Resort Hotels in Dali

First, location is 2nd to none. Our room faceed directly to the lake, and can see the sun rise unobstructed. Many seasonal birds are stopping (prob part of migration), so the scene is very lively. The room/hotel has modern simplistic cement decor, pretty good design. Our butler/drive (大壯r） picked up at a nearby parking lot (costs around RMB50/day) and also help with luggage to our room, a great guy. Breakfast is pretty good with good amount of food and variety. Night time the hotel offers some desert Hotel is a short walk to the ancient town (I recommend just walk as u can find many shops and restaurants and a lot of stylish coffee shops with great lake view).

We enjoyed our stay here. It was in the quiet part of the old town and close to the road where you could get a taxi out. Very convenient. Service was also great and the staff helped us out with some challenges we had with the Chinese online booking systems eg for train tickets. The soundproofing didn’t bother us so much as it was low season so not a lot of noise. The only tiny thing was that there were ants in the room so you couldn’t leave food lying around and had to be careful where you left your belongings.

It should be the best hotel in the ancient town. The location is excellent and conveniently located in the center of the ancient town. The ancient town is basically dominated by inns. This one has 90 rooms and is considered a large hotel. The decoration is very careful, the hardware facilities are good, and the bathroom is a new Kohler model and the overall quality is very high-end. Dali in this season is suitable for enjoying life slowly. The three-story sky garden is very good, and the fourth-floor rooftop is even better. It has a great view of the entire ancient city of Dali. When checking in, Xiaoyue, Xuemei, and Xiaozhou who picked up the luggage, all the service staff greeted each other, which was very good. Like them 👍

I've been busy and this review is long overdue but I'm writing because I believe more people deserve to know about Fairyland Homestay, an impeccable homestay option. After returning from my trip and sharing my photos with others, people have been asking me which city this homestay service is located in, how to make a reservation with them, and how I liked my time there. Everyone wants to come for their quality service and gorgeous views! You don't even need to use filters for your photos because they already look as beautiful as your Instagram feed. They go above and beyond with their service too. Ever since I landed my foot there, I've never had to carry my luggages and they even picked me up from the airport. It has been very sweet of them to offer us afternoon tea and nighttime milk and they give you flower pastries when you leave. Their breakfast has also been unforgettable. Not only does it look good, it also tastes delicious. The rooms are quiet, clean, safe, and conveniently controlled by the Xiaodu (小度) home system. Couldn't ask for a better experience! You will love this place!

The room is very clean and tidy, there is no odor, and the young lady at the front desk is also very enthusiastic to help with luggage! High performance-price ratio! It is highly recommended to stay, the scenery opposite the inn should not be too beautiful 😍The small details in the hotel, the boss specially printed out the recommended places to eat, drink, and shop nearby. The public area in the living room on the first floor is beautiful. Meals and afternoon tea are all priced at 80 cents➕, and the attitude of the service staff is also acceptable. It’s very tiring to hold things. Secondly, the position of the TV is very strange. Although you installed a stand that allows it to adjust the angle, it is still very uncomfortable to watch TV. Moreover, such a big room has such a small TV. I don’t know what to think. Third, Dyson’s hair dryer is super dirty and broken. For charging me 2,711 per night, can you really not afford to replace it with a new one? fourth. Mirror design. The mirror and the floor-to-ceiling window are completely parallel, which means that when you look in the mirror, there is backlight, and you can't see your face clearly while putting on makeup. You have to put your face in front of the mirror and feel dizzy after putting on makeup. The reason why I gave 4 stars for the service is because the staff did nothing wrong and didn't want to embarrass them. We changed to a 1200 hotel the next day. Although the sea view in the public area is not as good as yours, the room is really 10 times better. So I'm even more angry...

When I entered the door, I saw two cute cats working. It is said that they are a family of four. I didn't pay attention when I booked it, but it turned out that there was breakfast. We LOVED this hotel! For those visiting Dali, I highly recommend staying on this side of the lake if you’re interested in being right on the water. We stayed on both sides and thought this old town was less commercial, more relaxing and had easy access to beautiful bike path along the lake. As for the hotel, it was simply relaxing. They built the rooms in a way that gives you an unobstructed sunset view of the lake with privacy and no distractions. The room is so spacious with a huge circular bathtub right by the balcony that overlooks the lake facing sunset. Yes, the other reviews are true that there are common space photo shoot opportunities at this hotel but we didn’t find it a nuisance at all. We are not selfie/photo shoot people and those who did take some pictures were not intrusive nor could they see us or us them from our room. Those common spaces were actually quite cozy and comfortable and at most times, empty! The breakfast and evening treats were also tasty. The service was good and I have absolutely no complaints! I would love to return for another relaxing stay. This spot exceeded our expectations!
