Nice place to stay but definitely not a 5 star hotel. For how much it cost and we were surprised to see that this place had a 5 star rating. It was clean but food was not great. Very standard. We got all inclusive and I don't think it was worth it. Restaurants are very simlair to buffet food. Just setting is nicer. Buffet gives a canteen feel. At least the pool was not crowed. Lastly the wellness centre (spa) that is over priced for what is actually delievered. There are much nicer places to stay in Crete. The evening entertainment is of low standard. Shame. Hotel needs a update and it could be so much

Our stay at the Knossos Royal was wonderful. The room we stayed was clean and the view was beautiful. The animation program was entertaining and we had so much fun. The food at the main restaurant was tasty and we had so many options and the staff there was very kind and helpful especially our waitress Thaleia and her assistant waiter Aphroditi took really good care of us.The girl at the front door greeted us very warmly with a big smile, there’s also the three other a la carte restaurants that we dined were fantastic. Taverna Artemis is a Greek theme restaurant with rich portions of food and excellent service, Fontana Amarosa the Italian restaurant was a great experience with the ambiance being a really big part of it, the food was flawless and the service was perfect to none. At last the Gourmet restaurant was an amazing experience with live music and beautiful beach view with a phenomenal sunset to go along. The food there was amazing and something that you don’t try everyday, service was good as well. Overall we had an awesome time in the resort and look forward to come back next year.

Fantastic Hotel Our 1st time in Crete and it was brilliant, hotel 1st Class, Staff 1st class & Food 1st class Staff Staff on reception were very helpful and very friendly. We arrived at the hotel at 1pm they advised us to have some food and drink and would then book us in which i thought was nice, usually if you arrive at lunch time at other hotels you book in go to your room and then have food, I preferred the getting food and then book in so that was a plus They have a Guest relations desk which is a first for me as not seen this before in any hotels we have stayed in and they have been 5 Star and 5 Star Plus, This means any requests or issues are sorted with this team and keeps the reception team free The Guest Relations Gentleman was most helpful when we asked if the hotel could supply a small birthday cake for my daughters partner as it was his birthday this was sorted in minutes and arranged for in 2 days’ time (We have arranged in the passed at other hotels for birthdays and the larger ones tend to deliver it to your room at a cost) Which is not the same as when it is delivered at the breakfast on the day with people singing happy birthday which was nice I would like to give a big thank you to Odyessa he always greeted us with a big smile we found him helpful, pleasant and polite, he did this with all his guest in the area he worked. He knew when we were not there for evening meal and the next day, he always asked had we eaten in one of the other restaurants and did we have a good meal which we did We asked his advice on a rosa wine one evening he recommend 2 or 3 the one we chose off his recommendations was excellent so asked him the same the next night about a white wine and we chose one off his recommendations again excellent. He also brought the birthday cake out on the morning after we had finished eating with his college singing happy birthday. Andreas (Beach Bar) is another staff member we would like to thank due to his service and time to speak to you when serving you your drinks Restaurants Hotel Food was excellent and varied. (Main Restaurant) Evening Meal or Breakfast) Breakfast was the standard food that you get at all hotels lots of fresh fruit, meats, cheeses, pastries, Bacon, Ships, Small sausages etc, etc all to a high standard the Greek Yoghurt was exceptional. Evening Meal This was very good again varied and cooked to a very good standard. We sat at the bottom right of the restaurant for Breakfast & Evening meals, on our 1st day we were greeted by Odyessa (I apologise if I have spelt his name wrong) he showed us to a table for 4, asked if we required water and house wine. Every morning and evening that we went to the restaurant he sorted a table out for 4 straight away, I can say any person that went into his area he sorted out a table within seconds his team of staff working with him were polite and cleared away the plates quickly, Lunch Time we ate in the main Restaurant the 1st day due to the weat

From walking in late at night till going home the staff were fantastic. As we arrived late we were driven by a buggy to our room and a bottle of water, a bottle of wine, cold drinks in the fridge as well as tortillas were waiting for us. The room and communal areas were spotless and the gardens well looked after. Food in main dining areas were excellent and plenty of variety. The Greek taverna was superb and the Italian restaurant was excellent, especially the head waiter who runs the restaurant (I think he was called Stavros). We did have a problem with people using our shared pool when they shouldn’t have. This was reported and dealt with immediately. The young lady who works on customer relations will sort any problems that may arise quickly. All in all a lovely holiday

Best hotel ever! Beautiful gardens, tended carefully; lots of pools, recently renovated; cosy restaurants! Very kind staff and very helpful as well. Rooms are nice and always clean. Excellent food: always fresh, different and its variety amazes. The hotel is perfect for families with children, as well. Lots of things here are adjusted for kids’ needs. However, you can find some cosy spots to rest, if you do not like sonorous toddlers laughter…;) Well, we had a great two weeks there last fall and coming back this year for the 5th time for surely. Rooms are booked already! So, the best recommendations, compliments and lots of thanks to the lovely hotel employs, who works hard to make our stays unique!

I returned to the hotel 20 times already. The most beautiful, best, hospitable hotel in Crete. When I'm there, I feel like I'm in paradise. Responsive staff, wonderful cuisine, great bars. A large area, perfectly maintained.Location - by the sea itself.

We were returning to the Aldemar chain hotel for the sixth time, and it speaks for itself as we are very particular customers, and there is nothing to add in details. The hotel personnel is its treasure, everyone was always kind and helpful. If every customer turned to the service personnel with anything he/she thought was not quite right, it would be fixed right away. Elena Kapsokefalou is an outstanding hotel manager with true warmth of her heart. Elena, we are sending our love to you 💞 Reception and guest relations - excellent. 🤗 Every employee at the hotel we met was very professional with true Greek spirit of sincerity and hospitality to remember. We will be returning soon! ❤️

The hotel has wonderful seaview allround and sunset. The private beach is well equipped, offering lots of aquatic activities and a beach bar. Other beaches are within 3 mns walk. The manicured hotel gardens, private and two main swimming pools are dotted of beautiful bungalows, my accommodation was comfortable and serviced to a high standard each day. There is a main restaurant, a snack restaurant and 3 a la carte (unlimited access but reservations required) which offers good choices of food. I found the staff readily willing to go the extra mile to please their guests. I spent a wonderful vacation and I would like to thank in particular Irini at the reception whose welcome and assistance made me feel at home. In addition to a relation guest, hotel has an useful ap for reservations, bookings and useful information.. Thank you to each of you making the whole Greek vacation the more enjoyable! If I had a comment for the hotel it would be to keep it to a relaxing one.
