Wyndham Istanbul Old City

Laleli Istanbul|0.61km from Sevgispor AŞ
We stayed there last week of August 22 and encountered a number of issues. Firstly, our room wasn't ready the first night and we were given to separate rooms which split our family up. I wasn't happy about this but we had no choice. What was alarming that during our stay, I observed atleast 5 other families having similar issue as you can't help not noticing people complaining when you walk past reception. I think this is a scam by the hotel as they encourage the booking, take the money then the first night you not in the room you paid for. Also the photos on booking.com is a complete lie. The room we stayed in did not look anything like what was portrayed on the site. We booked two double beds but one of them is a sofa bed! Not comfortable and we did raise this but hotel couldn't care less. They couldn't offer us another room so we had no choice to accept it. Moving on, the stay itself was pleasant enough. Breakfast was decent (but orange juice is cordial!), swimming pools sauna steam rooms were great. There is also a huge jacuzzi bath which was nice. Hotel is located 10 mins walk to grand bazaar and 5 mins walk to nearest tram. Cleanliness is poor. I would rate 2 out of 5. Cleaner was in and out like a flash. Didn't do floor etc. I looked under bed and dust has been collecting for months and not cleaned. Overall ok hotel but expensive for the service we encountered. Would I return? Probably not unless hotel can improve its cleanliness and customer service. I should have been offered some sort of refund for the first night and the sofa bed.

We stayed for two weeks in this hotel.The manager, Mr.Senol was active all the day in the hotel and with him team tried to optimize the stay of every guest: all was clean, the breakfast served in optimum conditions, all instalations worked perfect: air conditioned, hot water, shower, etc. The room (around13 sqm+5sqm the bathroom) was dotated with air conditioned, fridge, hair dryer , tv set, free internet connection working perfect, safe.All the furniture is like new. A kettle is not necessary, because in the lounge you can serve a tea all the day, for free.The zone is very safe and the atmosphere is tipically Balkanik. From the new airport you can take the bus HAVAIST to Yenikapi( 18 turkish liras-must buy an Istanbulkart-around 7 liras) and get off at Aksaray.You cross the street and the hotel is at 70-80 meters. The hotel is situated at a walking distance of the most important objectifs of Istanbul. We'll return with pleasure to this hotel in our next trip to Istanbul.

The location is by far the best. Next to market, opposite to tram station. 5 mins walking from old bazaar. Market, restaurants everything. Frankly speaking i was not impressed with the rooms that looked way better on the internet than the actual ones. Decent breakfast and you might need to pay if you want an Omelette or your choice of egg {15Lira only}

The hotel is close to the elevated and land railway transportation is very convenient, but because of this, there is indeed a little noise, but the noise-proof windows are really soft. The noise is very attentive and friendly at the front desk when we say we don’t know where to eat at night. He also introduced the nearby restaurants intimately and said that when we asked to eat at the restaurant upstairs, he would help us to see if there is anything to eat and arrange for us very well! Room hygiene is also good, it is suitable for friends and couples to travel together, a small recommendation

-The location is very good, it is convenient to go anywhere (get off the Havaist 12 Aksaray and walk in the opposite direction of the traffic, go to the bottom of the bridge and then cross the road. The hotel is right on the street, but it is not noisy) -The staff are very nice and helpful (one guy at the front desk can speak English, but he doesn’t know much about the others, but he can probably understand it by swiping with his hands). When I arrived at the store at around 6 o’clock in the morning, they actually made a room available for me to check in. Great! ) - Western breakfast, the pancake is delicious, I also made yogurt sauce, and it’s great with French fries. -The room is not big and a little crowded, but a 28-inch suitcase can still be unfolded All in all, I had a pleasant 2 nights. I hope this helps you.
