Our five-point flight to Langkawi Airport, driving out after Zhenzhen Looking for an hour in South Beach, I didn't find it. I finally asked a lot of local Chinese. I called and checked the map. I finally found the hotel at nine o'clock in the evening. General environment, breakfast in general, come to Langkawi holiday travel, or forget it! The boss is a young Malay who can only communicate in simple English, but people are very enthusiastic!

This place is more like an apartment than a hotel/resort, maybe they should improve on the outlook of the building, it looks kinda old compared to the resort next to it. Overall my stay here was quite pleasant and the unit I booked was spacious, it came with two bedrooms with separate toilets. There's only air conditioning in the bedroom, common areas such as the living room and kitchen are only ceiling fans, but this was fine as we spent most of the time outside. I think minor improvements on the furniture would be added value. The sound proof needs to be improved too as we could awake without alarm easily in the early morning, maybe due to it facing the main road. The staff were friendly and provided all the information to us. Location is just 10 minutes away from the airport, I would suggest renting a car for easy travel around because the tourist spots like Tanjung Rhu, Cenang Beach, Kuah Town, Cable Car, Skybridge are more than 30mins away from this resort.

|10.1km from city centerRL Lodge as it is called nowadays is a long standing favourite of backpackers who stay near Pantai Cenang. Even the dorm offers privacy comparable to a small single room due to walls between beds. RL is not new but still very well managed by Ann & Eddie. It was fully booked on the day I stayed there (despite being the rainy season). I decided to afford myself a large room with attached bathroom and terrace with hammock which was excellent value for money. Ann took me on her bike to a noname Malay restaurant which offers excellent and authentic food for locals and therefore very little money. Standard tours can be booked right there.

The kitchen supplies include an induction cooker, a cooking pot, six glasses, six bowls, six spoons and six forks. If you need extra toilet paper and knives, you can communicate with the landlord. Chinese is no problem. Check-in requires a cash deposit of 200. Overall, it's clean, new, wide, has a nice swimming pool, and good security. There are dozens of food stalls just a few steps away.

|9.5km from city centerDo you know the feeling when you come to visit the house of your friends? that's how you will feel in this place. Didi and Goy are the best hosts ever. The first time we arrived, Didi was waiting for us with a nice welcome and a map of the island, he literally knows every corner of the island and without his advice, we couldn't have had a great experience. The room was big, impeccable and so clean, Goy always make sure you would have everything in your room. We had awesome sleep. Nothing to say about the delicious breakfast they provide. It's a small place with only 4 rooms, perfect if you wanna be in a quiet environment. A bit far from Cenang beach but you can get a motorcycle rented from them for a few bucks, very cheap and the motos are almost new, Didi would make sure your moto is ready. What really amazed us is that both Didi and Goy took all the time they have to spend with us, sharing breakfast in the morning and making us feel at home. I am really surprised why this place is not full all the time, as I said, it's not a hotel for us, it's like coming to a friend's home. The only regret we have is not have been able to stay more days.

The facility is located on the edge of Cheng Beach in a very quiet location. After about 300m you are in the middle of the tumbling. The resort is located in a beautiful garden, which is certainly very nice if it could grow a few years. The whole is instilled with a concrete wall that unfortunately stood 2-3 m behind our bungalow. Breakfast is very overview. The simple Asian standard just with eggs, toast, marmelade and fruit. There was a point deduction in the review because the laundry service put us the laundry into a bag. There were 3 shirts together on it and the rest together bundled below. From ,built, ....Worlds away ... On my question how this could happen, I received the answer that the employees had probably started, but then their working time was finished for the day. In addition, we would book back there at any time. People are also really very friendly and helpful.

Cups for the complimentary tea & coffee as well as a water dispenser. It is down a little road so very quiet & peaceful whilst still being 5 minutes away from the main road & beach. Breakfasts are available, Irene makes a great banana bread and the cinnamon buns were also excellent! Would definitely return if visiting Langkawi again.

|9.42km from city centerStaying for 2 nights in this wonderful little homestay, I have 0 expectations before arrival but once I reach it, it’s exactly what I’m looking for. Quiet and peaceful, next to the beach and has everything you needed. The owner was very nice and let me know all the amenities, although the weather is a little rough, it doesn’t affect my holiday mood. The cottage is clean and has everything you need. The bed is comfortable and the air-conditioning is so powerful that it cools down a hot room in 5 minutes. The shower has hot water and the water pressure is stronger than in my own house. Lol. There’s lots of outdoor seating area in the compound, just be careful that during evening time there are many mosquitoes. There’s a commune kitchen nearby the beach where you can do your cooking. The beach in front is full of rocks, please wear swimming shoes if you plan to jump in, otherwise, you can walk 5 minutes to the nearby beach. During my time, 90% of the beach is totally no people. You can have your own time and no one will disturb you. About restaurants, there’s only very few within walking distance. I’m not driving so I only can walk. One is the further restaurant nearby Four Season where sell Fish and Chips. Hmm, the food portion is a little small with that price, but it has a good view and draft Guinness. The other one is Din’s Cafe, if they are open in the morning I believe I would have all my meals there. Very decent local makan place (restaurant). They serve everything you’ll expect in a Malay restaurant. They also have western food and all kind of beverages other than alcohol. IT’S SO GOOD AND BETTER THAN MANY PLACES IN KL. If you need any groceries, there’s a shop about 1-15 minutes walking distance. They sell EVERYTHING you need. Surely will be back and thanks to the owner for such a wonderful stay!

I was greeted warmly by Wan who runs the place and works very hard at it too. You can see him doing many chores but also taking the time out to speak to guests. A fine balance. I was initially going to book through Airbnb but communicated directly with Wan instead. He was very trusting and patient with so many questions I had. On arrival, I was allowed to view the room before I booked. I wanted 2 days in the chalet, granted. As it was my birthday, Wan upgraded me for free to a family room but I loved the budget room so much that was enough! I had lost my purse a few days ago and Wan was concerned for me. Hi place is spacious and spotless, you can't ask for more. Wan very kindly gave me a discount for the week and a free, cold welcome drink. He is excellent at his job. Informative but not pushy. I really can't praise this guy enough and would not think twice about booking here. The location is amazing just opposite the beach and so many good food places nearby. I will be back, thank you.
