Roomy apartment style hotel on perfect location. Everything you need and wonderfully peaceful. The Salamanca market is literally on your doorstep! Loved having a proper armchair where I could sit at the open windows looked out at the park and wharf. Note there are steps (no lift) and some noise on a Fri and Sat night. These weren’t a problem for me (in fact one night I had to window open to listen o the live music). Great shower and bath and lovely to have proper cooking facilities and a washing machine. 5 mins walk to everywhere

We had dinner at the restaurant and highly recommend it. The food was excellent and my family who are oyster nuts loved their fresh oysters. All the meals we had were of the highest quality. They have some local wines that are really nice. All the staff are brilliant and made our evening memorable. Our Scottish/Irish waiter was exceptional. Also, a shout out to the musician who had a playlist just right for me and importantly not stupidly loud such that you cannot have a dinner conversation. A must do is to visit the toilets that are a laugh - I don't want to do a spoiler, but you have to see it to believe!

Great location walking distance to everything. Lots of bars and restaurants close by. Lovely and clean and comfortable. Good kitchenette and bar fridge. We stayed on a long weekend which was a bit rowdy in the evenings. A must do is the Salamanca markets every Saturday mornings and a trip to Mt Wellington

We recently stayed for a week during the Wooden Boat Festival and could not have asked for a better location right on Salamanca Place. It was perfect for everything in Hobart with a huge selection of restaurants, bars and hotels on the doorstop, The rooms are large and quirky with a comfortable king size bed. The new management and staff are terrific !

Great recent accomodation during the Wooden Boat Festival in Hobart. The building is old and full of character with original sandstone walls, in a fabulous location in Salamanca. Each room has modern and well designed layouts including sleek bathroom features and very comfortable bed and furniture. The owner was extremely hospitable and helpful, leaving us wanting for nothing . We are from Sydney , thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will look forward to staying again . Fiona & Terry

Room was nice enough. Big comfy bed, awesome shower and decor has a cool rustic vibe and It’s also in a beautiful location. I just didn’t know it was byo fan. Thought that a 4 star joint would have provided some sort of cooling. Woke up at midnight & room was really stuffy and needed the windows open, but that led to the noise from revellers outside keeping us awake half the night. I don’t complain much, I just wanted a fan. Give the place a 4.5 if they provided it.

The room has an interesting decor with exposed original building. The patio ing between rooms was ineffective. We could hear our neighbours conversation even at normal volume, similarly we could hear their TV easily

We came for dinner while on holiday and found the menu limited. The gnocchi was very tasteless and bland. Many drinks were not available either which made choices even more restrictive. Would not be somewhere we would choose to go to again on another visit without a more varied menu.
