We travelled as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children ages 7 and 4. We stayed the last week of the August UK school holidays. We chose this hotel as we are fans of the Melia chain. Whilst looking we found the hotel available as part of Jet2 holidays and this worked out the cheapest way for us to book. In summary we had a fantastic stay, and the hotel was everything you would expect of a 4-star hotel, just so good. For us though, the kids club staff (who also doubled up as part of the evening entertainment team some nights) were just so much fun, they were great with the kids but also just gave the hotel a generally good friendly vibe- top marks to them all. Now some other points in detail:- Pros - We were the first transfer drop off from the airport and it was a relatively short transfer time of approximately 40 minutes. - Hotel never felt overly busy despite it being August. There were busy spells during peak dining times but only short queues. At some points we had the pool to ourselves. Plenty of sun loungers and parasols available at all times. -the energy and enthusiasm of the Kids Club staff we found to be excellent. Although the activities are mainly in Spanish the staff tried hard to include our children by translating game instructions into English. There is a good programme of events for children - slime making, T-Shirt design, pool inflatables, mini disco etc. parents are able to stay with the children for a session or sign them in and out for the hour and a half. Should the management read this then perhaps they could include English clues in the pirate treasure hunt as this would also have helped to improve their experience at little cost. - the pool and evening entertainment team. My husband and I enjoyed the daily programme of exercises which had a great vibe. As a family we enjoyed the evening shows especially the Grand Circus which was Greatest Showman based and Mamma Mia. Con - Unfortunate first impressions. After an early start and a long day of travel to be greeted by a long queue at check in and only 2 staffed points was a disappointment. We waited for about 30 minutes and we were lucky enough to have joined the queue when it was fairly small. I feel this could have been easily resolved by a third member of staff ‘working the queue’, this person could explain the activity timetable and map of the resort which seemed to be adding to the length of time needed to check in. After our wait we were told that our room was not even ready and to wait for a call from check in or return at the check in time of 4pm. With children flailing we wearily returned to check in at 3:00 having had no call to be told we could check in so perhaps our call had been missed. I’m just glad we didn’t wait until 4pm! - if you are on half board it is worth noting that breakfast finishes at 10:30am and the evening meal isn’t until 8pm. There is an ice cream parlour open and a couple of other restaurants should you wish to pay for lunch. Full and halfFrom$212

This is a very beautiful hotel, the gardens and pool areas are truly spectacular, however….. There is minimal service at the pools, it is difficult to get a drink and impossible to get any food or snacks which is a great shame as they could capitalise on this. Instead you are charged for changing your pool towel during the day €2 I believe which is pointless and only makes the customer angry at the meanness of such an expensive hotel. The pools are not heated - even the heated pool doesn’t feel heated. Although there are many restaurants they are not open every day - usually only one or two are open so it’s not quite the choice it appears. The quality of the food is poor and greatly overpriced. At the Italian restaurant the food was very poor except for the Mille Fueille dessert which was incredible - the pastry and the presentation were stunning. The main restaurant at the weekends is so overcrowded, it’s impossible to even get a pot of coffee as there are not enough staff. The room itself was the lowest available and perfect with a small garden. There wasn’t any milk for a cup of tea which would improve the stay for me anyway. I would like to say that one particular chap at the adult pool (at the bottom right of the gardens) he worked so hard all day keeping the beds, parasols and towels in order, keeping his customers happy - he was very conscientious about his job and really should be recognised for this. He worked Saturday and Sunday until around 4pm (that was 02/10/22) I would go back because the grounds and hotel in general are a treat for the eye but I would eat out elsewhere unless the prices are greatly reduced. Don’t be put off but be aware of a few faults which could be easily mended.From$354

We stayed for a week, beds and pillows are comfortable, room was a bit too small ,same with wadrobe, not much room. Naima was cleaning our room and she is doing great job. Food was good , sometimes oversalted sometimes without any seasoning at all for exsample rice and soups were tasteless , depends of different chefs in kitchen. Nice pool area for kids. Adults pool is too small. We didn't use pools as we came to sea side so we preffer sea. Staff in hotel hardly speak english but polite and cherfull. Location is great, close to shops and 10 minuts walk to the beach. Not only turists area, mixed with local people and really really overcrowded streets in the evening.From$103

just got back from our third visit and another amazing family holiday, Once again the staff were amazing reception always happy to help, cleaners did an amazing job keeping everything spotless, dining room staff really friendly, bar staff Carlos, Jordi, Federico just to name a few and victor at the pool. Victor always made sure we had sunbeds and shade when we wanted. We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary and was delighted to receive a bottle of bubbly from the hotel to help us celebrate. The only real negative was we had to come home, Everyone in our group is already talking about next year so fingers crossed we will be back again.From$123

Hotel with beautiful south-facing rooms, very nice terrace with a view of the street and the swimming pool without a view of the sea. Impeccable cleanliness, pleasant and available staff except at the Spa.
The hotel could do with some updating, especially the bathrooms. Decor from 25 years ago but very well maintained.
Blah blah blah restaurant, canteen type. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. Lunch and evening meals go your way unless it is purely dietary. Value for money ok out of season. The hotel highlights services that only exist in high season.From$149

Let me tell you that you are the service of TRIP.COM. You have charged me the fee for closing the hotel reservation. I have received the confirmation from TRIP.COM via email, reservation number, room, etc. Of course, you also charge me I got there for work reasons. I was surprised that the hotel was closed during the pandemic. It’s not a coincidence. No, you seem to be unprofessional. I sent you an email condemning it. On this matter, you know what you told me is that there are a lot of emails in the queue. If you provide deceptive services and deceive me, I plan to condemn people who you don’t enter as soon as possible. This won’t surprise me. , Because this situation is not developing well, so I plan to publish it on all networks as soon as possible, and even plan to do so for a group of people who have the same experience as me.
In the photo, you can see my confirmation.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel because it was in quiet location and has free parking. It is literally 10 minutes car drive to Benidorm with all the hassle and bustle and silly hotel and parking prices. You could walk to the town in 20 to 30 minutes depending on your pace or you can catch a bus from the Bus Depot literally next door to the hotel - a taxi should not be too expensive either but we didn’t use it as we had our car. As others have remarked the hotel is in a quiet area and there are no shops in the immediate vicinity ( there used to be large shopping complex attached to the hotel but it has closed down leaving it looking deserted) but as already remarked it is not far from downtown Benidorm with all the bars and restaurants you might want! The hotel has a sauna and a gym but we didn’t have time to use either so can’t comment how good they are. The hotel room we were allocated was large ( 2 double beds) and clean. The only thing the room was simple but it met our needs - if you want luxurious interiors you need to look elsewhere - we would say the rooms would be on par to a Holiday Inn Express or Premier Inn but much larger with good cupboard space and large bathrooms. The only thing to say about our room was that it was right opposite the fire station and the 2 days we were there the fire engines set off with their sirens early in the morning (0700hrs) which woke us up so you might want to request a room that is not opposite the fire station in case they are called out on other calls early in the morning - we heard no sirens during the night so they must like in other parts of the world maintain silence during the night hours. Some people have complained about the mattress but we had no trouble and slept really well on the beds. Only thing to say is the mattresses in our room were memory foam so expect them to be hard if you are not used to it. The room was too warm for us but were thankful for the windows which could be opened which let in just the right amount of cool air to make it comfortable to sleep. The room has air con but like other hotels we have stayed in it is centrally controlled so in the winter it only pushes out hot air and you can’t adjust it to the cold setting to push out cool air. The breakfast is great value and we thought for the money was excellent. It caters for almost everyone - cold meats, fruit, yogurts, tea/coffee on tap, best toaster we have experienced in hotels which actually toasts your bread(!), selection of breads, mini croissants, selection of sweet pastries, selection of cereals, fried eggs, bacon, sausages ( 1st day of our stay we had pork sausages which were lovely but on our second day we had the Spanish red sausages which look like like hit dogs which weren’t to our taste but there was plenty of other stuff so no problems!), beans (but don’t expect Heinz beans in thick sauce - the tomato sauce was quite watery and runny but this is not unusual we have found in other hotels we haveFrom$47

I'll start with the good. First impressions; the hotel was very clean, quite modern and secure as you couldn't even use the reception toilets unless you had a room key. We had access to the pool and facilities straightaway even though our rooms weren't ready and you can hire a towel for a 10e deposit. The rooms were ready on time (3pm), clean & quite spacious. The shower was super powerful. The checkin was quick & easy with the polite & helpful staff. Venturing out into the world of Benidorm we quickly realised the hotel was perfectly located. Close enough but still quiet enough for a good night's sleep. The pool was a lovely temperature and there was always somewhere to sit or lie. Drinks in the bar reasonably priced too. On to the bad. The rooms keys kept having to be reset and the air-con in the room only just coped. Cleaner barely cleaned and little things like the tv remote not having batteries in and the shower, although powerful, was so low anyone over 5ft tall had to bend down to use it - slightly annoying but not a game-changer. What was really bad for us was the ummm level of hotel visitors... Most were ok but I can see why people complain and our weekend was almost completely ruined by a very angry Liverpool man who wanted to kill all southerners and threatened to slit our throats over Liz Truss being in charge. He only asked if we had a lighter and then went crazy. Clearly had issues. This was 5pm in the afternoon by the way. I would stay here again but avoid all other guests. Equally I would probably pay a bit more and hope for a 4 star hotel (and 4 star guests).SOLD OUT

We had a great time at this hotel though a few areas need improvement. First up our room was a superior on the corner (511) with a view of the pool and side street. We were very pleased with the large layout of the room and bathroom. No noise from the street. Very clean and fresh. Air con was great but the tvs were hard to operate and we kept losing channels lol ! On arrival we weren’t told about hiring pool towels or the WiFi password and came back down to sort that after dumping our cases. We hired a kettle cups and spoon but no tea, coffee offered so bought that locally. We paid for the safe and had a mini fridge in the room. Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. Now for the *******- the pool was not clean . Green mould round the edges and the water was murky every day. Didn’t stop me going in though as it was so hot at 33 degrees. It defo needs a good clean ! The music when played around the pool was nice and chilled but 1.5 days out of 3 it wasn’t on. Never a problem getting a sunbed and the pool bar was nice and reasonably priced. Lack of sun umbrellas but more appeared on day 3. Room issue - the shower flooded no matter how careful you were and water seeped out and under the door every time ! That seriously needs looked at as other guests mentioned the same problem when we were there. Breakfast had a great choice and 100 percent satisfied there. Dinner , 3 nights no one asked us if we wanted a drink . The dinner room was always quite smoky from cooking - a minor point. I liked the choice of food so all good and we were half board. The 7 seas pub was great , nice lighting at night and the lady who served us nightly was lovely and always remembered our drinks so 10 out of 10 to her. Location great - everything right next to us, beach bars and restaurants and shops. Check out was flat . Not asked if we had a nice time, no smiles and handed back our deposits. Would we return ? Yes if the price was right .From$174

|1.51km from city centerJust on our last day out of 5, if your thinking of booking here thinking your going to get quality don’t bother, this hotel is getting seriously shabby having stayed here before 10years ago it’s gone seriously downhill since! PROS: Friendly Staff Kettle in room CONS: Dated miserable rooms flakey headboards, bad lighting, horrendously over priced mini bar, cleaning standards are poor, the hairdryer broke and the maintenance guy fetched another that should have screwed to the wall just plugged it in and expected me to use it with the wall incasing stuck to the wire, I went out and bought one. Pool area seriously dirty, the ground is never washed, toilets never have soap and rarely have toilet roll, drinks at the bar way overpriced, €9 for a smoothie and Diet Coke. Breakfast is horrific the layout makes no sense everyone bumping into each other, condiments at the beginning so everyone’s backing up, food is cold, Bacon is slimy, queue for coffee machine takes the mick, the cups are so small it’s gone in two mouthfuls, never any melon or fresh tomatoes just tinned fruit, I went out and bought my own things to take down and just had the toast. We got bitten quite badly too in the day which was strange as we’ve never been bitten in Spain before, think it’s the grubbiness of the hotel there were loads of stale water puddles around the pool area. The gym is the very worst hotel gym I have used there are 2 bikes and 2 cross trainers none of them work, just there for show hardly any matching weights either and god knows the last time it was cleaned, it’s like the forgotten room. This hotel is in serious need of renovation, it should now way be given 4 star status a 3 and a poor 3 at that

|1.04km from city centerThis is a Warning about the times chosen to eat half board at Hotel Melina. We've just returned from a weeks stay based on half board. We chose to have Breakfast and Dinner instead of Breakfast and Lunch. Breakfast wasn't bad , very average for Spain but it was the food quality and selection on the Evening Dinner that let us down. The first meal on the Sunday seemed to be pretty good but then it went down hill. You could tell that some of the food was recycled dishes from Lunch, the soup was limited and not an attractive option. We were usually one of the first into the Dining room ( due to late and starving) which didn't open UNTIL 8pm. Not Good. It was only on the Thursday that we decided to have a sneak into the LUNCHTIME session to see what was served up on that sitting as against our Dinner Menu. We found a BIG difference in the Selection and quality on offer at Lunch. Things like Paella (my favourite) Corn on the Cob, Better items on offer including a big better choice of Soups and Quantity all which we never had on our Dinner Menu. We felt we had been mugged by the food on offer on our Evening Dinner dining menu. So our Warning is DON'T CHOOSE THE 8PM DINING you get a much better choice and selection on the LUNCHTIME menu. Plus 8pm is a bit too late to have to wait for your Evening dinner but its a very Spanishy traditional Hotel which probably accounts for the late situ. As far as the hotel itself is concerned, it was brilliant. Spotlessly clean, great staff, lovely room, quiet position, comfy beds, convenient location.

|1.28km from city centerWe stayed as a family of 4 in the ocas building for a week at the end of June. I was really worried after reading so many negative reviews before we came. I’m hoping this review will help other families find out the info I was looking for. The room had no balcony, which having 2 small children I don’t mind so much, but there was hardly anywhere to dry off the towels and swim stuff for the 4 of us and the room constantly smelt damp due to the wet clothes. Inflatables and toys are allowed in the ocas pool but not the pelicanos. Anytime you need to go to reception the queue takes forever, there is not enough members of staff on for the size of the hotel. Breakfast is fine but dinner is terrible. I’m not fussy and was hoping the bad reviews were from fussy eaters but they were spot on. It’s the same thing nearly every night and things were either under or over cooked. Make sure you get wristbands when you check in, we weren’t given any and I was refused to buy a bottle of water at the pool bar for my kids because I didn’t have a wristband on. No idea why they didn’t give us them at first, had to go through waiting in the reception queue again to get them. The hotel is very noise, doors are really heavy and make such a bang when people just let them shut. The best thing about the hotel is the entertainment team. They were all lovely young people and my kids enjoyed taking part in the activities. There was lots on day and night. That’s the only reason I have given it the 3 stars.

|1.48km from city centerFirstly, the location is great and value for money. Stayed for 5 nights in a suite with two bedrooms and one bathroom. The balcony was a good size. Per pictures expected bung beds and got an uncomfortable settee. The other beds were hard but paper thin walls with next door snoring and tv you could hear from next door. This hotel doesn’t cater for English, and we found the majority of the staff to be unhelpful and looked miserable. The bar staff were under pressure at nights and you struggled to get a drink. The day we left there was a very helpful lady on reception who organised a taxi for us. The food was ok, normal gripe that it’s not that warm but find that in Spain. They put on a Christmas Eve banquet which was very nice, maybe by charging more every day the food could be at that quantity. We found the entertainment wasn’t that great and it looked like the same two acts returned every week.

|0.92km from city centerWhere to start, We arrived late at night and very tired. Bad points: First off, you have a good 5 minute walk from the drop off point to the hotel entrance. This could be problem for some with the cobbles and uneven surfaces, especially with heavy luggage. There were 3 of us ladies sharing a room. The room we were given was absolutely tiny. Three beds had been squeezed into a tiny double room. So there was absolutely nowhere to stand in the room to get ready without getting in somebody else's way (good job we are good friends!) We were told the next day, when we asked if there were any larger rooms available, that the room was given to us, as we had booked through an Agency (On the Beach) and not direct. Made us feel a bit like 2nd class citizens. And the holiday was not cheap! The shower attachment was broken on arrival. (But promptly fixed once we notified the Reception.) Breakfast was ok, nothing special. Our tiny balcony (no room for chair or anything, more like a Juliette ) was dirty and had bird poo on it. It looked straight into somebody's kitchen and an alley below. So not a pleasant space at all. I am not sure how we missed it, probably as we had looked at lots of hotels, but there is no pool or Jacuzzi on the sun terrace. This was a major disappointment for us, but not the hotels fault. You had to pay to use the safe in the room. Reception staff not very welcoming or helpful (apart from one named Diana who we met on our last day). Good points: Fabulous location - right in the centre of the old town and close to the beach Comfortable beds Room was very clean (not balcony as mentioned above) Bathroom was a good size with a hot shower

Check in was quick and easy, door card situation is a tad confusing as it is a QR fob with directions on how to lock and unlock written on every door, was not sure if door was locked while in the room as when you pulled the door from inside it open regardless how many times you turned the lock. First impressions of the room were for a cheap price you can’t complain, it’s very dated but has everything you need. Beds were comfortable but very loud if you moved about. (room 309 made this issue slightly more amplified several times) The bathroom was quite dark only one light working in there, shower over bath with good water pressure and easily adjustable temperature. The bath was low so easy to get in and out of however no plug so you couldn’t have a bath if you wanted to. There is a small lift to all floors which is good, I was on the second floor the stairs were a quicker option for me personally but the lift ideal for PRM. There was some building work on one of the days in the restaurant which was quite loud but understandable it’s off season so can expect maintenance to be carried out. Staff were friendly, they will come help you with the door situation if you are confused. I stayed room only didn’t try any food or drinks at the hotel as there are plenty of restaurants and bars close by. Small balcony on the rooms at the front with 2 chairs no table or ash tray if you smoke. Plenty of storage and hangers there is a safe in the room. No fridge in room which would be the only room amenity I would add. Small tv on the wall I think only Spanish channels I didn’t really take time to watch it only had the radio on while getting ready. For what I paid (£25pn) I cannot complain about anything other than the noises from the room above but I’m pretty sure wherever you were in the hotel you would have been able to hear this. Ideal for a cheap last minute short break.

|1.05km from city centerOur reservation got changed to this hotel from Alameda for some reason. We were very disappointed because the location of alameda was why we picked it and Hotel Brasil is quite a way away. However it was a beautiful little hotel very clean with lovely helpful and welcoming staff. There was entertainment on every day with dancing. Food was lovely rooms perfect. The WIFI is the best I have known. Only problem for us was the location up quite a steep hill one of our party has mobility issues so we struggled up and down it everyday. However this is not the hotels fault and we would stay here again.

|3.58km from city centerWe have just returned from a four night stay in the village. We stayed in a 3 bed villa(more like chalet) with a small private pool. The kitchen was basic, no oven and a very temperamental hob. This was an issue as the only other option to eat on site was a grossly over priced buffet, 33 e for adults, 20e for kids. This did not include drinks. There was a snack bar minimarket in the village itself serving fast food/beer but no outdoor seating or atmosphere. The lady working here was lovely and needs a special mention. Car essential due to absolutely nothing to do at night and very limited eating options. This was a big negative as hubbie could not have a drink with his meal. Overall it was a pleasant enough stay but the lack of entertainment and limited food options really took from the holiday. If these issues could be addressed it would be a lovely place to stay, good location and nice pools but wouldn't return again at present rate of service.

Not only turists area, mixed with local people and really really overcrowded streets in the evening.

|1.05km from city centerArrived at the hotel to find it was closed, a local told us that we need to go to the sister hotel down the road to book in. There is no information telling us to go there, infact throughout the week we spent time explaining the process to other confused traveller's. The reception at the other hotel was unmanned and a note saying ring this number was displayed. When I rang the number the phone in front of me rang in the reception, nobody was present to book us in. We went with our bags to the beach for 4 hours until 16.00. The check-in was lengthy although I did this on line prior to my visit. The guests were numerous, all making the same complaint to the girl on the reception. There was a 50 euro deposit taken from my bank card, this was finally reimbursed 2 weeks after we left, I had to email the hotel 12 times to get it back. The rooms patio door lock, free internet access and hair dryer didn't work all week. There were no additional blankets supplied initially. The whole experience was stressful and unnecessary. I am sure similar complaints will follow this one. AVOID AVOID AVOID

|1.62km from city centerJust got back after 10 days at the gala placidia with my wife and 3 teenage kids (17,16,14) and one 12 year old. We aren't the type to nit pick at all so here is our opinion. The hotel rooms are basic but are spotlessly clean, we had 2 rooms with 3 people In each which consisted of 2 single beds and a full size camp bed which were all comfortable and served their purpose. The balconies all overlook the top pool (kid pool). The bathrooms are simple but yet again clean and functional with a hairdryer but they aren't the most powerful so if you normally use one I would advise taking your own, the bedrooms have air conditioning which is absolutely fantastic and a god send when it is mid 30s as it was last week. The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels daily of you leave them on the bathroom floor. The food at meal times is varied enough with fruit, cereal, full fry ups, omelettes for breakfast. The snack bar is open at 11am til 1pm them 5pm til 7pm where you can get toastys, hot dogs and burgers which are nice and I heard no complaints. Evening meals are varied and have different themes such as Italian, Mexican (they have a Mexican singer on who is great), Asian which is good. There is always plenty to go at even if kids are fussy... on a Friday night they have a massive bbq outside by the main pool which is fantastic...I have never seen so much food in my life and it was all lovely from chicken kebabs, tomato sausages, burgers, lots of salads and fish, then chocolate fountains and marshmallows for the kids... The main pool opens at 10am til 7pm, we never had a mad rush for sunbeds so dont expect to be charging for them because it doesn't happen there at all, we came down at 11 some days and still had sunbeds available which are in the sun nearly all day there as the pool isn't overlooked so if you like a bit if shade later on get a brolley which there are plenty of. The bar at the pool is open 10am til midnight. As all inclusive I can get as much as you want when you want, from cocktails, beers, coffee, ice lollies etc...the main barman is called Darryl and is a brilliant bloke, he wil go out of his way to make sure you have a good time and get what you want, he speaks 7 languages so if English isn't your 1st language he wil have you covered, he is a massive credit to this hotel as I'm sure you will agree if you go... Entertainment is ok varying from water polo, darts, killer pool, rifle shooting ate but is geared towards older kids and not younger so be aware of that. Evening entertainment is OK but is geared alot towards the Spanish holidaymaker we felt so we went out quite a few Evenings and went to tribute acts and bars etc. If you are going to aqualandia a family ticket of 4 is €110 and you catch the number one bus from the bottom of the road...bus tickets are €1.60 per person. We'll worth a visit but I would take your own food as its expensive inside. All in all we ahead a lovely time, met some great people and would definitely go back ag

|1.04km from city centerLet me tell you that you are the service of TRIP.COM.
Since the hotel has no problem, I gave the highest score. On the contrary, I have been chatting with them, very friendly.

|1.37km from city centerI staying in this hotel at the beginning of July for 4 nights. When we got dropped off at the hotel the coach dropped us off at a nearby supermarket. They told us that they couldn’t drive up to the hotel due to the road which was understandable as they would definitely not have fit up or down it. The only issue we had was that he had dropped us off at some steps(there was a lot) and we had two heavy suitcases and a child who was half asleep. This wasn’t ideal as we travelled with two elderly adults who struggled to carry the cases up the stairs. Although I must add there is a hill about 5 minute walk away from the hotel which we did use throughout our stay but it would of been nice if we got pointed to that direction when we got dropped off to save the hassle of the stairs. The hotel is quite big and I thought that it was Lovely, the pool area was nice and clean and for the price it was a decent size, it didn’t get very busy during the day even at the peak time for temperature. The rooms are a decent size and are relatively clean. We did have an issue when we arrived with one of our rooms as it had mould on the wall and ceiling, this did get resolved once we spoke to reception and they gave us a new room. However I cannot fault the service of the staff and the lovely environment of the hotel. We stayed bed and breakfast, the breakfast wasn’t the best and the variety was the same every day. There is plenty of shops and restaurants nearby which are a 5-10 minute walk away so we wasn’t too bothered about the catering as we could eat outside of the hotel. We stayed in the old town and I absolutely loved the price in the shops and restaurants as it was very cheap to eat out and buy gifts and other souvenirs, overall I would recommend this hotel to people as it was convenient due to the location and it is a cheap area. There are also local bus routes to various parts of Benidorm which was handy if you wanted to visit the new town.

|0.35km from city centerWe had a great time at this hotel though a few areas need improvement. Yes if the price was right .

|1.84km from city centerOverall Rating: 3/5 First Impressions (4/5): The hotel’s exterior is decent, but given its prime location directly opposite the renowned Benidorm Palace, I expected a bit more of a ”WOW” factor. Reception (5/5): Check-in was quick and easy, with very helpful reception staff who were knowledgeable about the local area. I appreciated the interactive touch screen available for checking local bus times and daily entertainment options. Rooms (3/5): The rooms are quite outdated, and the beds are very uncomfortable. A tip for future guests: use the sofa bed topper on the bed to avoid back pain—I learned this the hard way after a terrible first night. The bathroom was functional, but the shower often flooded the bathroom. While the mini-fridge was a nice touch, it was disappointing that no water was provided. The room also featured a small TV and a large balcony. Pool Area (3/5): The pool was okay, although I noticed it tasted like saltwater on some days and was overly chlorinated towards the end of my stay. Sunbeds were difficult to get out of, with some even being broken. Pool toys and inflatables were not allowed, though enforcement seemed inconsistent depending on who you were and what language you spoke. Bars (3/5): The bar system was a letdown. The card system made it inconvenient to get a drink—by the time you sat down to enjoy one, you’d need to queue up again for the next. There were no menus to see which drinks were available, and only one cocktail was offered per day. The staff seemed to favor Spanish-speaking guests, which left me waiting over 15 minutes at the bar while they chatted with friends. Food (3/5): The food was disappointing for an all-inclusive option. Most dishes were cold, overly salty, and greasy, with some odd choices for day-to-day meals. The kids' area had very limited options—just burgers, hotdogs, hash browns, and fish fingers. The desserts were not very exciting, and a major issue was the flies all over the food, which never seemed to be addressed. The waitstaff were rude, often ignoring us, and didn’t seem to want to be there. We frequently had to flag someone down just to get an extra drink. The snack bar food was cold and not worth the visit. Entertainment (3/5): The entertainment was very repetitive and unvaried throughout the week. Every night followed the same pattern: music at 8 PM, a kids' disco at 9 PM with the same music and dance routine, which became tiresome quickly. The evening entertainment was heavily focused on the Spanish-speaking guests, making it less enjoyable for others.

|2.15km from city centerStaff were generally helpful and friendly. Food was fine in that you could always find something nice to eat. The hotel could improve their food signage in this modern age especially when various dietary conditions exist. Liked the fact on our half board package, we could choose to have lunch or dinner each day. Many people have complained about the rigid times to eat depending on which floor you are on but reception ask which floor you would like when checking in so you can choose earlier or later meal times (odd floors eat earlier, even floors eat later). The two entertainments guys worked hard with various games/activities during the day and live music and dancing most evenings. Seems the Spanish love their latin line dancing and good luck to them. As many have stated, the biggest negative is the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. We were lucky that we didn't get disturbed often during the night but the two ladies in the room next to us always started talking at 7.30am and sounded like they were in the room with us. We were allocated a room (713) next to the lifts which worried us but to be honest, we never heard them! Overall, the hotel was good value for money.

Tea and coffee facilities in room. Cleaning was adequate. Towels changed daily if required. Bedding only changed weekly. Stayed all inclusive and the food was very good. AREA: 15/20 minute walk to ɓars/shopping. 25 minutes to the beach. In a quieter part of Benidorm. Overall a really enjoyable holiday Would I stay again? Yes

|0.82km from city centerI'll start with the good. Equally I would probably pay a bit more and hope for a 4 star hotel (and 4 star guests).
