained. First of all, the suite has a jacuzzi, but it was not filled with water in advance. It was very dirty inside and the water was very slow. It took an hour to clean up. My waist was about to break. The water was filled for two and a half hours. It was dark when the water was enough. There were mosquitoes everywhere. It was not used at all. Bad review. The second point is their dinner, which starts at 7 o'clock. We were the first table to order at 6:50 on the first day. It was already 8 o'clock when the food was served. It is not friendly to travel with young children.
