Stayed for five nights in total, breakfast was good. The pool is nice. Just a bit far. Gym does not provide water. Good service. But the room facilities are outdated. First night, there was blood on the towels. On the last night of my stay, at one o'clock in the morning, the tenants had a party in the room and in the aisle. The music was loud, dancing and chatting. It lasted for more than an hour. I made four calls to the front desk. I guess the hotel sent someone every time. I tried to stop it, but it didn't work at all. I didn't calm down until the fourth time. At that time, it was already two o'clock in the morning, and I didn't sleep all night.

I contacted the hotel to make a confirmation for my brother-in-law's anniversary dinner and was connected to Chamath Gamage, who supported me with a positive attitude & extended to help me out with the reservation since it was a special occasion at the hotel too where seating is limited. Thus being so Chamath reached out to Mr.Denver to seek advise. Within a span of 30 minutes Chamath called me back & confirmed informing me that the reservation is successful & the hotel could have my brother-in-law & his wife to enjoy their anniversary evening at the hotel that evening. I am grateful for Chamath for making the service matter along with a supportive team who was able to facilitate our request midst the special occasion. Great service! Nice view (Even though the construction site is seen a lot), but from the bed, it was amazing as we could see only blue sky & blue ocean side only. I didn't ask birthday cake for my wife but when we checked in, it took a bit while as the manager seemed to be a bit busy to handle our check-in and he went back and forth to check something. When we went up to the room, we found there were nice cake says ”Congratulations” and it was so touched and nice. Also as we could enjoy late check-out, we had a very good rest during the weekend. The bed is so comfy enough to pass out all night and room was clean and well managed. But above all, nothing can beat the beautiful view from the room. We definitely visit this hotel again.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean and stylish. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I've literally booked hundreds of room through Agoda. This will change. I arrived late after traveling all day to find there's been a discrepancy between Agoda and this hotel about payment. The wonderful front desk staff member named Malinda(not sure about the spelling) Told me he could see I had paid Agoda back in September, which I had. Because of some issue behind the scenes the gutless Zest managers who hide behind phones, decided to not honor my booking without contacting me. 10.30pm, raining, I'd been traveling and waiting at airports for 14 hours to be told I don't have a room. These cowardly managers wouldn't even talk to me on the phone. The hotel plus their sister hotel next door were fully booked. I'm 65 with many medical issues. I had traveled with medication which needed refrigeration or ice. This nearly being spoilt because it took 3 hours for Agoda to resolve the mistake. I eventually got to a different hotel around 1.45am. Malinda had to deal with my anger and frustrations for all that time with no help from his pathic managers. He did everything in his power to assist me and he did help showing empathy the entire time. Now imagine arriving and the pathetic hotel management canceled your booking without notifying you, a paid booking. Then that gutless management made their staff member have to deal with the upset customer. Just dreadful Zest Hotel Management. Malinda is too good a staff member to work for this horrible company. His talents should be recognized elsewhere. Never again Zest.

OK Folks once upon time this used to be one of the best hotels in Sri Lanka. That was decades ago, this is one of the very few Sri lankan government owned hotel today. This is not so luxurious to match a five star, but a pretty good hotel which fits in well for a three star. There are glitches here and there, it's an old building, you might find the hot water not working or a broken switch, pardon that, the hotel is working very hard to fix those with the little financial resources they have. The staff of the hotel are very kind and hard working. If you request them for something, they will not hesitate to try there best to satisfy your needs. The hotel has undergone a renovation recently and working hard to maintain a good menu of food. Again people are good and hard working but with the financial resources they have, there are limitations. Overall its a good 3 star hotel with a decent menu of food and really polite people. Help them by reserving your rooms with this little place which has a big history, the more guest who visit this place, the more money they get, so they can serve you better the next time your arrive. Be kind when making your reviews, try to look through the eyes of good people here who are trying to make your stay the best ever. Let encourage more people to use thus hotel so they can soon start to cater you with five star perfection.

I have been here for long vacation and untlimately ends up being in thia hotel longterm. This is hotel has no customer service, bizzar laguage been used by the receptionist cum cahsire. Managemt dont care about the customers, they all belive what the reseptionests says. No water, literally there is no water . Specifically towerds in the evening No hot water at all. If you need to have a wash you must call the receptionist and inform . The evilish receptionist name call Janani calls you at 7.30 am and if there is adelay then thats theend of the story. They charge big but not nevern giving daily complimentry water bottles even. If you stay for one night and the bed.linon is good then they will flip the covers upside and down and prepare fro the next customer airrivals. Complimentry towels offerd to customer is beenused to wipe the toilet .customer used towels been used to cleen toilet.floors after wasing the lavatory . No room.service for two days . As per hotel policy they dont change or clen the rooms for days if customer staying. Broken toilet equipments. Most of the rooms in the hotel has cheap hotel itmes such as ,beds and stiff sprin metress ,toilet equipments and ect .is not upto a standerd . Dingy elivator workes sometime and sometine its dont . Per room.one bedsheet and two soft pillows have been given even if there is two custowes stay at room. Overall this place is a horrifying experiance for me .though you have paid money, this is a place you cant expect customer service , they priorities money on the meantime customer is been treated very very bad . Starting from managemnt to ground level staffs . Last but not least price point they selling such a low scaled hotel really high. hence i would like to request tripasvosor to re evaluate the service standerds .

Before the end of the holiday, we still planned to stay in Colombo for one day before leaving, so we still booked this hotel and checked in at ten in the morning. Since the guests had just checked out, we needed to wait for cleaning, so we sat on the side while the staff sent us there. The juice was served, just when the mouth was dry, the juice was like a timely rain. After a while, a manager said that cleaning would take some time and invited us to have a buffet breakfast. We politely declined, after all, it was a bit expensive, and then we went to the mall downstairs to eat. We bought something and just came back. The manager asked us if he could buy us a cup of coffee. We happily accepted it and were very touched at the same time because the wait was caused by our own early check-in, but the hotel tried to save us from the long wait. It's not pleasant to do so much, thank you very much
