The service staff were great. Especially the restaurant team.. taking care of personal dietary needs.

The hotel location is the best, so close to the conference place and can walk to V&A waterfront around 20mins. Or you can take a hop on hop off bus to go around cape town, the bus stop also very close tho the hotel. But honestly the hotel is not really clean, but the room is big enough! Better ask for nee renovated room, the old one is really old, you won’t like it. And better bring your own slippers and teeth brush, cause the hotel didn’t provide but you can pay hotel to get one. The breakfast is just ok, but there is a burger king near the hotel. And need to be careful when go out, especially during night time.

BAD SERVICE AND BAD HOTEL ,OLD AND BPOORLY MAINTAINED. So the hotel staff are really unprofessional and unethical. No toothbrush toothpaste or slippers very few amenities. Staff made a mistake with my room order and then I called them to confirm the order and order another occupancy so me and my mom could be together. The room I was told was a twin room with two beds and then I called and they said I had to pay 350 extra to add another occupancy. I just flew in from abroad being very tired. Checked in and the room was one double bed, not beds as he stated and the receipt stated I told the guy at the front desk, named Rafiq or something. He was awful very unprofessional and did not know my order or bed information. He did not confirm it while checked in and told nothing. Then I confronted them and said the there is only one double bed me and my mom had to share one bed and then he said he will ask the worker to divide the bed in two. I said I'm too tired to wait for your worker to prepare the bed find me another room. The telephone in the room odd not work, the room was old and tapes were leaking and the water would go on the floor after showered. Really bad quality and bad service. After the guy gave me a key to another room and I checked it out, it was still a double bed. I was furious,I reprimanded him and complained he said he does not know the system said I changed the bed type etc made several excuses and then he said I can play a game and he will give me more keys until I find one with two beds. I asked him don't u know your own rooms, so pathetic he said his the only one on duty the evening and there is no one else and they don't know the rooms etc. Many excuses. I told him find a room immediately. He said I had to wait and he will come to find us. He was very abrupt blamed me and made excuses and finally found us a room. He came to the door my mom also complained he said it's not us and very bad tone stormed off walked away. Then the key card didn't work too. This was the worse experience ever! The food is very nice and the kitchen staff are professional and respectful but the male staff are unprofessional lazy and unethical No apologies from the hotel whatsoever and I'll never stay there again! Worse experience

Search for COSPA as Cape Town sightseeing. Great access to Cape Town station. Still, this price is acceptable with breakfast included. Breakfast is from 7:00, but even if you get it early, it's frank and gentle. There is a service that makes omelets (*grilled), yakiniku, crepes, etc. in front of you. You can also get water in the lobby on the 1st floor. Highly recommended!

I would have liked to give a full rating, but there were some points that I didn't like so much. Firstly, the location is okay, but I was told that I was being watched by a homeless person while I was trying to surreptitiously tip my guide. I wouldn't say I felt unsafe, but it does make me think twice about returning to this hotel on my own. I felt also like it wasn't really that near to anything, other than the square right beside the hotel (which was nice) and there's a halal BK right beside the hotel's restaurant, but we're not eating American fast food so....I wish I had the chance to try the hotel's restaurant besides breakfast, but I did not. I say this because my bus often had to drive in and out of this kind of long driveway every time we went somewhere. Secondly, it troubled me somewhat that the lifts didn't require card access, meaning anyone from the streets could theoretically follow me up to my room. Given that my group had been followed in Cape Town, this made me a bit nervous. I once asked to borrow an adapter because I was silly enough to not realise that my international adapter didn't have the 3 round pin plug. I was told that housekeeping will try to find one and that I would be updated, but I wasn't updated. I also discovered (from my travel buddy) that my room actually did have a 3-pin and a USB charging port behind the bedside table. It would have been nice if the front desk had just told me that, but I suppose he didn't know. For the laundry, my white dress came back with tiny brown spots/crusts - though this is really the fault of the external laundry service they use, and not really their fault per se. Thankfully it's not my favourite dress or anything. Also, I would pick up my laundry around 7 or 8 each day but would usually have to wait for the housekeeper to "bring it down", despite being told that my laundry would be ready around 6ish. They'd tell me to return to my room first, but that made me feel like I'd never see my laundry, so I annoyingly stuck around until my laundry appeared. Laundry was a lot more expensive here than Johannesburg, but at least it was transparent. On my last day, they also sort of forgot to retrieve about half of my laundry and that made me panic a bit, but they found it eventually and all was fine. I did have to check the items against the receipt though and luckily it was all captured. I'd suggest you keep the carbon copy or take a picture. The entryway had very little space to put our shoes, but the room is gigantic. I think it would be a good idea to actually have the wardrobe more inside the room rather than have all that empty space, unless it's for a rollaway bed (which was not given to me as an option but then again my tour agent was kind of dim). Then we could actually put our shoes somewhere. And because I wasn't given interconnecting rooms (I'm not sure if there are any, or if it was because of said dim agent) I would use my family's key card to access their room and sometim

The room was nothing like the pictures. Old, musty, falling to bits. This was a 1 star disgusting room. Sick plug hole was corroded, seat was coming apart, carpet was dirty. Then they started building works early in the morning waking me up. Don’t stay here.

This was my 2nd time visiting and both times the service was excellent. If there were more stars I would definitely give The Capetonian the highest rating. Honestly an awesome experience and we will definitely be back and will reccomend them to everyone.
