bad customer service!! very rude, no kitchen like advised. no hair dryer Mattress with stains broken beds and when asked to move blamed us and didn’t do anything about moving us!! Spoke rudely about us the only positives are the nice bathrooms they have and how close it is to the town.

Not the usual warm welcome that we have had in Wales. Firstly they wanted cash up front on arrival which was very odd and untrusting. Rooms were small and basic and in need of updating and thorough cleaning. Once they had our money we received no service at all with the bell to the reception area not answered on several occasions and when asked for a hairdryer (as none in rooms) was told ‘this is a guesthouse not a hotel’; have never before been in a guesthouse where there was not a hairdryer in the room. If you want a quiet place to stay this is not for you as there was a lot of drunken revelry well into the early hours.

Stayed here Tuesday night and must say was greeted with a very warm welcome buy couple of beautiful ladies. Checked into my room which could not fault The room was spotless and very cozy. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I would not rate this as a 5! The website is not up to date and they do not do breakfast. Also when we got there we were to pay cash which we were not made aware of. The proprietor was very nice and friendly. Lots of stairs so not ideal if you’re disabled. The rooms themselves were clean and tidy. The bathroom was extremely cramped and if you were a large man or lady I’m not sure you’d get in. The door was broken on the bedside cabinet and the bedside light didn’t work! The bed though was lovely and comfortable and the bedding was clean although it was stained in places. The room was a little bit shabby! The room was £75 for the night, so it was cheaper than a lot of places that I saw. I do think the website is misleading and when I questioned the proprietor about the breakfast (there’s a review about how lovely the breakfast is!) she told me that the previous proprietors had not taken the website down! Good location.

£85 cash only, payable on arrival - before even seeing the room. Very cramped room - obviously recently decorated, but the single bed virtually blocked the entrance to the en-suite, so much so the door had been removed and replaced with a bi-fold door which you cant close from inside the en-suite. The double bed was comfortable, but because the TV was high on the wall alongside the bed you cant watch TV in bed. There was a comfortable chair in the corner of the room. Plenty of wardrobe and draw space. The room really needs ‘real’ curtains as well as the white vertical blinds (not small decorative pieces). By 4am the room was so light we thought we had overslept. En-suite - shower just a trickle. Very hard to wash your hair. Cabinet over the small sink makes it impossible to put your head over the sink to spit when brushing your teeth. Only mirror in the room was in the en-suite, so with no window the only light is the 2 bulbs over the mirrors. Not ideal for putting make-up on. Surprised to find no hairdryer. Location ideal for Porthcawl promenade, and car park directly opposite. Glad we were only there for one night - and would recommend it for an overnight stay only - but negotiate the price.

This is a lovely guest house, close to the local shops and the beach. Delyth and Clive are wonderful hosts, such a lovely couple. I would highly recommend a stay here and hope to visit again soon. Thanks.

My partner and I stayed here with our 9 month old son for a few nights. Room was very clean, warm and bright and spacious. Clive and delyth were fantastic hosts. Very friendly and absolutely amazing with our son. Loved spending time with them and can't wait to return

Situated a short walk from the sea front , close to bars restaurants,& shops . We had a really warm welcome from the host of this lovely accommodation, Clive & Delyth Thank you for looking after us , we had a lovely warm , clean and bright room at the front of the house , we only stayed one night for a special occasion, we would stay again . Just had a lovely nights break celebrating birthday party staying with Clive and Deltyh perfect spot , clean ideal what we where looking for 1st class welcome Delyth Clive made us fell so Welcome think we been to this B and B 8 times perfect missed Clive famous Welsh breakfast but rules are rules x They both went over and above to make our stay ideal x see you sept x
