|0.28km from city centerMy husband and I had the best experience at Royan suites, we came all the way from Houston Texas for a vacation and we had a blast,the room was clean, refrigerator stocked and the complimentary breakfast was excellent!!! daily housekeeping and the location of the hotel is perfect, very close to alot of attractions, the area is filled with restaurants and shops that are in walking distance, and the staff is amazing, everyone one of them and they are very knowledgeable in terms of tours and best places to shop and eat, we felt like they were family and we love them, and when we go back because we are definitely going back, we will be staying at this same hotel Royan Suites and I would recommend anyone visiting to stay there as well, you would not be disappointed.....

|3.61km from city center- Breakfast consisted of a table with 1 cold hard cooked egg, 2 salami, 2 curry, olives and tomatoes, tasted it as if it had been before, after 1 breakfast I asked the staff not to bring me any more. - If there was an electricity failure in the hotel, first it called it would be affected the whole street, the evening I found it was only affecting our building, out -4 degrees, without electricity no heating and no hot water, to 2 roof so I can warm, Hotel had no 2 roof available for me after I could not do 2 days shower and even not sleep frozen in the cold room night I couldn't leave that hotel early, That hotel did not meet me and booking.com also left me in the cold for 2 days and always waiting for calls. After I left the hotel and took another hotel on my own expenses, booking.com has told me that the hotel would not write anything well and booking.com could only offer me €25. - since I could still understand the mother tongue in Turkish I could not understand with the staff, the other hotel guests, mostly families with young children, could not complain loudly because the staff were not possessed English and were then in your Cool rooms sent back. - The location of the hotel is not suitable for families, as a man or group of men alone can still move a little safely, but women would not advise these areas, street strip and drugs are standard here every night, Hotel is 4 minutes walk from Taksim Square, but is in the darker back streets. - Rooms are very bright and needful for renovation - The room windows are very cold in the locking of the rooms

The owner , Yusuf is very kind person and very supportive. He is always reachable.
There is kitchen. All kitchen equipments are there. Nothing to buy extra. It is actually better than staying a room in a hotel. You will feel so much freedom !!
There is a washing machine and we don’t need to pay at all. there is free washing powder.
I stayed 3 nights at the basement room.
Heating system was perfect. I did not feel cold there.
Shower and toilet room was not so big , however nothing to bother me at all.
Cleanness is perfect.
Cleaning lady cleaned my kitchen as well.
If you expecting to have 5 star hotel bed quality , you will not have it here .
However ,
The owner , Yusuf is fantastic person.
You will feel good during the stay here for sure !
He can kindly organize the Covit 19 test within 72 before the flight.
That was very helpful.

The breakfast slight above average.There is room for improvement though.The location is excellent. BUT.... The biggest plus factor was the meeting of Mr.Selim the Manager of the Hotel. This gentleman went out of his way to ensure our pleasant enjoyable memorable holiday of Turkey. He fought valiantly with Tour Operators for prices on Hot Air Balloons in Cappadocia; Taxi operators to Airport to and fro; shopkeepers;organizing Tramp cards; and sorting local arrangements daily. Holiday was fun with his local assistance all the way. His personality was exceptional. Thank you Mr.Selim In appreciation which should not go unnoticed.

Room 4 at the back was very spacious and clean, had a fridge and a comfortable double bed and sofa that converted into a slightly less comfortable bed (but workable by using the spare duvet as an extra cover). Bathroom was clean and all worked fine. Balcony at rear of room even provided a view of sliver of Bosphorus! :) there is a new electric rail line going in behind the hotel but it doesn’t seem to be up and running yet so heard no trains. There is a mosque not far from the rear of the hotel and the call to prayer can be a little noisy if early in morning, but for me it added to the amazing Istanbul soundscape. Budget hotel so wasn’t expecting luxury but got a friendly, clean and perfectly liveable room in a great location close to all the major Istanbul sights.

|0.59km from city centerThe hotel is particularly good, the pick-up is directly sent to the door, the boss is a handsome guy, help us take the luggage up the stairs, set the family suite, but I guess because of the baggage he directly gave us the first floor suite, Zhenghe Mind. Let's talk about the location of the hotel, just in the old town, walking to the Blue Mosque, Santa Maria Church, the underground palace (not recommended), and the Bosphorus cruise are very convenient, breakfast is also very good, in short, my room I am very recommended, when I left, I helped set up 7 commercial vehicles, 4 people 35 euros, very good, recommended!

But we got much more - renovated room, big and clean, wonderful view from big bay window over popular İstiklal Avenue. Before we concerned a little about missing hotels breakfast. But now we realized that it is a plus - so many cafes are around, so we have a lot of choices for breakfast - any luxury hotels can't provide so big menu :)

|3.39km from city centerThe place is run by the same people as Fide Hotel, so you'll most probable end up here if you book a room in Fide. When you arrive at Fide, they take you to Verna. The place these scoundrels give you has no elevator. The rooms are extremely dirty. The paint is coming off the walls. No fridge or safe box in the rooms. Internet gets disconnected after two minutes of logging in on the network. The toilets are not cleaned at all and prepare to see feces and dirt everywhere. There's a TV set in the room, but no remote controller! I met a guy in the lobby whose belongings had been stolen when he was not in his room. He tried hard to get a compensation from the hotel manager, but the manager, Ömer, refused to compensate for him. I saw the guy again at the airport upon departure and he told me that they didn't give them anything at all All in all, I don't recommend those place even to my enemies.

|3.04km from city centerThe bad: 1) Exact location of the flat is very hard to reach. Taxis cant drive to up to the flat because the street is tiny and block with parked cars so prepare to carry luggage for a few blocks. Also, the street is filthy and dark. 2) The stairs are very dangerous. I honestly cant beleive they are allowed to operate with these stairs (see pix). In some places the stairs less than 2 inches wide and nearly totally verticle. 3) Flat is TINY and very uncomfortable. The pictures are very deceiving. Floors are uneven and dirty. Bathroom is dark. Toilet wont flush. We had to add water to the toilet tank. 4) The 1st floor flat is actually up first about 10 normal stairs, and then up the crazy vertivle stairs. Whereas the ”garden” level flat is up the first 10 normal stairs and then down like 20 very small basement type stairs. The whole place is chopped up in the worst manner in order to absolutely maximize profit by attemtping to create ”flats” out of totally inappropriate spaces. 5) When I requested an extra set of sheets for the sofa bed it resulted in a yelling match with the receptionist questioning my marriage! She asked why we were sleeping in seperate beds and suggested that we should be sleeping in the same bed if we are married. The reality is that the actual bed and bedroom are so small and uncomfortable that in order to give me a little space my husband was going to take a nap on the sofa bed and let me have the normal bed. But they refused to give us sheets, saying ”This is not a hotel. We dont give extra sheets.” 6) We paid for 10 nights - non-refundable - and we left after 1 night. The good (??) - let's call it the - ”not bad”: To be fair - it is cheap - but you get what you pay for. The general location of the flat in Cihangir is great - so I thought 'why not'? But in the end, we preferred to give up 9 paid nights than to stay there any longer because it was so rediculous, uncomforable and unwelcming. Again to be fair - there was one young man who carried our bags up the stairs when we arrived. I dont know his name but he was very nice. (Whereas the woman who was on the whatsapp number was shockigly rude - I actually ended up in tears just from the stress of the terrible place and the super rude treatment from her.)

Il personale si è dimostrato davvero molto accogliente ed è venuto incontro a tutte le mie esigenze, l'ambiente è davvero familiare...insomma si sta bene! Le camere sono ampie, dotate di aria condizionata, bagno ampio, ottima pulizia. In camera è presente anche un bollitore e una macchina del caffè con le cialde, davvero comoda! La colazione viene servita in una terrazza di un hotel a nemmeno 30 metri dalla struttura, abbondante, principalmente salata ma anche chi ama il dolce, come me, trova delle buona soluzioni. Situato in una stradina tranquilla e piena di locali dove poter mangiare o bere una birra. E' possibile prenotare con loro un transfer per l'aeroporto e diverse attrazioni. Davvero consigliato!

|2.31km from city centerthank you flat company - excuse the delay in putting the review online this was our third stay at the karakoy apartments we had book just as covid hit and kindly our lost booking was honoured in november this year 2022 the apartment are an economy stay they set in an area surround by hardware / builders stores that come alive early morning full of local bustle - with some small food shops and restaurants we have always felt safe journeying home in daylight and after dark they are local and within easy reach of so many places - galata - fatih - karakoy - two bridge over the bosphurous - endless backstreet shopping and eateries and bars - ferries to the islands - many of the famous tourist attractions - buses - trains - airport transfer plus plus there are a small amount of cooking utensils provided in each apartment it can be difficult to find alcohol (off licence) in some area so stock up if you see it - cork screw and bottle openers in rooms we have nothing be thanks to all the staff ( on each visit) for their kindness and their willingness to go the extra to help you enjoy your stay hope to be back soon there is so much to see and experience in istanbul again many thanks j and a

Manager waited til after 1am for me to arrive, the room was clean and quiet (though the city was shut down because of the snow storm), and it was perfectly located, 1 minute from istiklal cadessi. Would happily stay again.

The hotel decoration is relatively new and the facilities are good. But no one in the hotel service can speak English. От бизнес центра далеко, ездили на такси 25-30 минут , поймать такси на улице занимало 10-15 минут. Очень компактное место, около 15-20 номеров, может больше. Апартаменты состоят из гостиной, спальни и санузла. Есть шкаф с полочками и вешалками, халаты, тапочки. В ванне душевая кабина, отсутствует сама ванна. Быстро помыть только голову отдельно - это проблема. Шампунь лучше брать с собой. Есть утюг, доска, фен, ванные принадлежности, микроволновка, холодильник, посудомойка, духовка, посуда, доски, вилки- ложки-ножи, штопор (не хватило кухонного полотенца при готовке), во дворе маленький открытый бассейн. Очень чисто везде! На кухне не хватило кулера. При заезде есть 2 бутыли воды по 1,5-2,0 л, далее покупали воду в магазине рядом по 3,5 за 1,5-2,0 л. Достаточно тихо, если нет семей с детьми в бассейне. Замечательные кровать и подушки, темные шторы блокирующие свет. Место скорее для семейного отдыха местных или близлежащих стран. Выходить из апартаментов в костюме и на шпильках, когда вокруг в трусах загорают и плескаются, было неуместно. Напротив гостиницы через дорогу можно быстро поменять валюту на местную без очереди. Рядом с гостиницей (справа) магазин BIM, где есть все продукты для приготовления обеда + промтовары для дома + гигиена. С другой стороны вниз по улице - алкогольный + соки. В 30 минутах ходьбы выход к морю, набережная, чуть дальше песчаный пляж, чисто , ухоженно, уютный парк с тенью. Удобное место для пикника. По пути супермаркет. Огромное спасибо девушкам не ресепшн! Решат любую проблему вежливо, грамотно и деликатно. Этот момент запомнился больше всего!
