Although this hotel is between ‘ports’ that make up the Cebu coast and between the whale watching areas, I’d highly recommend this place.
After requesting a room with a view, I was not disappointed! My own private balcony overlooking the beach and waves lapping to send me off to sleep.
Arriving late, the amazing and friendly staff kept the kitchen open for me and I was reminded of the friendly reputation of the Philippines people.
Now one surprise was the 250 odd steps one needs to get to your rooms - but the view alone is worth it and the staff have a pulley system to send your luggage up or down for your convenience! And silver lining, the steps means no need for holiday exercise!FromRUB 2,423

Extremely comfy bed, breakfast included in our package was nice, and complimented by a lovely view over the ocean every morning.
The staff were lovely and extremely helpful,

1. Expensive booking! Whale Shark Park booking 1000P / person, hotel booking 1800P / person, boat ticket 500P / person, hotel booking 900P / person, the most important thing is to start at 11:40, let you go out at 9!
2. The hotel environment is very general, you must be prepared to go there!
advantage:
1. Cheap, relatively high cost performance compared to surrounding hotels;
2. Good location, sea view room, near the pier, not far from the whale shark;

Замечательный отель! Милая девушка на ресепшене. Всё рассказала, где байк поставить показала, на снорклинг с китовыми акулами записала. Гид нас пораньше разбудил, провёл на место, минуя всю очередь посадил в лодку (в очереди все те, кто самостоятельно пришли, без тура. Цена практически такая же, а времени уходит очень много именно на стояние в очереди). Кстати, отель в 500 метров от плавания с китовыми, что тоже очень удобно.
Номер тоже понравился: чистый, красивый, удобный, с прекрасным видом на лес (вверху). Единственное, что внизу дорога и ночью большие фуры, проезжающие мимо, нас будили. Наверное, лучше брать вид на другую сторону.
Кто захочет остановиться в этом районе острова, нужно учесть, что как стемнеет можно не найти где поужинать. Так что позаботьтесь об этом заранее.SOLD OUT

Great place to stay for one night, especially if your goal is to see the whale sharks. The location is perfect — close to the meeting point and the bus stop, which makes it super convenient if you’re continuing your journey afterward.
There is also a nice waterfall reachable by foot.
The next day, be ready for an early start: wake up around 4:30 am and arrive at the site by 5 am to be among the first groups. You’ll be done by around 7 am, which gives you plenty of time to grab a shower before heading to your next destination.
Personally, I wouldn’t stay longer than a night — the area is mainly about the whale shark experience, and once you’ve done that, there isn’t much else to keep you busy.FromRUB 782

Amazing hotel! If you want to see the whale sharks, the location is perfect, as you need to get there around 3 AM to get a ticket. The tourist guide of the hotel spent the whole day with us, taking us to see the whale sharks, white sand beach island and Tumalog falls - amazing service! That was the best experience! We arrived by ferry from Panglao to Oslob early morning. Came to hotel. Even check-in time was 14:00, the host took our luggage and opened the room earlier. It was 9 am, so we even managed to go to whale sharks same morning. Shuttle from hotel took us to place, where special guide meet us and guided to boat. Everything was fast, we didn’t stand in a line, no waiting at all. Also hotel organises tours to Sumillon island and Turmalog falls. Exceptional service! Way Shack Hostel is in a fantastic location for visiting the whale sharks. If you speak to Ken at the hostel, he can help arrange the whale shark excursion, it cost me 500 pesos and was super easy to organize.
That said, I’d recommend only a one-night stay here. We were disturbed both nights by heavy goods vehicles passing by the hostel late at night, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, aside from the whale shark activity, there’s not much else around the hostel to keep yourself entertained.
A scooter is essential to travel to the local town for food or supplies. The hostel staff can help arrange a rental if you need one.
On the plus side, the room was clean and equipped with air conditioning, which made it comfortable for a short stay.
Overall, Way Shack Hostel is a practical and budget-friendly option for a quick stopover if you’re visiting the whale sharks, but it’s not ideal for a longer stay.FromRUB 507

Beautiful hotel. More as if there is, but only to look at it, tc will not be able to swim. Sound isolation at zero. Breakfasts as if there is, but as if there is no 🫣

The hotel is located right on the beach, with a stunning ocean view from the terrace. There are steps right from the hotel down to the water, where you can swim. However, I developed an allergic reaction after swimming. I'm not sure if it was the water or the sharks. In any case, it has nothing to do with the hotel.
The rooms are simple, but clean and cozy, with air conditioning and a private bathroom. I especially appreciate the immaculately clean, white towels and bed linens. There's always hot water with decent pressure. The rooms are also very quiet, a rarity in the Philippines.
The staff is very friendly and always ready to help: they can arrange a whale shark tour or scooter rentals.
Water dispensers, coffee, and tea are available all day, which is a nice touch.
The Wi-Fi worked well, which was unexpectedly nice for such a small hotel. The location is excellent: close to beaches, a market, a 7-11, a bus stop to Cebu, and a ferry to Panglao (departs at 11:30 AM daily).FromRUB 1,531

Take a 5 pm cargo ship from the LA LANA pier in Tin Island to the LILO-ON pier in Cebu. It's dark at 7 o'clock ashore, take the last yellow bus back to Cebu South Station, and tell the ticket seller the name address, about 10-15 minutes almost there. When checking in, take the initiative to ask if you want to see a whale shark. If needed, provide early calling and queuing services. A 50ps service fee will be added on the basis of 1000ps. The booked triple room has poor conditions and must be mentally prepared. After all, it is only one night. The next day at 5 o’clock, someone called the door to wake up, walked about 8 minutes to the whale shark point after the assembly, and started to watch the whale shark at about 6 o'clock. The first boat set off and the store agent was very powerful in line.
The other is their own restaurant. The dishes are very delicious and definitely the most delicious in 9 days in the Philippines! !! !!FromRUB 1,156
