"The room is so spacious. Couple of gripes are i was unable to have a coffee as the kettle had seen better days and was really grubby inside. When we got out of the lift at floor 1 there was an overwhelming smell of ******** as if someone had been smoking it in their room. We just looked at eachother as it is a personal dislike of that smell. Its very distinguished and lingers - the smell remained each time we got out of the lift. Service was impeccable."

"last Visit to this Hotel was 45 years ago, some modernisation including new carpets nice touch, warm greetings from some staff, some just ignoor you , Had Breakfast one day was overpriced at ÂŁ12 the lady runing the restaurnant was brilliant , kept an eye on everything topping up what needed to be topped up , problem with lift not going to all floors they say its due to waiting for a part, I visited a Liverpool Britannia Hotel they made same excuse for years, just get it sorted .
On the trip website it says Breakfast between 7 and 9 , its now 8 and 10, also said No Children, after noticing some I asked at reception, they said that was only for a year a while ago .
When booking I did ask as bein g a big person, could I have a Shower or Access room , it doid say only of available , but nothing done or said when booking, It was nice to visit the place again but sadly there are better hotels in Blackpool not much more money, so guess wont be Visiting again for anoher 45 years, some guets I spoke to hd to see 3 or 4rooms to find one that was clean and suitable"

Nnatasha6792Fabulous stay at the Best Western Carlton in Blackpool. The staff could not have done more to help, and the lady on the front desk was so friendly and chatty. They helped immediately when they realised I had a pram, toddler and 2 bags and was alone - even changing our room to make things easier. Lovely people!
Only downside was the thin walls, meaning we could hear every word of the 4am argument in the room next door!!

Iâll start with the highlight: the staff at Blue Waters Hotel were absolutely exceptional. Warm, helpful, and genuinely friendlyâthey made me feel like Iâd wandered into a live episode of Fawlty Towers, minus the chaos. Their charm and effort were the saving grace of my stay.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself is in serious need of TLC. My roomâs curtains detached dramatically and collapsed to the floor, leaving my window fully exposed to the car park and main street. Not idealâespecially with a rather sad pile of rubbish lingering in the corner outside.
The leisure facilities didnât fare much better. The pool was cloudy and didnât feel well maintained, and the sauna was out of order during my visit. A shame, as Iâd been looking forward to a relaxing dip.
Dinner was, frankly, disappointing. We ordered roasted pork, which arrived cold, and the vegetables were so overcooked they seemed to have time-traveled from the previous nightâs menu. Breakfast offered a decent variety, but the quality was just about passable.
In short: brilliant staff, but the hotel itself needs a refreshâboth in decor and dining. If youâre coming for the laughs and location, you might enjoy it. If youâre after comfort and cuisine, you may want to look elsewhere.

GGuest UserHotel staff, facilities, food, swimming pools and entertainment were brilliant. Everything was presented really nicely in the foyer/reception area. The bedroom and carpets were really tired, however, and need a revamp to match the quality hotel foyer. We found the mattresses uncomfortably soft and didn't sleep well, so assume these were old too. A really mixed experience, but on balance the positive outweighed the negatives. The staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. Highly recommend getting tram passes on app. before you arrive as need proof of children's DOB from passport or birth certificate. The tram stop is really conveniently opposite the hotel. Excellent reliable service :-)

TTrip.com SGJPIt's a little far from Blackpool North Station, but the rooms are very spacious. It's not a super luxury hotel, but it's very clean and comfortable. There is also an elevator.
The Henson hotel is a little far from the station and downtown, so if you have a large suitcase, it's a good idea to take a taxi.
There are buses and trams running so it's fine even at night.

GGuest UserThe quality of this hotel was not great, but all we wanted was somewhere to sleep while we were in Blackpool so it served its purpose, and for the valid it was perfect.
Be aware that although the hotel says there is WiFi, it is only on the lobby and doesn't reach the rooms. We also didn't have a remote for the TV and it wouldn't work without, although we asked for one multiple times, the staff were unable to find one that worked for our TV.
The walls are very thin and you hear every noise from around the hotel. Luckily (also unfortunately) our room was the furthest away possible.
The water pressure on the shower was amazing. The hotel water on the tap comes out boiling hot straight away.
Overall, the quality of the hotel wasn't great, but for the price it was everything we needed

GGuest UserClean and tidy room, quad with private bathroom, 2 double beds. Blinds on windows instead of curtains and not blackout blinds, which left gaps in so people could see into room. Tv and tea/coffee in room. No breakfast available as no chef currently employed. ÂŁ50 cash deposit must be given on check-in which was returned with no problem after room inspection. Well stocked bar and karaoke with bingo was played on Friday and Saturday night. Parking available at ÂŁ10 a night but looked a bit risky out the back so didnât park here. Reception not always manned and can be a long wait for someone to come after pressing bell. No hot water on 2nd morning so it looks like the early risers take all the hot water. For the price for a family of 4 over easter it wasnât as bad as some reviews.

GGuest UserDecent hotel for the price. Isn't the cleanest hotel but sort of acceptable. Would recommend to those looking for a cheap stay but if you have a little extra budget then better off spending the little extra for something better. Was allowed to check out later than usual which was very beneficial to get a little extra sleep in after enjoying the night out.
