Life Span Hotel Taksim

Arrived late after delayed flight,staff were great and helpful,room was great 👍

Not a good hotel if you want sleep.  This is difficult to write because the service here is fantastic. So kind & friendly. Especially the night staff.   However it is almost impossible to sleep. I managed to get a decent sleep because I was tired daily and use good quality ear plugs. However on Friday and Especially Saturday night the nightclub music is so so loud. Not good for light sleepers or children.  The neighbors are also noisy with doors being banged constantly at 2am and shouting.  The bed is comfortable, pillows aren't.  Shower very basic but fine. Toilet way too small.  Wifi is decent. Wardrobe, chair, kettle & hairdryer and fridge.    It's clean but the building is old and falling apart. There was a rat in the cupboard.  However, there are positives.   The location is great for night life and restaurants.  Main Taksin Street is a few mins away and the Galata Tower is around 10 mins.  Bus stops are nearby too.  Airport bus (havabus) is around 15 mins walk away.  Tons of good eateries around.  The barbershop next door is excellent and gave me some good trea**ent.  And again the staff at the hotel are so friendly. For the price (around 30 euros) a night I'm not sure you could find better, but basically if you don't want to sleep much and party then it's a good choice. If you want early nights then look elsewhere.

My room was on the top floor. 80 steep steps up, but I needed the exercise. There's no elevator. Otherwise, the hotel was perfect. No complaints, and I would easily choose to stay there again.

The hotel is located in the very heart of Istanbul, just next to the main attractions, which is super easy to get anywhere. The room is equipped with absolutely everything you may need for your trip and very clean. But last and foremost the staff in the hotel do their job just above and beyond hospitality. Especially I would like to mention Atilla who was been an extraordinary host who has helped me in so many ways, I cannot appreciate such a warm welcome more! 100% would recommend this hotel to stay in Istanbul!

Pictures are misleading, this is a lower end properry with an absolutely brutal spiral staircase to reach the other floor. Do not pass over or discount the narrow and steep staircae, it is formidable

There is not lift at the hotel and reception counter is at 2nd floor. it is difficult for old age people to go by stairs without any lift at the 2nd floor at reception or at 3rd or 4th floor for rooms.
