Please Avoid this place. It is cheap but nothing else! I stayed here checked into the receiption which is 24 hours after my working day. The place is near the metro cuatro caminos (a mainly poorer area of Madrid with lots of south american population). The area does have a 24 hour supermarket which was good as the hostal has no food/drink facilities. The room was a very small single bed as I was alone on an education course for my job. The room had a fan and tv and a small table. Once you switch off the light the fan goes off so you cannot sleep with the fan on at night with 39c heat. you cannot leave the window open as its not a safe place. The first moment I checked in, i quickly went outside to get air and get the metro outside. They checked in a drunk african man at 6pm in the evening who was walking up the stairs with a can of beer unable to walk or see anything (their is no lift to the rooms) you need to walk up around 50 stairs to the rooms. They take anyone from the streets if they pay the small charge to stay here. Second day, the two receiptionists or owners were fighting over money from the hotel they were shouting and getting agressive. Its was an uncomfortable situation to see. I left and came back after work for a shower and the room had not been cleaned. They said you didnt put a badge on the door saying clean my room. Couldnt they knock and say something? Very strange way of working? The next day I put the badge clean my room but NO nothing changed. It was an excuse.. Then I went and complained he didnt speak any English and didnt want to know he said the cleaners left and nothing he can do. I pulled off the bedsheets, but the bed protector was badly stained with blood and I also got a skin rash. I left the property 1 day early, it was disgusting. The toilets were not cleaned either and insects were crawling everywhere. This place should be closed down immediately. They dont take security or cleaning seriously, they dont want to know problems only take your money. I explained to Expedia about this place but the hotel denied everything. SHAME!!!

For the price of the room ( around 140 Euros or 7 nights), I was very satisfied. It is a family run hotel and all the staff were very helpful and some speak good English. There is no lift system but however, the stairs are wide and there are only a few floors. The free Wifi connection is good and there is a bar/ restaurant which is not expensive. The Metro is several minutes walk away and easy to find.

If you want to reach nearby attractions more conveniently, the location is the only advantage of this hotel. The hotel is very close to the Royal Palace of Madrid and its own subway. The facilities are the same as in the promotional pictures. However, the room has a peculiar smell that is hard to get used to. There is no hairdryer. The shower room is small and not waterproof, and water easily overflows when taking a shower. Appartement situé en dehors du centre ville, mais à 5 min de la sortie métro CUZCO et surtout à 100 m d'un carrefour market ouvert 7/7 24/24. Il est bien insonorisé, literie très confortable et très bon oreillers. Même le canapé lit est doté d'un matelas très correct pour des ados. Un kit d'entretien est fournis avec tablettes lave vaisselles, produits ménagers,éponges et torchons, sachant qu'on nous demande de nettoyer seulement le coin kitchenette et vider la poubelle. Sinon, enfin un sèche cheveux correct !! Et c'est rare.. Point mitigé, les WC sont dans la salle de bain Enfin, la piscine sur le toit est peu profonde (1m) et peu large, mais à vraiment le mérite de rafraîchir, surtout en plein centre ville ESPAGNOL. Astuce pour le parking: on avait réservé par internet, dans le parking souterrain ORENSE en face de l'appartement, et c'est presque 30%moins cher qu'en direct sur place

To even get into the bld u have to stand on street with all your bags and wait for customer service to answer your call get your name info and then buzz u in, as i was waiting, a vagrant was smoking 3 ft away and the smoke was blowing in my face, and the wind and it was cold, finally i got in, and the lobby has bits of food all over floor here and there, it was not really a hotel and not really a lobby as there was no receptionist just two screens, it took 3 calls and 35 minutes with phone call to customer service to get thru the process and u had to type in all the details all over again, passport expire date etc, very tedious and time consuming, they would not open the room til 3pm via an email to u, so that email came about 3.05pm and got to room and settled by 330pm so entire afternoon is lost, there is no where for them to store bags so u have to sit with the bags, there is no handy handout sheet of paper explaining anything like the fact, in any case the room is clean quiet, the important thing is there is no way i would call this a hotel, more and more some of the booking sites are using these quasy housing units and calling them a hotel, its a degradation of the language, i would say its a difference from a hotel, its what it is.
