I normally don't write reviews, but after the experience my friends and I had here for my birthday, I had to write one and I wish I had known about this place and their spa sooner. First and foremost, while the historical looking hotel is great and the service was fantastic, the amenity and service that stood out the most was the spa. It's intimate and immaculately kept and the service reflected that, being customized to our preferences perfectly. Carol, the spa manager, was nothing less than amazing! She was patient and accommodating, with any last minute changes and requests being taken care of without issue and with such a friendly demeanor! We had several requests and needs and she was able to ensure it all happened seamlessly. Even better, it was the absolute best massage we all had ever had; this coming from someone that has higher standards than most when it comes to spas, given that I've been to more than I can count. I'm ecstatic to have found a fantastic spa and am really glad that my colleague recommended her; I can see why she came so highly recommended. Oh, and the pool was perfect! It's on the second floor, so it feels nice and tucked away from everything else so there's no bothering foot traffic or other facilities that hinder it. This was the most memorable event we have had in a long time and we can't wait to celebrate again for another event, and definitely for the next birthday!

I travel to Houston about 4 days every other week. So understand that is close to 100 days a year. At 400-500 a night that’s not chump change and should be something worthy of a repeat or loyal customer rating. The first few trips I was acceptable of the poor services and the poor room location in the building. As I repeated trips I asked to be booked in a better location (nothing significant just a higher room and simply to not look at the building dumpster) and in such I asked for a proper way to book and recognize my loyalty to this aging property. I had stayed at other Giorgio properties over the years in my thousands of nights “on the road” and had some great experiences. I didn’t overly chose this hotel it just happens to be very convenient to my destination and of course a LHW. Well, after 6-7 visits I actually got “pissed” as I received another dumpster room. The property has about 122 rooms of which maybe…10?? look at the dumpster? I did not pick the “ada” or cheep room. AMEX books a suite…..I was told my reservations all come in under different profiles and they don’t know my preferences. Well, same AMEX card for 30 years so not sure how they can’t track profiles. Do they even have a way to track? I have book through AMEX travel for the last 20 plus years. Anyway. Get your act together or lose 100 days a year. I will give it one more chance in two weeks otherwise there are many, many other point earning options in Houston as close to good food and good activities. Without change this aging property will die on the vine. As a LHW member I think I’ll reach out to them as well-but by no means are they really LHW anyway as that is a pay to participate program. Rooms are larger and with 4-5 days in a hotel I do like the space. But I’ll give up space for some respect and service very soon. Good luck Georgio.

The hotel location is very good, in a very downtown place. Opposite gallaria, next to walgreen, shopping and eating are very convenient. Parking is definitely expensive and hotel services are also expensive. This is the US.

When I arrived, I was welcomed friendly, my room was upgraded. After not staying here for a few years, it felt like old, home. The hotel is located in the centre of Houston Westheimer, near the highways and the vein, where many good quality restaurants are located at short distance. Restaurant has good kitchen if necessary and extensive a la carte breakfast. If I visit Houston, I prefer this hotel, good price / quality ratio

I checked in, unpacked and settled in only to find out that the toilet didn't work. The valve was turned off and looks as though it had been leaking. I turned the valve back on, but still no water. I went to reception and was told that I could use the public restrooms on the first floor, as there was no one on premises that could repair it, really? I asked for another room and it was disgusting with food scraps everywhere and no sheets, went back again and got another room, this room had no A/C, I went back again. The response was; ”so what are we doing here, do you want ANOTHER room?'. As if I was really bothering this guy by wanting a working room. Finally the fourth room was fine. It took over an hour of my time to do all this and there was not even a hint of an apology or sign of remorse of any kind. I get that this guy was alone on second shift, but this is a direct reflection of the hotel's management. At check out, I was never asked how my stay was. Horrible! Stay away.
