A pleasant, quiet villa, with a certain charm, a little far from the city center. You must have a motor vehicle to go for meals in town. One of the rare hotels not to increase its prices during the Kandy Perahera. The rooms are comfortable, simple and clean. Fan. It is generally cooler in Kandy than in the rest of the country. A few years ago, a young team managed this place from the reception to the restaurant (you could have your meals there). Today there is only one man, Darshana, contact: 072 348 8416 who takes care of everything: cleaning, laundry, reception, preparation of breakfasts. The Sri Lankan owner who lives in Switzerland seems unaware that the person to whom he has entrusted the management of the hotel (who is not Darshana) is an indolent person, based in Kandy, who does not respond or responds too late to reservation requests to the point where cancellations accumulate. We have witnessed it. Too bad, it's a nice place, at an attractive price.

It can only be said that there is a price and a price. This is especially true in large cities, especially in underdeveloped areas. advantage: 1. Built on a hill, in a small courtyard, the environment is good. Especially after comparing it with another one on the mountain, I felt even more so. 2. The restaurant is on the side of the mountain, overlooking the mountains. Nice common areas like living room. There is also an area with a wide variety of wines. 3. The front desk brother is more service conscious and will ask you if you want to have dinner, etc. Of course, this is an additional charge. Slot point: 1. Pick-up or meal, I did n’t tell me the charges and expenses in advance, they are calculated together at the check-out, but many items are charged. 2. The room is small and tide. There is no hot water in the bathroom and the shower is difficult to use. There are no sheets but blankets. I also see dirt on the small towel. 3. Some behavior of the front desk brother is already considered harassment

With a six-year-old child, the big bed is enough to sleep, very quiet, the bath water is a little small but enough. There are two very handsome black dogs. The landlord is very graceful, the service is very intimate, breakfast and dinner are here to eat, very satisfied, the landlord will sit next to help you introduce the local food, will not help you to replace the taste. Especially the dinner is just New Year's Eve, the New Year's Eve dinner of the Lankan family in the exotic country, there is no flavor, a very satisfactory stay.

Pros Very peaceful guest house, high above the hustle and bustle of busy Kandy. We enjoyed our 1 night stay here. They provided us with a delicious breakfast. All of the staff were very welcoming, helpful and kind. The bed was big and comfortable, the AC worked well and the water was nice and hot. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony, reading our books in the morning, watching the sun rise. Amazing views. It was perfect for what we needed and excellent value for money. Cons Some ants in the room. But most places in Sri Lanka so far, we’ve had a similar experiences. Overall, would recommend to family and friends and would stay again. Thank you

We are a French family and had 2 rooms during 2 nights… we recommend you to stay at the villa49. Everything was fine. Location is very good ( 15/20 minutes walk from the city center), rooms are big, air conditioning works well and not noisy, food is excellent a little bit like a 5 star restaurant. Relaxing atmosphere with nice music.. Hoppers ( kind of « egg crepes made with rice water and cocunut milk) during the breakfirst were so delicious. We want to come back soon 😉
