Our trip to Langkawi was great because of the hotel. The lobby was so beautiful, and we were greeted with a welcome drink while waiting for check in. The room was huge, and the best part was it was facing the beach. Only downside was the floorboards were squeaky, and walls were quite thin but I didn’t mind some noise as the hotel could get quite eery at night. Buggy service was great too. We extended our stay at Ritz-Carlton Langkawi as we couldn’t get enough of it.
We always look forward to breakfast. We were greeted by Afa who made sure we get to be seated quickly despite the restaurant being so busy. Foods were amazingly delicious and they had almost everything we asked for. Izzat attended to us and was attentive to our needs. He keeps checking on us to make sure our foods arrived as ordered.

Even though it is an old hotel but they maintain it quite well and the rooms are upgraded and kept clean.. unfortunately our room's balcony has like a hive of insects which is never going away.. insects are flying around outside the glass door so we have to keep the glass door shut at all times to prevent the insects from flying into our room.. so we could not fully enjoy the balcony feature of the room but the view was ok.. loved that they also have a villa kids playroom which my daughter loved so much.. not too crowded and well maintained and clean.. my daughter visits the play room everyday during our stay. Best hotel we stayed in Langkawi.
Rooms are spacious, new and nicely decorated.
The rooftop is the highlight of the hotel, the views are breathtaking and the infinity pool is amazing.
However, wifi doesn't work well in the rooms and it is not available on the rooftop.
Also, we had dinner on the restaurant of the rooftop and it was absolutely terrible. We ate the food because we were very hungry but the beef burger was with horrible ”fake frozen meat” and the fries were bad and small quantity. We were expecting a nice meal on such a nice setting.From$32

The hotel maintenance is not so good, many things looks old. Cleanliness is bad where our bedsheet is full of sands, asked for change but still can found some, not sure why. Some unknown stains on blanket too. Location is great, near to Cenang beach where most tourists will be going there. Might be giving a second try if going Langkawi again due to the location, but actually there are more similar accomodation in the area, hope it can improve soon.From$36

You can also pack food to eat at balcony which is super relaxing and comfortable! Only thing is that the hotel is a little too old, but equipped with everything needed! This is the first time my family enjoys true butler service. Our level butlers are just like friends to us and went all out to make sure we are well taken care of. The room comes with 6 cups of coffee and tea daily, 24hrs round the clock just a O button away. There wasn't ironing facilities in room because we didn't have to do it ourselves but rather send our garment for pressing - again, courtesy of our level butler.

first of all, the services are totally first class from the receptionists, the buggy service and the room cleaners. couldn't say much about its facilities as its under extensive renovation hence pool, restaurant n gym are all closed. we have to make do with a temporary dining area inside a hall n the usage of a pool in a 3 stars run down hotel. food is average but no complaint. the villa itself is huge, clean and very comfortable.
the down side: it's located in a sea front but one couldn't swim as it's surrounded by mud like quicksand meaning you couldn't even walk on it. location is a bit far out from the popular pantai cenang.
overall it's a wonderful villa worthy of my return.From$73

Staff extremely helpful always willing to help, and the breakfast was extremely good rooms are kept very clean with little extras which you would not normally get eg. Toothbrush & toothpaste all the things you need in your bathroom plus also fresh bottle water every day. When going into town quite far out so you do need a taxi and staff are always willing to call for you.

|10.21km from city centerIf you have a chance to stay here you should. I've stayed at quite a few lower priced hotels but this one by far has been the best experience. Check in was easy and friendly, they do require a 100 ringit deposit but that is normal. Room is spaciousand ac works well. Shower heater was broken and they sent a guy up right away and replaced the whole unit no problem. The pool is nice and clean. We needed a power adapter for our phones and the front desk let us borrow one free of charge. You are a short walk to the beach and nightlife. Breakfast and lunch next door is good and you get a 10%discount for being a hotel guest. All rooms have balconies.
Cons: Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper because you are near the road that has noisy motorbikes ride by at night.

But if you are looking for something at a low price and want to be outside through out the day at the beach and just come back to sleep at night, you can go for it. The bike/scooter rental which is in-house will give you a cheaper deal than the ones in the main street.

Relaxing, clean, beautiful and peaceful place, provided if the visitors are following the house rules ie: loud noise, speakers, party drinks, food & beverages at the pool. We did found a beer bottle cap in the adult pool, meaning there is/are visitors who didn't care about the house rules, who should stay somewhere else. We stayed 3D2N in a superior triple room. Room & bathroom are clean. Complete with toiletries, towels, kettle, coffee, cups, hairdryer, tv, mini fridge. In the exterior; swings and pondoks with hammock in each of them. Clean, good-sized pools for adult and kids (with floats and balls for them to play). Had a chance to meet with its kind and friendly owner and housekeeper. This is so much more than a 2-star resort could offer.

Stumbled across this gem when I was looking for a work-holiday stay that's walking distance to beaches but far enough from crowds. What I experienced was pleasantly beyond my expectation. Peter and Su greeted us personally at check-in. Very hospitable and jovial couple who are always willing to share tips and stories. Their staff emulates their hospitality in every way, from the breakfast to cleaning crew, and speaks highly of them.
As kak Siti took us to the room, I noticed that the compound is very neatly kept with ample greenery, fish ponds and some cats. I’m usually weary of cats due to allergies, but these cute pets I had no problem with. In fact, I looked forward to seeing them when I’m in the compound in the day (kept in a kennel at night). They’re very clean, cheeky and entertaining, and don’t invade your space. No incessant meowing either. The villas are nicely spaced for two. On one side of the studio space you’ll find a living room, working and dining areas, small kitchen with basic amenities. On the other side, super soft and comfortable queen bed and pillows that you’ll just love sinking into after a long day, split shower and toilet, all the essentials you need. Fast WiFi speed as well, but you may need to step out of the room for better connection. A simple buffet breakfast is served every morning with selection of breads, side salad, muesli, coffee, tea, eggs, fruits and the occasional nasi lemak. Just nice to fuel up for a walk or beach day. One thing to note is exceptions are made on Fridays to have breakfast served in the room. A tray of yogurt, milk, muesli, bread (toaster is provided in the room), butter and jam is given. But you can also make a request if you’d like something extra and they’ll be more than happy to accommodate. Was really looking forward to extending another night, which Peter did for me very quickly upon request, unfortunately last minute plans took hold. So sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for taking the time to do this! One thing for sure is I know I’ll be back to stay the next time I visit Langkawi. See you all again soon! |10.61km from city centerThe hotel is located at the end of Cenang Beach. Although it is not on the main road, it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the beach. It is very quiet. Most of the people staying in are foreigners. The hotels are townhouses with small tables and chairs outside. The hotel’s own swimming pool is very clean and suitable for children to play. Wake up in the morning, the child accidentally discovered the little squirrel on the coconut tree. He was very excited. The only drawback is that the hotel does not provide breakfast, and there is no shop nearby for breakfast. The hotel is within a 5-minute walk of the famous Zhuofeng Seafood, Zhonghua Tower, and Zhenlang Ice Cream. There is a big life supermarket next to the Zhonghua Tower, where you can buy bread and instant noodles. In short, we highly recommend this hotel, it is quiet and private, and there are few people in Cenang Beach at this end, the sunset is so beautiful!

Please be kind to the team members that you encounter during your stay! 🙏🏻 Due to disappearance of income for months, the hotel you are staying in probably cannot afford to bring many team members back from furlough. If you are asked to wait in the bar, with a complimentary drink when you arrive at the hotel because your room is not quite ready. Sit patiently in the bar, and please be assured the team are working as quickly as they can. Imagine if you had to clean 20+ bedrooms yourself and think how long it would take you and how you would be feeling after room number 10! 😩 Don’t be surprised if the receptionist, waiter, housekeeper that you come across, does not actually have that role in their job title. With limited staffing, the hotel becomes 1 team! So if the waiter isn’t familiar with what beers are on offer and has to check, don't sigh and roll your eyes! Say thank you...they are probably the HR Manager! 🙋🏼♀️ Your room may not be cleaned everyday, as they have a duty to protect the team and as you should all well know, the virus can survive on surfaces and in the air. So why would they want to send our team into a dangerous environment just so you can have your bed sheets tucked in! They can of course offer you a top up of any guest supplies! In fact, you can have as many tea bags and loo rolls as you like!!! And yes, you have single use cups in your room, because no, they don’t have time to run 400+ cups and mugs through the dishwasher on a daily basis. 🤔🤔😫😒 When you decide to dine in the hotel, the menu may be limited. Please consider that there is likely to only be 1 chef in the kitchen, on his own, running the whole operation...yes that includes washing up too! They are grateful you chose to dine with them, but please be considerate and don’t complain because there isn’t enough options on the menu and you wanted steak! 🥗🥣🌮🥪🍲🥘🌭 I am sure the rate you are paying for your room may be a considerable amount of money to you. But, be rest assured they are considerably cheaper than what you would usually pay. So please do not ask for a discount because the leisure facilities are closed. As above, the industry is already struggling for income without having to process refunds because you weren't impressed with sausage you had at breakfast because it tasted too piggy! 🐷👏🏻👏🏻 And lastly, it is highly likely the hotel is going through a redundancy and restructure process right now. It is a very sad time for the hospitality industry. So please be kind, it is a very stressful and upsetting time for the team. They work very hard and very long hours to ensure that you have a relaxing break! I could go on but I am sure you get the gist by now! |10.21km from city centerWe arrived early at the hotel and the weather was awful (raining).We we’re extremely tired and we had to wait for the rain to finish in order to be able to go out for a walk. The staff at the reception were excellent.I have been travelling a lot and I have been using Mercure often but I have never met such an amazing and professional customer service.The check in time was at 15:00 and the asked to wait in the lobby, they offered us a coffee and they managed to check us in at 11:00! Always with a great smile in their face.Ziela and Djarhul (apologies if I do not pronounce it correctly) and also the gentleman at the reception who brought our luggage in the room were so nice.Congatulations to Accor hotels (Mercure) for their excellent staff. The above employees made us feel very special and I would like to thank them For their support and help.Really 5 stars customer service

|10.37km from city centerStayed here for one night for transit. When the taxi dropped us off, we weren't sure this is the building because it looked so old and seems to be under construction. The lobby was dark and musky, as were the corridors. From outside, it looks like an abandoned building. I didn't feel very safe in the building. The room was old and dated. The furnishing seems to be from the 90s. While the room was big and spacious, the aircon only cooled down half the room and the other half was felt warm and stuff. The bedsheet was stained and spotted and we found some hair as well. For some weird reason, the windows are tinted so even though we had a good view of the street below, it was still very dark in the room. There are definitely other better and newer hotels / rooms on Cenang beach.

|9.69km from city centerMy daughter and I spent 5 blissful nights at this beautiful hotel, it is one of the most wonderful places I have ever stayed in. I normally go for lower budget options but as a special treat, we decided to book here, and we counted our blessings every day that we had. The buildings are all stunning and so unique, The staff were all so lovely, Rena, who served my coffee every morning automatically was so sweet, friendly and helpful, everyone was. The grounds staff take such great care of their gorgeous lawned, shady gardens and pools. The breakfasts were fabulous and we had some dinners and lunches here too, also wonderful esp as we are both vegetarians- it was nice to get some Malay veggie food, as well as Western options too. There are lovely cats too and we even had one adopt us for the 5 days which made it even more homely there. There are a few bikes you can use and cycle around the local area which is fun, they also have a games room as well as the gorgeous pools. There's a lovely short walk to a great sunset point nearby, at the sea by Tapaz, where you can view magnificent sunsets too. I would highly recommend you to treat yourself to a few days at Temple Tree if you are visiting Langkawi, for us, you cannot top this one! Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcomed and cared for, we would def come back and will highly recommend to others! We felt so lucky to stay with you.

Once you enter and complete the registration, juice or beer will be attached for use. The front desk can also help arrange car rental for 80 RM a day. The surrounding environment is pretty good. There are many cats around the room. Be careful when you open the door and rush into the room. There is also an outdoor swimming pool to relax and play. It is not far from Cenang Beach. The TV in the room has no channels to watch, but it will help to put breakfast In the refrigerator, there are juice, bread, yogurt, milk and fruits, which are pretty good. Only 13 RM tax per night will be charged at the scene, which is unexpected!

Our five-point flight to Langkawi Airport, driving out after Zhenzhen Looking for an hour in South Beach, I didn't find it. I finally asked a lot of local Chinese. I called and checked the map. I finally found the hotel at nine o'clock in the evening. General environment, breakfast in general, come to Langkawi holiday travel, or forget it! The boss is a young Malay who can only communicate in simple English, but people are very enthusiastic!

|10.38km from city centerThis is my experience in Mali best langkawi recently which they think the whole organization is running on a Hilton or a Marriot procedure...to all holiday makers to Mali Best resort langkawi...plz never ever ever stay in this low ranking non educated staffing hotel...they dont even have the heart of hospitality or a humane heart of understanding a guest who has even stayed and gave business for 4 days...i m with five kids and senior citizen and they do not have the heart to accommodate my pick arrives at 2 pm as my ferry leave the jetty at 3 pm...the hotel is not full and there is so much of rooms available...i will put this to all holiday makers online so that the management will know whats hospitality about...why i say hilton or marriot or even any other 5 star hotel or resort is better cause i m sure they have the heart of hospitality and well educated staffing rather then have baked nasi lemak brains people working on the fronline of a hotel...no wonder they are fit for that kind of pay and life...please malaysians if u want hospitality this is not the place...and to managment of mali best...i want an written explanation for your not worthy hospitality god for shakan service... And it so happen i requested for an extra pillow and like normal i did not get it and knowing the hotel occupancy is extremely low.. and at that time it so happen i was standing at the corridor of room 119 and i heart the room service attendant complaining that a room guest is so troublesome because of requesting an iron to the room and he put on and sour face and walked away...on another disaster the swimming has got no life guards and children are to be swimming alone dangerously...there is a kids slide at the pool area but there is no water sliding out from it and when i checked with a pool attendant who just sitting around and playing with his phone he said to open the water i will need to find a person who is wearing a green shirt as he will open the main water point...come on are you serious...is this a resort or a goreng pisang shop...its a disgrace to hospitality...

Location is strategic, there is a mini mart nearby. 6 minutes to jetty point by car, it takes around 20 minutes if you walk to jetty point. Room is not too small, it is clean. You can hear some noise from outside but it doesn't disturb us. Two towels were provided. No hair dryer is provided. The only cons is the lamp is not bright although we switch on all lights. Other than this, overall is suitable if you are looking for a budget hotel. Bear in mind, Geopark Inn is in the Kuah, there is another Geopark hotel located in Oriental Village.

Facilities - barefoot. It's stiff to use barefoot to the wet toilet. The shower feels like doing in the yard and sometimes frogs run around. The towels are stated as free and the amount is 5RM. The bed puts a mattress on the tree on the freight stand. The outlet does not enter 1 220 volts and the staff should touch it. Ambient - It seems to be pursuing a service and system similar to a European hostel, but the facilities are too outdated and messy.The location is not good.The staff should be educated more. Breakfast is self toast and jam. There was a program that seemed to be a music performance by the staff and several people in the public space in the evening, but it was a level of drinking and crowding. The singing, the staff and some people kept drinking. I put a beer in a plastic bag in a shared refrigerator, and I was drinking, and in a while someone took it out and ate half of it. When I told the drinkers, the drunk staff said they would buy it tomorrow. If they don't, one of them says they give it for money. And they bought beer because they didn't. No one knows, no mistakes, no one says sorry. It's like a place where people without manners stay. The price is cheap for one person, but if you are looking for a hostel alone or shining.There are enough good places at similar prices to the beach
