I loved the fact that the location is perfect for a quite night as well as it’s so closed to Namsan tower for a beautiful walk in morning, Myeongdong for shopping and sightseeing in evening time and many places I can get to in less than 15 mins The guest house is perfectly clean , they have a healthy breakfast as well as a projector where I played my favorite movies at night before heading to sleep. The family are so nice and always there to help me with everything I needed ^_^ I recommend this place for long term and short term stays~~

Whether you're traveling with your family and friends or on a business trip, Namsan Stay is a good choice for you. It's located in downtown Seoul, so you can easily find all the attractions. It has all the facilities you need to stay for the same comfort as home. There are uphill paths, so we provide taxi/parking fee every day for the convenience of travel. If you have any luggage, you can get off the station and take a taxi to the entrance of the accommodation.

I really like this place very much. It is very clean. Breakfast has bread, instant noodles, coffee, and there is always hot water to drink. There is a rooftop. Because it is too cold, I only went up twice. It is on the hillside as everyone said, but around Very quiet, there are convenience stores and restaurants on the way uphill, and the tatami mats for sleeping are very comfortable. Compared with other homes, this place has a very large space. When I left, the proprietress said thank you very much for your clean stay, hehe, hope Every Chinese friend who goes to live in a clean place, will not be rejected by foreigners, and will live in their home next time they go to Korea

We stayed 5 nights here with 2 kids. The unit is cozy with good heating. There’s a kitchenette and full fridge available for us although we hardly use it. The washing machine comes in real handy as we are able to wash our clothes. The breakfast is available at the cafe downstairs and it is sufficient for us although not much variety. The location of this guesthouse is easy for us to travel everywhere in Seoul. The hike uphill is quite a challenge for us especially when our kids get tired. I would like to commend that the service is really good. We arrived at 11am as we took a red eye flight. They let us check in to catch a nap before lunch. The power nap really helped us to regain our strength before we start the day. They also helped us keep our huge luggage when we took off to Sokcho although we have already check out. Thumbs up for great hospitality.

The boss is a Korean, can't understand Chinese, but can also use wealth translation to communicate, the location is not far from Myeong-dong, but for purchasing, dragging two bags to climb a slope is still a little tired, if it is travel, then accommodation is OK, the first One night we arrived very late, the boss left us the door key, the other building we stayed in and ran three times back and forth to find, breakfast is self-service bread + juice, butter and jam, tastes good

*Accommodating staff/owner - quickly responds to your needs and questions; adjusts accordingly and go an extra mile to accommodate you (The owner even drove us to Seoul station during our last stay at the hotel) *Convenience & Affordability - the place is located at Myeongdong, famous as one of the shopping spots in Korea and just few minutes away from the subway station. The rates are reasonable and perfect for budget travellers! Basic toiletries are also provided. Common areas such as kitchen, dining room and laundry rooms are also in place. You can move around comfortably as if it is the extension of your home! The rooms are not big but comfortable enough during our stay. We highly recommend this place if you are the type who looks for an accommodation with a good quality, minimalist yet with reasonable price!

Many of these hotels in Seoul feel that the price is still very high, that is, the store is more secret. Unfamiliar in foreign countries, follow the navigation, find it in the hutong is a little troublesome. Self check-in is very good, it is very late and does not disturb other people, the door check-in tips are written in great detail. We were a little cold when we went, but there was no heating. In addition, the customer service sister is very good, patient

The location is very good. There are obvious road signs to find the intersection according to the map. Need to go uphill for a period similar to the alley. But usually only the owner ’s father was there. The door was a code lock at night when we arrived. The owner did n’t tell us in advance. Check-in: No one opened the door by ringing the doorbell, and the homeowner WeChat did not pass in time. It waited for more than ten minutes. Some guests came back from the outside. Because I did n’t get in touch with the host, I had to rely on myself. I opened the door and saw the name of the reservation posted on the shoe cabinet. I knew my room number. Then I moved my luggage into the house. No one was in the process, desperate. Room: The room is not large. A 1.5m mattress and an old small refrigerator (unplugged, with a slight smell), so it is not used. A dressing table, a simple chair. So I always put on makeup in front of the floor-standing mirror, otherwise I have to kneel or sit on the mattress. I can spread out a suitcase in the rest of the place. If it's crowded, I'll spread out two 24-inch suitcases. The TV is basically offline, no signal ... Toilets: Because the homestay is generally underfloor heating, the toilets are cold, there are no facilities such as Yuba, only a lamp and exhaust. The exhaust sound is slightly louder (within a small acceptable range), but it is cold wind, that is, it will freeze to death if the toilet door is opened (the reason is explained later). Wash basin, toilet, corner rack, mirror, towel rack, clothes line. The shower nozzle is connected with the sink. There is no description. To study it yourself, you need to press or pull a button to switch. The towel is this dark brown. The overall toilet feels cold! The environment is not very clean and bright. Floor heating: 18 degrees at room temperature! It ’s always the same, because some guests first encountered the same problem. I helped communicate with the host WeChat (the host passed the entry after entering their own room), and then because it stayed colder, I communicated with the host again. Let me help take a picture of the equipment downstairs. After adjusting the equipment, it has an effect after 30 minutes. Basically, the indoor temperature stays around 22-23 degrees for the five days I live. Breakfast is also buffet There are various presentations in the kitchen and common areas. The homeowner's father said little and was very kind. He didn't touch him so much and said goodbye before leaving. If you don't take a picture, you won't go to the picture. The overall feeling is really not very good, I can understand the self-service throughout the homestay, but there are some things, such as things like telling the door password in advance. I am not very satisfied with the sanitation of the environment and facilities, including my husband and I are really disappointed with this homestay (maybe I expect it to be too high), but in view of this location, the price is still acceptable, as long as the demand is not large All are OK. Anyway, I do n’t want to experience it next time ...

The door only had a combination lock. I stayed there for 5 days. I was safe anyway. Although the room was too small to breathe, it was considered to have all the organs. The bathroom and toilet are separate. The bathroom has only one type of shampoo and shower. Bath flowers are also available. Outside the rectangular window is a large glass fence. The window can only be opened with a small slit, which is very dark and not considered ventilation. So there are windows and windows are the same. The mattress is not spring, it is thin, but it is more comfortable to sleep. There is no drinking water in the room. You need to go to the restaurant on the basement floor to drink. Breakfast ends at 9:30 Korean time, with bread and boiled eggs. There is jam, and coffee and milk. It is intimate that a conversion plug is prepared in the room. But if your charging cable is not long enough, it is not convenient to use the phone while lying in bed and charging. Health is OK. Every day someone will clean it, but if you want to clean it completely, you will be asked to ask the front desk. My tote bag was hung there and I wanted to keep some stuff. It disappeared when I went back. It should have been collected as garbage when I cleaned the room. It is close to the New Century Duty Free Shop and it takes about 10 minutes to walk. It is also close to Myeongdong Commercial Street. The homestay is on a hillside, but it is not tiring to get up. There are restaurants and convenience stores open 24 hours. I have written everything I can think of here, I hope to give you a valuable reference.

Visit Seoul at the end of September 2019 , the hotel chose because of its location - a nearby stop of air-expresses following to Inchon and Gimpo airports, Metro Station Mendon exit 10, to Mendon on foot 5 minutes. When you get out of the bus, look right and a little back and see the hotel sign, located high above the street, so don't get lost. The hotel itself is small, elevator, one-bedroom room is not so small, bed is located as if in a niche, table, taburet, a garment hanger on the wall, safe, big TV, a remote one for TV and air conditioner.Teapot, put 1 bag of tea. The shower, there was hot water, on the washing machine 3 bottles of gel, shampoo, liquid soap.1 towel for feet and two small, no bath towels. The room is very quiet.Cleaning every day. Breakfast on the first floor in a cozyly decorated living room until 8-45 morning, coffee, 3 types of mushrooms, milk, eggs, kimchi, sausages, ham, vegetables, pasta with meat, juice. Over the road from the hotel, the shop 7/11. The staff on the recipes is very welcome, helped by advice how to get to the sights, on the counter there are booklets for tourists. I thank Kana, who helped me to carry the suitcases before stopping the bus when I left the hotel, very well, as my shoulder is very sick! The hotel recommends for budget travelers, the price-quality ratio is excellent!

Our family came to Korea to stay in the hotel twice, mainly because they feel comfortable. There are several reasons for this: First of all, there is a feeling of home, no matter how good or bad, there is always something in the kitchen, such as custard bread, coffee, etc. The children like it very much. The feeling of milk and eggs is not available in China, and this time it feels like the boss The kitchen cabinet is full of food and drink; the laundry room is on the second floor, the washing powder I have not seen in the country, clean and fragrant; the boss is a young man, the person is low-key but responsive. This time I felt like I was filled with tourists from several countries. This time I didn’t have time to thank the boss because I was flying. Insufficient to say, the room is a little small, no teeth, no other.

Its located near Myeongdong exit 3, then a bit of uphill walk. There are a lot of restos, cafes and convenience store in the area. Room has two single beds. Spacious than other guesthouse, we can open our 2 big luggage at the same time. They provided shampoo, toothbrush/toothpaste and body wash. Towels are really small, like the size of hand towels. Mini fridge provided. No elevator but they have a lift for the luggage. Free breakfast, but we were not able to try since we left early in the morning. The halmeoni gave us handmade souvenir, when we checked out.

I stayed at Hostel Tommy for 3 weeks. At first, my plan was to spend each week at a different place whether it was a hostel, hotel or AirB&B. However, after my first week at Hostel Tommy, there was no need for me to go anywhere else. I give Hostel Tommy 5 starts for the following reason: 1) proximity to everything. Any subway or bus that you need to go anywhere is within a 5-10 minute walking distance. I never took a taxi anywhere; and believe me, I went all over Seoul. 2) Convenience: there's a 24-hour 7-Eleven literally right next door, so anything that I needed (snacks) was just next door. 3) Lodging: the room are spacious, super clean, the beds are comfortable. The common areas were also clean and inviting. 4)Reception: Tommy and his staff are the BEST. They will help you with anything you need. I had a great time in Seoul because I never had to worry about anything regarding my stay. From now on, I will ALWAYS stay at Hostel Tommy every time I visit Seoul.

The day after he refused to sexually harass me, he stopped cleaning up the garbage and used towels, so I protested the harassment and cleaned up after that, but the day before the last day, he came to my room and said that he would check the room with me in the morning. The first thing I heard was that they would just return the key and charge the card later if anything happened. I refused it .After he said to call the police. But He was a call to like seems easily dominant girl and has ask to explain that she is doing is ok. He was taken away to make me apologize after that without his own apology. I apologized because it was a bad accident for her. But Its just his problem. He never apologized to her. Very creepy but I finally give up will checking room when I check out with him. So, he changed smile and said he want to follow the airport or Soul . Dominate again... He told every girls to do it, but I don't want it and too much the act. So I refused many times, but he didn't stop follow me. Before I refuse , He said that he would call the police . But I just refuse his creepy kindness. Pretty decent private hostel, in terms of room size and comfort. The location is great - in a pretty central area, close to a metro station, CU convenience store, and cafe. The wet bathroom was very small but still functional - it did have some mold spots though. Hostel provides towels but no body-sized ones, only hand towel size. There are some free-to-use communal items like electric plug converters, a kitchen area with bread and eggs, drinking water, etc. The check-in process is all on a screen near the entrance which was my first time experiencing something like that!

It takes less than 2 minutes from Exit 1 of Seocho Station (Line 2), but there is no signboard of the hotel, and the cafe next door is a landmark. The so-called ``Goshiwon'', Livingtel and Officetel type guesthouses. There is a reception on the 4th floor, but the staff is not resident, and it depends on the time of day, so it is better to inform the check-in time. Shoe boxes and slippers are available for rent at the entrance. The 2nd floor is a single room with a shower, and the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors are single rooms without a shower. There is a shared kitchen on the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th floors, and you can eat whatever you want. There is a water server on each floor. If you are not familiar with Kosiwon, it may be difficult for long-term residents because the staff is not resident. The room requires a normal key and a deposit of 10,000w at check-in. The room is a little over 2 tatami mats in size, and although the shape of the room is different between the inside and the outside, the basic structure is a shelf above the desk, a clothes closet next to it, and a refrigerator below. The lights in the hallway are turned off day and night, probably to save electricity (even if someone turns them on, they are immediately turned off), so the inside of the building feels a bit dry. The shared shower on the 4th floor is old and a little intimidating, which may be hard for Japanese people. The showers on the 2nd and 3rd floors are clean and bright. Wi-Fi had routers on the floor and in each room, but it was a little choppy, probably due to aging, so there was no problem with smartphones, but PCs were difficult to use. It is suitable for people who want to keep their accommodation costs low as it is easily accessible from the station despite being a cheap hotel. If you walk to the other side, you can reach ”Kyodae” station on lines 8 and 9 in about 10 minutes, so it's convenient. Airport limousines can also be boarded on the main street. There is a large mall with Lotte Mart on the other side of the station, and it is convenient because it also has a food court. There are many local restaurants in the back street, and it is crowded with local office workers, so you won't have any trouble staying. Since the staff is not resident, if you tell the time when you check out, they will come to return the deposit, but it is also a bit of a problem.

Major security and food hygiene issues. Beware! Food hygiene issue: They provide bibimbap + other side dishes for breakfast. The alarming thing is their re-use of the side-dishes. When the breakfast was over and all other guests have left the dining area, the host casually put the unconsumed side dishes back into the larger pots where they are stored. The reason this is alarming is because the side dishes are shared among all the guests, and the sharing nature of the side dishes inevitably means that their saliva will also be shared. Not only is this gross to think about, but this will also potentially promote infectious diseases. Security issue: We stayed in a private guest room as a couple with our private bathroom. The locks were the old Korean style, with 2 sets of 4 sliding doors - one set on the outside, one set on the inside. The outer set of sliding doors have 2 screw-in locks which can be padlocked. The inner set of sliding doors only have screw-in locks. When leaving the room, I had the inner set of sliding doors shut, with one side of the door remaining locked. We were shocked to find that upon returning, both sides of the inner doors were unlocked and opened, indicating that someone had entered our room. No tampering of the padlock was evident, suggesting that this person had the proper keys to the padlock. What was more disturbing was that there was no good reason for anyone to have been there! No cleaning and no rearranging of amenities! We tried several times to contact the owner to no avail. We immediately packed and left after the first night. Value for Money: Quite expensive for what it is. But, if you want the experience of staying in an old-style traditional korean housing, there are several other such guesthouses. Location: Good location. Close to Anguk subway station, palaces and insadong, but far enough from the main road to not be affected by road noise. Cleanliness: Clean enough. Staff: Questionable business practice & work ethics. There is one elderly woman who appears to be helping to keep the guesthouse clean and to prepare meals. She only speaks Korean, and does so very loudly and abruptly. I am a Korean, and this does not bother me as I do have some idea about how some people speak, but my wife found this very confronting. Facilities: Minimal. Very small rooms with no furniture. But this is, after all, a part of the traditional Korean Hanok experience.

Chinese service is provided, overall it is not bad, next to the subway entrance, there is a barbecue restaurant next to it, but the front desk is often not there, and the room is too small, smaller than a single room in a seven-day hotel in Shanghai, China, which costs more than 100 yuan

Fantastic communication from Mary, great location, perfect for families or groups. Large mezzanine room with queen sized bed, pull out queen bed underneath and 4 single beds above. Right at the steps of Hongik Uni Exit 1. No Netflix, just Korean TV. Lovely electric blanket. Washing machine, heater, fan, fridge and cooking amenities. Keypad entrance so can self check in. The bathroom shower tiling is a little run down, the shower is warm but not hot hot. I booked last minute as a solo traveller not knowing the city and paid a pretty price for the location, should have researched more and saved some money staying in Sinchon or other surrounding areas. Nothing to do with the accommodation, that was my own error. However, if you want to be right in the heartbeat of Hongdae with multiple guests this is your place. I enjoyed my stay.

We stayed at this hotel for quite a long time in 2022, as we were international students in Korea. We had to change several places until we found this amazing hotel. The hotel is located in a beautiful area, within walking distance of 2 metro stations, convenient to go to anywhere in Seoul. In the hotel there is a common use area, which includes a cozy kitchen with everything necessary for cooking and a washing machine for guests. The bright and spacious rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the hotel. The rooms are equipped with everything necessary for living. The bathroom is big and clean. Very kind hosts helped us many times and were always in touch with us. Thanks to this beautiful hotel, we have the most pleasant impressions and memories of Seoul. We recommend this hotel to everyone. Thanks a lot and all best wishes to the hosts of the hotel from 2 girls from Russia!

I contacted them because I had not received the email with my room number and password, so they responded immediately! It's a little far from the subway station, but it's within walking distance and there's a convenience store nearby, so it's very convenient. I was annoyed that I couldn't flush toilet paper, but it wasn't as much of a problem as I thought it would be. I had a very comfortable stay for 4 days.

Okay, it's comfortable, I think it's good to go to someone who doesn't know. It's not scary and safe to go alone. It's a verified place where you don't have to be disappointed. So I always choose without worry. I will use it often in the wall. I recommend it to those in the local community. If you want to come with your children without worrying, you can focus on the contents of your trip without any trouble. The subway is also close and good,,,

The location is pretty good, near Myeongdong. I picked it specially. But the price is a bit expensive. It feels like almost 200 yuan. The next day I saw the price dropped to more than 100 yuan... I'm drunk. Because I arrived late, the clerk was off work and left me a note for self-check-in. The key was that he wrote my name wrong... Contact details: No phone calls are allowed, only text messages are allowed... I am speechless. What should I do in case of emergency? I didn't have a Korean mobile phone number to send messages, so I could only check in first and then post the note back. It would be embarrassing if someone couldn't check in at night... The next day I saw that the clerk had written the wrong name. There is floor heating in the room, which is warm, but the bathroom is very cold... Wearing thin long sleeves at night will make you sweat. Provided bedding and two towels and toothpaste as well as shower gel and shampoo, others such as toothbrushes are provided by yourself. There are also kitchen utensils for use. Remember to buy Korean beef to eat~ South Korea doesn’t even need to see your passport information, just confirm your name. It’s very trustworthy and very good.

We had everything we needed so there was nothing missing. The room feels a little small when the carrier is unfolded, but the room is bright and cute. The location is good, just outside exit 10. There was also an umbrella in case we got caught in a sudden rain or snow. When doing laundry, detergent hangers are always available, so you don't have to bring anything with you. The room has an ondol so it's warm and comfortable to stay in. I brought room slippers with me, but the room is clean so you don't have to. The shower temperature and water pressure are good. It was also nice that there was a water server. It was quite a pleasant stay, so I would like to use it again.

It is very close to Dongdaemun apm, but it is really small and small, suitable for yourself. In addition to the bed, the room is full of two 26-inch boxes. As you imagine, it is not suitable for parents or children, and the sound insulation is not good. It is close to the tower block of Dongdaemun, and it is convenient to take the subway

Although the room is small, it has everything. It is suitable for backpackers. The soundproofing is average, but everyone is quiet, which is good. The air may be a bit cold, but it's very warm in winter. There is also a free buffet in the store, which is great. The mango juice and Americano coffee are delicious. The public restroom is also clean. Although there are only 2 spaces, there was no one waiting during my stay. Transportation is convenient. There is bus 6011 to the airport near the hotel. To save money, you can take bus 162 or 100 to Seoul Station and transfer to the airport line. Exit 4 of Hyehwa Station of Subway No. 4 is not far away. There are shops along the road where you can go shopping and eat. A short walk from the hotel is Sungkyunkwan ~ the nearby attractions are all good ~ The boss is nice and can speak English. He also has a translator for those who don’t understand. There is no communication barrier. It’s a very cost-effective store.

The overall area is quite large. The common living facilities in the room are quite complete, such as washing machines, refrigerators, electric kettles and other quite complete household appliances, as well as complete toiletries. Although the decoration of the room is relatively simple, it is very comfortable and very comfortable. The fresh style, whether for long-term or short-term residence, is an excellent choice and highly recommended.
