"The hotel is the white house shown in the first picture. The room was quite small, but the breakfast was decent and pretty abundant. It's located in the middle of town, close to the church. Overall, the value for money is alright. Zermatt has tons of hotels, so there are many choices, but very few are available for booking on Ctrip."

"The room was incredibly spacious with breathtaking views from the window. The bathroom had a bathtub, and the shower pressure was surprisingly strong for a high-altitude location, which was very comfortable. The breakfast and dinner, included with the stay, were different every day and delicious. Catching the sunrise in the morning is an exclusive experience for guests, and on the last day, I even got to see the 'Morgenrot' (alpenglow), which was absolutely amazing. On Thursday evenings, there's a free stargazing event with commentary from University of Bern researchers, where you can admire the beautiful night sky through the hotel's top-floor telescope."

"This hotel is absolutely fantastic! Our room directly faced Hongfeng Peak, and the setup with one large bed and one small bed was perfect for our family with two children. The service was excellent too. The hotel offers a golf cart service to pick up guests and their luggage from the train station, and the same goes for check-out – just contact them in advance. The freshly squeezed juice at breakfast was delicious, and the swimming pool was amazing, even featuring hot spring baths. It's also conveniently located not far from the main street, making shopping a breeze."

"Just a few minutes' walk from the train station, turn right onto the main street, then right again into a small alley. You'll see a sign that says 'Hua Yuan' and you're there. The front desk is in a hotel diagonally across the street (see my first picture). The room was decently spacious, and the facilities were alright. Breakfast was also fine. The main entrance has an automatic sensor, but if you enter after 11 PM, you need to input a 4-digit password and then press a small bell icon. The elevator is quite old-fashioned (second picture); you have to manually pull the door open and closed."

"The location is excellent and conveniently within walking distance of the main street, the Bahnhof, and several scenic viewpoints. The lovely ladies at the front desk kindly helped us prepare the sofa bed as a separate bed, so my friend and I didn’t have to share one. We stayed on the fifth floor, and the view from our windows was beautiful, you can even watch the sunrise over the Matterhorn. Breakfast was simple but sufficient, and we also appreciated being allowed a late check-out. The only downside was the shower, as the water temperature would suddenly become very hot without warning, which was quite shocking and uncomfortable."

"The resort has a brand new feel overall. It's super close to the train station, just a 5-minute walk, which makes getting to the Matterhorn really convenient. Plus, it's closer to the viewpoint than other hotels. The room had a very cozy vibe. However, I wouldn't stay here again, and here's why: 1) There's no hot water during peak shower times in the evening, so I had to wait until morning to shower, and I felt sticky and uncomfortable all night. 2) The Matterhorn view was obstructed by two trees, and I don't think rooms with obstructed views should be sold at the same price as those with an unobstructed view."

"For a truly memorable stay in Zermatt, look no further than the Traditional Julen Hotel. We travelled throughout Switzerland, and the view from our Matterhorn room was hands down the best we experienced. Waking up to that iconic peak every morning was simply breathtaking. The service at the Julen is impeccable. The staff is incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to meet every need we had, making us feel truly welcome. Speaking of needs, be sure to grab a bite at their downstairs restaurant. The food is excellent, though the space is a little on the cozy (some might say claustrophobic) side. Don't let that deter you, though - the culinary experience is well worth it. Overall, the Traditional Julen Hotel is a fantastic choice. Splurge on the Matterhorn room for an unforgettable view, and rest assured knowing you'll be taken care of by a truly exceptional team. Highly recommended!"

It offers great value for money, especially considering it's newly renovated. I would definitely return for another stay."

Being able to see the Matterhorn from our room's terrace was absolutely amazing and incredibly moving! The tea time offered delicious tart cakes and coffee, and the variety of saunas was impressive. Our relaxation time was truly fulfilling. This is definitely a hotel I'd love to stay at again. The staff were also bright and kind, making it a wonderful memory for our trip.

This hotel is our lucky hotel! We ended the bitter wind and rain in Switzerland here and finally saw the Matterhorn! This hotel itself is also great. The interior layout and design are very cleverly using the elements of the Matterhorn. Moreover, we only made a temporary reservation at 6 or 7 last night. The lady at the front desk upgraded our room type. The room is so big and has a large balcony. There are free coffee and tea in the room. Their breakfast is also great. Because I was in a hurry to go up the mountain in the morning, I didn’t take any photos, but the breakfast is very rich, with various fresh fruits such as strawberries and kiwis, freshly fried meats such as bacon and grilled sausages, as well as vegetables such as broccoli and mushrooms, as well as various breads, juices and milk, and even freshly squeezed orange juice. You can also go to the bar and order a cappuccino. In short, you can eat very satisfying! The best thing is that this hotel also has a pick-up service. We originally had to drag the big box to the train station for more than ten minutes, and the small car took us directly there. It took a few minutes and arrived super fast! I promise that I will definitely stay at this hotel next time I come to Zermatt!

I stayed for 3 days in this small, car-free town, and this was by far my favorite hotel in Switzerland. It's close to Zermatt station, and while the breakfast options weren't extensive, they were delicious. There's a little path behind the hotel that leads up to see the black-nosed sheep, which was a nice bonus! I'd definitely stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The excellent service rendered by the staff made our honeymoon much sweeter. Everyone was friendly, kind and always willing to help. Room was really nice and the extra sauna and open concept bathtub was a nice surprise! Breakfast spread was super delicious as well. Facilities like the wellness area include foot bath, infrared chairs, jacuzzi etc.

Location was right in the middle of the city, super convenient! Nearby the Zermatt main station, as well as Gornergrat station! Supermarkets were walking distance away, and even food options were many like macdonalds, western food, etc. the receptionist was warm and friendly and even extended us for an early check in when rooms are available. The hotel was overall very cozy and clean, suitable for a short stay. The necessities are provided like soap, towels, hair dryer, tissue! Just note that there is no fridge in the room if that was your concern. Other than that, perfect stay!

Enjoyed the stay at the hotel, highly recommended. Hotel staffs were friendly and made a little hotel tour to let us know the facilities. Room arranged by the hotel was great with fantastic Mountain View. Breakfast spread was better than expected. Do note that hotel room does not come with aircondlting. It was alright as we kept the balcony door opened with natural cool airflow.

This was a really lovely hotel, spacious and clean, with great access from the station. However, since this hotel doesn't have a reception, you need to check in at their partner hotel, which is about a 5-minute walk away. I also stored my luggage at the partner hotel, and it was a very smooth process. They have dishes, detergent, an oven, and more, so it seems like you could easily buy groceries at a supermarket and cook here.

Clean and spacious room. The staff were very helpful. Helped me with the travel adaptor. Had the 3 course dinner there. Very reasonably priced and the food was delicious - chef brought the main course to the table. The view of Matterhorn at different tines of the day was breathtaking from the front of the accommodation.
