Fantastic stay at the Green Village Bungalow! Staff is super friendly and we were offered breakfast and dinner which was a very positive surprise - all food we had was super delicious The home stay offer many tours and we joined the one to the Cai Rang floating market which was very well organized and enjoyable Overall couldn’t recommend this hotel more

We enjoyed our stay at Green Village Mekong. The hotel arranged transit from Ben Tre + to HCMC, as well as a fantastic early morning tour of the Cai Rang floating market. The location of the bungalows next to the river is perfect for relaxing and we enjoyed taking out the bikes around the neighborhood. I would highly recommend the floating market tour: floating down the river at dark and eating crab soup on the boat were some of our trip's highlights. Our guide Ni was so informative, welcoming, and helpful. Thank you!

This is a small family run accommodation, with home cooked meals and a personal touch. The family were friendly, with the 2 younger ladies having good English. The room was lovely, and although we chose an air con room which was described as being first floor and not on the water, this did it an injustice. It was up about 5 steps onto the verandah, and although the verandah wasn't sticking out OVER the water (as some of the rooms were), it was right next to the water and facing it. So we were very pleased. I guess the room was a little on the small side, but it was perfectly fine for our needs, with a comfortable bed and good air con. I don't think staff came inside the room at all during our stay, but they did leave fresh towels outside for us each day. We had fun trying out the kayaks one day, for the life of me I don't know how we didn't fall in as it was so wobbly on getting in! We also used the hotel's free bikes, which was great. They gave us a map of where to go, to get to Can Tho itself, and talked us through it to ensure we were clear. I was then able to easily follow the route on Google Maps. We really enjoyed the cycle trip, it was a good chance to venture out on our own, and to explore Can Tho. We were asked each day to confirm what time we wanted to eat, I guess with it being home cooked food it helped them to plan ahead. All food was delicious, you didn't choose from a menu - which I hadn't realised, so was a bit alarmed when food just was brought to the table on our first evening, as I am vegetarian and my husband is not very adventurous with his food! But they had remember I had noted being veggie on my booking and had done me something specially, and we both really enjoyed our food. They had an honesty system for drinks, where you helped yourself, and wrote down on bit of paper what you had consumed. Then at the end they used that to create your bill. The only small thing I'd say is that I hadn't realised from the online photos, that there is actually nowhere near the pool to sit and sunbathe. It wasn't a big deal for us, we still took a couple of dips in the pool, but had we intended to stay more nights we'd have definitely been a bit disappointed there. All in all we loved staying here, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

We only had one night sadly here but it was wonderful…great lodge on the river complete with comfy hammocks to chill out in. Lovely clean and warm swimming pool was a real bonus. Dinner was excellent quality and too much got us to eat…up at 5.30 for the floating markets tour…our guide was Ni, she was excellent. Very knowledgeable, friendly and great English language! As has been said in all reviews the people plus the location are what makes Green Village special, don’t miss it if you get chance.

We stayed here for two nights in october 2023. We’re a family from Denmark with three children aged 6, 10 and 13. If you don’t expect luxury this is a really nice place with amazing value for money. We had a room with two fans which was pretty basic and with some faults but worked okay for us. The new pool is nice and staff very friendly 🏊 what really surprised us was the great breakfast and dinner and a really cozy a**osphere. Incredible that dinner is included in the price. A morning tour to the floating marked was very interesting with a great guide 👍

A wonderful two night stay at Green Village. The surrounds are so peaceful it's a great place to relax and put your feet up. The included breakfast and dinner were both enjoyable. We took a boat ride to the floating market organized by them which has been a highlight of our trip. We had a wonderful guide and would definitely recommend the experience. The pool is lovely and the grounds are well kept. Bicycles to borrow to cycle around by the river and to the nearest market. This was very peaceful and the locals were all very friendly with lots of the children excited to say hi! We had a lovely stay and would enjoy another visit.

Our experience was as described by many of the reviews here. We stayed for two nights in September with our two young boys. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and provided meals. The boys loved the two dogs Coffee and Milky too. Staff were friendly and very kind. Agreed that a few little touches would make the stay that little bit more comfortable (ceiling fans instead of stand up fans, better sealing around the gaps of the huts and a few nice to haves in the bathrooms). The second floor of the common area could also do with a bit of life. Perhaps some games or books to encourage visitors to stay there. All in all an enjoyable and unforgettable stay.

I spent 2 nights in this hidden gem. Surprisingly, I was the only guest during my stay. The bungalows (built of concrete with bamboo as finishes) are basic but perfectly adequate. Just ensure you set your expectations right and not anticipate 5-star luxury. Each bungalow has two very large beds with mosquito nets (I'd recommend bringing your own repellent; I felt like I spent my entire stay feeding the mosquitoes). Additionally, there are two hammocks on the balcony. Dinner is included in your stay, and they offer affordable lunch options. Beer is dirt cheap. Guests can rent a bicycle and explore the village. However, be cautious as some village road/paths are under construction, and not all bicycle seat cushions are comfortable. I'd advise potential guests to book directly via their website as they offer free transfer (I opt for the Green Village driver to drop me off at a home stay in Can Tho city) I booked two tours: 1 - An evening boat tour (do note, it rained due to the monsoon season in September). 2 - An early morning tour to the floating market in Can Tho - which I highly recommend! My guide is a cute lady named Nhung, she is knowledgeable around floating market and Can Tho City market. A tip: If your driver struggles to find the place (the side road next to the bridge doesn't show on Google Maps), please call the hotel. The receptionist will assist your driver. However, there were two minor issues: 1 - I could hear karaoke music from a neighboring property at night. 2 - I'm not certain if it's feasible for the management to address this, but I believe the gaps around the front/back doors and the bathroom window should be sealed. Some bugs managed to get into my room, which was slightly bothersome.
