Hotels near Mary Beale Restaurant & Terrace Bar in Enfield

The rooms were compact , but more then adequate. I found the layout of the place quirky. My only grip was the mattress was too soft and there were only two pillows. Which were flat.

We have been to West Lodge’s Mary Beale restaurant on many occasions and it never disappoints whether it is lunch, dinner or afternoon tea. We went for a special birthday lunch and had a fabulous meal in delightful surroundings. The atmosphere is of quality high standards but without being stuffy or snooty. The staff are friendly with attention to detail and quality service. The food is always delicious; beautifully cooked with fantastic ingredients. Excellent wine cellar with knowledgeable sommelier. This is a great alternative venue for a special event with a gifted pianist in residence on some days and unobtrusive background piano sound track on others. Take time to walk around the unusual arboretum with its unique collection of trees and enjoy the artwork in the building. Some dishes are expensive but there also mid price options and set menu options to keep the price reasonable. The hotel is also a fabulous wedding reception location, nice rooms and the option to arrive by helicopter!! We will go again to enjoy our next family celebration.

To whom it may concern I wish to complain about my experience with the Canary Wharf point A hotel on the 24th of March. I was very disappointed with the service and lack of professionalism members of staff showed me and my friends during our short time at the hotel. Firstly, we got told to turn the music down which I totally understand and respected, after turning the music right down we get another knock on the door and once again it was security and a female member of staff claiming we were doing drugs and smoking (which really upset and offended me as I have recently lost a close friend to drug use). I offered them to come and search the room to prove we had no drugs and weren’t smoking but they were having none of it and told us we had to leave. To make it even worse they also made my other two friends leave who were in a totally separate room with no reason or evidence of this supposed drug use and smoking. I tried explaining that we have travelled from Sunderland and would be stranded with no where to stay but I was ignored and told to leave. Before we left the same female member of staff told us the manager has told them to make us leave she then gave us a card with a number to get hold of the manager which we rung immediately after leaving. If our experience with the hotel and service wasn’t bad enough, we then get told on the phone there’s no manager in the building which makes me believe the manager never told anyone to kick us out. In total we spent around 2 hours in the hotel and when I asked about getting a refund I got totally blanked and ignored. I have also emailed Canary Wharf point A hotel to express my disappointment with how we were treated but have not received a reply at this moment. The Edison is as good as ever and of such quality. Hotels in London are too expensive, so I booked the cheapest room type. On the downside, there is no view from the window. This hotel has a great feeling, the entrance is very beautiful, but there are many bars around at night, it would be scary to walk on foot. The toiletries are still specially customized by le labo. In the morning, the downstairs smells like coffee, and when you come back at night, it smells like le labo the noir, which is very comfortable. The room is fully equipped, the toilet is fully surrounded by rain, and there is mineral water. The light switch is also very delicate.

Such a Great Location & the Staff is Amazing! It’s located right next to Kings Cross & Coal Drop Yards which is convenient. Check in is simple & they even let you leave your luggage for free if you get their early & after your check out. The staff is so kind, to the front desk, Maintenance, Cleaning Crew & Management. I love how the beds you can change the color of the Lighting. There are plugs for your phone & a locker to store your stuff. Also a bar to hang socks or a Towel. They have a huge lounge area where you can chill or work & a kitchen. Pretty big kitchen, great way to save $ while traveling! Bathrooms are always clean & always hot water. They have events throughout the week which is great for connecting with new people. You can tell the staff is like family here & genuine souls! Definitely suggest checking out this Hostel when traveling to London! My next trip into London, I’ll definitely be staying here. 💚

Last minute change due to a late cancellation at another hotel and i was generally pleased overall except for no window , but that's a minor gripe . Overall a clean friendly hotel and would stay again if offers were on .. Thanks 🙂
