The hospitality was incredible from the moment we arrived, and the property itself is very charming. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize beforehand that guests with tattoos are not allowed in the onsen or sauna, which limited my overall experience and prevented me from enjoying it fully.

Dinner was delicious, but I was a bit surprised that at least one beer was not included, only soft drinks were, and I had to pay extra for it. The room was beautifully arranged, although the view was not very special since it faced a Daihatsu parking lot. We noticed a small detail with the cleaning, but overall everything was very good and I truly appreciated the warm service.

Decided to visit Yufuin last minute, so I booked this hotel quite late. Options were limited, but I chose this one for its Japanese garden. It's a very typical hot spring ryokan with older facilities, but the service was exceptional. They offered private car pickup and drop-off at the station. Although their English wasn't perfect, they made a genuine effort to communicate, which I truly appreciated. The food was fresh and exquisite, quite good.

We stayed in a room on the first floor with a 10-tatami mat open-air bath and a small garden. There was also an indoor cypress bath, and we enjoyed a truly luxurious and relaxing time. There were a total of four outdoor baths to enjoy, starting at midnight, and you could hear the quiet murmuring of a stream in the semi-open-air grounds. It's a very atmospheric place perfect for adults to enjoy.
The meals, both in the evening and in the morning, were extensive and elaborate, and both the taste and appearance were enjoyable, so delicious that we ended up overeating.
Both the front desk staff and the young Nakai who was with our room were polite and calm, and both were very nice.
My wife seemed to enjoy chatting with Nakai, and I was glad we chose this inn.
It's a place I'd definitely like to visit again.

I chose this place because it seemed the cleanest among the Beppu accommodations.
The room was clean, the room was spacious, and the view was amazing.
There's a private bath fee of 1,500 yen.

It felt like a business hotel.
There was only one thing I liked:
The room was spacious and clean.

The dinner buffet wasn't much different from other hotel buffets.
I was looking forward to the Oita Wagyu beef, but it was tough and the food wasn't prepared with any care.
The rest of the food was like a 3-star buffet.

There is a wonderful hot spring bath that flows directly from the source. I felt that the topaz-colored hot water had the effect of regulating the autonomous nerves and relaxing the stiffness.
The single room is clean and new and close to JR Ozai station, so it may be perfect for a solo trip for hot spring purposes.

　However, the problem is staff and management.
Even if I tried to enter the large communal bath after check-in, it was crowded with day trip bathers and washed potatoes. I took a bath the next morning because I had a plan. Check the front desk multiple times that you can take a bath the next morning.
　But the next morning, the public bath was closed with a close display.
There were other angry guests, and eventually everyone took a bath. I was impressed by the wonderful quality of the spring.

　Another thing is that you have to fill in all your address and phone numbers at check-in. When booking through online companies such as Trip.com, the hotel side has all the information, and originally it is only a signature. Or rather, it is almost the case now.
　I had a minor finger disability and had a help mark. I was in pain because my hands were not good at shaking.
　I managed to finish writing, but I had further mental pain. The staff spoke out and corrected it while saying, ”Is this 7? 3?” I cried in tears of sadness that I was embarrassed.
　I wonder if I can't see the help mark.
All of these seemed to be caused by the staff, and I felt that there was a problem with the management's lion ruler operation.
　Vijiho, which has a wonderful large communal bath that flows directly from the source, is actually quite rare. To the manager. Please acquire a customer's perspective as much as possible.
