I have always loved the calming and relaxed atmosphere and also all the 'always smiling' staffs here from the hotel front desk reception, buggy drivers, F&B staffs, restaurant waiter n waitresses, housekeeping staffs, security....Spa masseuses too
Special gratitude and thanks to Yuvaraj (Front desk Manager) who has always been such a blessing even on my previous visit here last year in April and the most recent one on 10-12 Jan
He is polite, humble, cheerful, helpful n so on....very pleasant guy who is there to reach out to us whenever he's on duty
He made our stay a very peaceful and enjoyable one too
Nature walk is another attraction and always delightful to walk thru the vast forest .... weather was ideal and an hour tour is priceless....thanks to the guide who explained so much about wildlife in detail
Berjaya Resort is always close to my heart and certainly I'll come back again sometime end of this year

The hotel is very nice, and we enjoyed our stay. There are two restaurants: one on the beach, offering more Western-style cuisine and alcohol, and another near the lobby that is more Asian and Muslim-friendly. For the beach restaurant, you need to book a table if you want to eat outside during the weekend. The breakfast was very good.
There is an amazing kids' room with all sorts of toys where the children can safely play. Just next to it, there is a small zoo with many animals. We had a ground-floor room by the pool, which was very convenient as you can go for a swim anytime, walking out from your balcony. The bar inside the pool was nice, and the prices were reasonable.
One complaint is that the check-in was very long, taking a bit more than an hour even though we arrived after 3 pm.From$179

Our second time stay at Holiday Villa. Kids loved the pool, Garden View Room was 2 minutes walk to the beach/pool.
Tips: check on their official website, 50% off normal rate for senior citizens. Would try it next time for an upgraded room.
Plus-point: Kids-friendly hotel as they have Villakidz (kids playroom) & giant-sized chess to play for free.
Notice that they hired Malaysians from housekeeping to concierge.

Great holiday with my family. My 3 year old loved the kids pool and the kids corner. My husband loved the outdoor balcony and the kitchen area. The room is spacious and clean. The hotel is located distanced from tourist hot spot, it takes about 25 mins to go any where e.g. Pantai Cenang, cable car, airport. The breakfast selection is good and have many choices. Here is my 2cents comment based on my experience as a traveler with young kids:
Cleanliness - wash basin in the bathroom still got wiping cream as if its not cleaned with water. Toilet bowl also not as clean as it should be for a 4/5star hotel.

Service - staff are very friendly and helpful especially at the reception and restaurant
Amneties - the restroom near the reception is not clean. The hallway deco to the room is outdated. The deco in the room is super white and blank. I don't feel cozy at all. My husband and I spent 4D3N at this Sunset Villa to celebrate our birthday month and it was not enough! Butler service was excellent. The room was very spacious for the 2 of us, clean and the view from the room was phenomenal.
Breakfast choices were great, although some dishes tasted good while some were a miss but we enjoyed it, nonetheless. What we ordered for in-room dining was great too!
The only thing which was a bummer was that there was something wrong with the toilet flush and it occured during the last 2 days of our stay. However, they came to get it rectified as soon as I reported it. Although the flush gave us problems again on the last day, I would still like to compliment on their prompt and professional service on attempting to get it fixed.
All the staff there were friendly from the butlers, the buggy drivers to the F&B staff. We enjoyed our stay so much that we are already planning to book a stay there again for our anniversary this October!From$418

Large rooms with a huge private beach! The sunsets are stunning!
The service was great, although the rooms are a little dated. The only small fault would be the water pressure in the bathroom. The shower’s pressure fluctuates and is generally very weak. After informing the front desk they sent and engineer to the room, which they temporarily fixed, but after about 5 minutes, the pressure went down again.
On a side note, they had a spa BOGOF deal, however they only had one masseuse, and you had to book them at least a day before. So even if you want a couples massage, it was not able to be accommodated.From$172

But if you are looking for something at a low price and want to be outside through out the day at the beach and just come back to sleep at night, you can go for it. The bike/scooter rental which is in-house will give you a cheaper deal than the ones in the main street.

The hotelier, Peter (& wife, Sue) with his more than 30 years in the hospitality industry is very hands on and goes out of his usual way to please the guests. When we had problem with the Astro reception, not only he replaced the decoder box and a new TV set (of 42”!), he even opened the villa next door as our “TV Room” which we can even sleep there so that we can catch our midnight movie. The meals/b’fast was generous and served twice, one in the evening with mini cereal/muesli boxes, fruit basket, yogurt, box drink & bread slices. In the morning another round of nasi lemak and 4 bottles of mineral water (not RO!) every day. Sue even presented us with her hand made cookies by the time we checked out after our 2 days stay. We had 1 of the best experience staying in such a nice place and would highly recommend to others.

Most of the people staying in are foreigners. The hotels are townhouses with small tables and chairs outside. The hotel’s own swimming pool is very clean and suitable for children to play. Wake up in the morning, the child accidentally discovered the little squirrel on the coconut tree. He was very excited. The only drawback is that the hotel does not provide breakfast, and there is no shop nearby for breakfast. The hotel is within a 5-minute walk of the famous Zhuofeng Seafood, Zhonghua Tower, and Zhenlang Ice Cream. There is a big life supermarket next to the Zhonghua Tower, where you can buy bread and instant noodles. In short, we highly recommend this hotel, it is quiet and private, and there are few people in Cenang Beach at this end, the sunset is so beautiful!

|10.38km from city centerWhite Lodge Chalet is an underrrated gem smack in the middle of the popular beach area. We got a really good rate on an OTA, and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived of the great deal it turned out to be. Our room was fairly spacious and there is an inviting pool in the middle of the lovely compound. There is a hot and cold drinking water dispenser, and our room had a fridge, kettle, tv and coffee/tea. The location is another big draw. It’s in the middle of the key beach stretch, smacked between Cenang and Tenang beaches so both are within easy stroll. Within 5min stroll you are at the Aquarium and behind that, the start of Cenang beach, and we never found a need to drive. Plenty of good eateries and supermarkets are nearby as well that operate late into the night. There is a good roti canai store for breakfast a mere 2min’s walk away, and McDonald’s less than 5min away. The folk running the motel are also friendly and helpful. When we asked to add a bed, the attention was immediate and the staff even refused a tip! We also booked our island hopping tour through them and the prices were reasonable. They also service the room daily although they did not replenish our coffee/tea and water. There are a couple of things we found lacking however. One is that the wifi is pretty unreliable. Sometimes it cannot access certain websites, other times it’s disconnected to internet altogether. A tourist SIM card is really cheap in Malaysia however. Another is that the doors were not well aligned, so opening and closing takes some brute force and creates a fair bit of noise at night. We read some complain about the shower being above the toilet, which isn’t really the case (though they are near). The shower position never bothered us. The new hotel extension is already completed (so no more issues with construction noise and dust) although it’s not yet open. Overall there is really little reason not to like this place. We got a good bang for the buck, and everyone including the kids enjoyed the 3-day stay. Highly recommended for those who don’t want to burn a hole in their wallet.

The staff at the reception were excellent.I have been travelling a lot and I have been using Mercure often but I have never met such an amazing and professional customer service.The check in time was at 15:00 and the asked to wait in the lobby, they offered us a coffee and they managed to check us in at 11:00! The front desk is very warm. There is no problem with Chinese communication throughout the whole process. It is a little farther from the pier in Gua Town (but this taxi is very convenient)

The lobby was dark and musky, as were the corridors. From outside, it looks like an abandoned building. I didn't feel very safe in the building. The room was old and dated. The furnishing seems to be from the 90s. While the room was big and spacious, the aircon only cooled down half the room and the other half was felt warm and stuff. The bedsheet was stained and spotted and we found some hair as well. For some weird reason, the windows are tinted so even though we had a good view of the street below, it was still very dark in the room. There are definitely other better and newer hotels / rooms on Cenang beach.

Our deluxe room near the saltwater pool had a beautiful view, was very comfortable and clean, and everything worked well. The grounds and pool were impeccably kept. Equally impressive was the staff. So welcoming and friendly! Under careful supervision, a group of intern college students preparing to work in the hospitality sector provided excellent service - an important post-Covid epidemic training experience. When we had issues with our airline tickets, Caroline (a supervisor) came to our rescue by patiently helping with our communication needs. Thank you Caroline!! We'd definitely recommend this resort to any of our friends.

Cleanliness - wash basin in the bathroom still got wiping cream as if its not cleaned with water. Toilet bowl also not as clean as it should be for a 4/5star hotel.
Location - by the beach
Service - staff are very friendly and helpful especially at the reception and restaurant
Amneties - the restroom near the reception is not clean. The hallway deco to the room is outdated. The deco in the room is super white and blank. I don't feel cozy at all. The breakfast menu is limited and please serve the butter and spread in mini portions instead of asking us to dig in a deep bottle.

|10.4km from city centerinitially thought that the hotel we booked was a mistake coz there was no car park and the lobby wasn’t impressive. but once we checked in, we were pleasantly surprised that the family room (2 king size beds) was spacious, clean and cold.
we only realized that you can ask the reception to provide complimentary car park service at the sister property which was only 200m away from this hotel.
We loved the location of the hotel as it is very convenient to malls/ shop lots/ restaurants and of course the beautiful beach!

Everything inside the room is clean. Tv channel have astro. Malibest is well known for its location, in the middle busy street Chenang and its hospitality and well clean room! So far it meet my expectation. Just one thing, the hotel parking too limited. Overall, this place will be my favourite place to stay in langkawi sith affordable price.

Location is strategic, there is a mini mart nearby. 6 minutes to jetty point by car, it takes around 20 minutes if you walk to jetty point. Room is not too small, it is clean. You can hear some noise from outside but it doesn't disturb us. Two towels were provided. No hair dryer is provided. The only cons is the lamp is not bright although we switch on all lights. Other than this, overall is suitable if you are looking for a budget hotel. Bear in mind, Geopark Inn is in the Kuah, there is another Geopark hotel located in Oriental Village.

|9.98km from city centerLocation - You have to stop by about 600 meters from the main street to the dark road. It's a little more than 1 km to Chenan Beach.No supermarkets, restaurants around. Facilities - barefoot. It's stiff to use barefoot to the wet toilet. The shower feels like doing in the yard and sometimes frogs run around. The towels are stated as free and the amount is 5RM. The bed puts a mattress on the tree on the freight stand. The outlet does not enter 1 220 volts and the staff should touch it. Ambient - It seems to be pursuing a service and system similar to a European hostel, but the facilities are too outdated and messy.The location is not good.The staff should be educated more. Breakfast is self toast and jam. There was a program that seemed to be a music performance by the staff and several people in the public space in the evening, but it was a level of drinking and crowding. The singing, the staff and some people kept drinking. I put a beer in a plastic bag in a shared refrigerator, and I was drinking, and in a while someone took it out and ate half of it. When I told the drinkers, the drunk staff said they would buy it tomorrow. If they don't, one of them says they give it for money. And they bought beer because they didn't. No one knows, no mistakes, no one says sorry. It's like a place where people without manners stay. The price is cheap for one person, but if you are looking for a hostel alone or shining.There are enough good places at similar prices to the beach

I walked there twice in about 15- 20 minutes; it would cost about 10 RM by Grab taxi. Some rooms have a good view of the Maha tower and the bay --the tower lights up at night and is really beautiful. The bed is quite comfortable and the WIFI is very strong . The shower and hot water runs alright . The staff, Dan, was very helpful and helped me to complete my itinerary . I was travelling alone, but there were families there as well . It is budget friendly but the amenties exceeded my expectations. Of course it is not luxurious, but the rooms are clean. I enjoyed my stay.
