Melaka Hotels with Bars

Our second stop in Malaysia was The Majestic Malacca, and I was absolutely captivated by its vintage charm. The decor in the lobby, courtyard, and even the rooms was incredibly photogenic. It's a historic building itself, and the overall design, furnishings, and soft decor perfectly matched my aesthetic – I was so pleased! The hotel service was excellent, embodying the attentive spirit of British butler service. The staff were also very warm and welcoming, and the breakfast was of exceptionally high quality. All in all, I absolutely loved this hotel. The only minor drawback was the soundproofing, which isn't ideal and might bother light sleepers. However, compared to the beauty of the property and the outstanding service, it's a minor detail I can easily overlook.

Booked the suite and room was really big. Came with 2 queen beds and had a separate work area big enough for meals and activities 😅 Room was clean and look well maintained. No stains or whatsoever. Very pleasant stay. The hotel staff were helpful and prompt in service. We asked to clean up the room and left for breakfast immediately after. When we returned the room was all made up, neat and tidy. Breakfast was decent. Do note though, that the take-your-own-food buffet style became semi ala carte buffet because there were not enough guests while I was there. Still, it was good enough. Kids wanted to swim but the pool was a little too tiny for our liking. We did activities outside of the hotel though so not much of an issue. Location wise. If you want something right next to malls or in the heart of the jonker area, this is probably not your best choice. We take a 10 min walk to the jonker area and it was a comfortable stroll though. Quiet enough but not too near. Overall a good stay and very happy to return.

Terrific! The room spacious, ev charger is just in front the lobby, the spa - cheap and im absolutely comeback! Breakfast on average, shuttle service is convenient. Downside, not all beca want to send us back to hotel, not sure whether its too far or what. But we manage to ride beca back to the hotel from menara taming sari

We stayed here with my wife and our 2-year-old and overall the apartment itself was excellent. It was immaculate, smelled fresh, and everything worked properly. There were plenty of extra blankets and pillows, which was really appreciated as a family. The host’s communication was clear and helpful from start to finish, and the security staff were genuinely warm and welcoming. That said, the building has some issues that affected our stay. The kids’ play area on the 13th floor was under maintenance/works during our visit, so we couldn’t use it. The bigger problem was the elevators — they’re insufficient for the building, and we had a long wait (around 30 minutes) just to get down to the ground floor. One small suggestion for the unit: it would be nice to have a couple of complimentary bottled waters on arrival. If you’re booking, the suite and host are great — just be prepared for potential elevator delays and check the status of shared facilities.

This hotel is located within walking distance to Jonker Street. Built Melaka, and Stadhuy's, as well as to many cafes and eateries. While one may point to many other hotels populated there. Ibis Melaka stands out above most others with clean and working facilities and amenities. I have stayed in a number of hotels there and I can safely say that the hotel will meet the expectation of many people. The reception staffs are efficient. The cleaning staffs are hardworking. I had a restful stay there.

Writing We recently had a little staycation with our small family, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most refreshing breaks we’ve had in a while. No long travel, no rushing—just quality time together in a peaceful setting. The highlight of our stay was definitely the view. Waking up to such a beautiful, calming scenery instantly lifted our mood every single day. Whether it was early morning or just before sunset, the view never failed to impress—so serene and almost therapeutic. The apartment itself was also very convenient, especially during check-in and check-out. Everything was smooth and hassle-free, which made the whole experience even more relaxing for us. It was the kind of place where you could just slow down, enjoy simple moments, and reconnect with your loved ones. The kids had their fun, we got our much-needed rest, and everything just felt… easy. A short escape, but truly meaningful. Definitely a staycation we’ll remember and would love to repeat again.

Booked the deluxe suite which was good and big for my family of 2 adults and 2 kids. And it comes with a small living area and mini kitchen which was good for preparing foods for kids. Just one area which the hotel can improve will be that the room cleaning can be better, eg. We requested for room cleaning but when we were back, the toilet basin was not cleaned at all, stains were able to be seen, which was disappointing.

Stayed for 3 days 2 nights in a Deluxe room. The hotel is an eco friendly concept of hotel. The room is not very spacious but it has a balcony. The pool is enough to accommodate less than 20 persons. Breakfast is enough. They don't serve any chicken or beef. The only meat they serve is chicken sausage and chicken salami. Nasi lemak, nasi goreng, noodles, porridge, cornflakes, potato wedges, bread, salads, and fruits of 2 types I'll be picking the hotel next stay but will skip the breakfast. Better to find breakfast outside.

Cleanliness and location is good, very near Jonker street. Cons are security wise needs improvement cos anyone can just walk in and especially in the early morning when we came down, the Indian guy was sleeping at the counter and I doubt he knows who went in and out. The room is very spacious but they should provide at leastt a small piece of soap for hand washing. When we arrived at the hotel at about 1pm, since the rooms are available, why can't they just let us check in instead of having to wait till 3pm ( we heard there were less than 10 rooms occupied that night). I was abit unlucky cos 1st room issued to us was a room under maintenance, 2nd room given to us only has a towel and 1 cup for 2 pax in the room and the toilet flushing system broke down in the middle of the night, phone out of order and I had to climb up and down the stairs numerous times to ask for things. No lifts in the hotel.

I never write a review, but I feel sorry for the boss and I am sorry if I don’t write about it this time. Let's talk about the location of the hotel first, it's away from the Red House, Airport Street, and those attractions hahaha, I can't remember what they are called, they are all very close, only 5 minutes walk. The location is particularly great. The important point and I have to mention is that the boss is so nice. The owner is of Chinese descent, especially a very simple and very good person. We do not understand English and are free to travel. After staying at the hotel, the owner took 80 MYR and ran all the attractions. Each attraction was explained in detail, and it took 3 hours. Get acquainted with Malacca again. I really make a profit when I meet such a good boss, the price is cheap and the service attitude is good. Very enthusiastic. In short, if you go to Malacca, you must go to his house and find the boss. You will not suffer, and I believe you will give him good comments. The front desk is a local, so remember to find the boss. The most worthwhile trip. It is also the most affordable trip. I really like Malacca. Don't mention the Malays are really simple. We ran in three cities and didn't encounter a pitman. Unlike me, there are many smart people in China. Hahaha. Remember that free travellers must live in his home. Must also find the boss.
