Let me start by saying we paid 45 USD per night for this hotel. I know that is not so expensive, but for 50 USD, you expect a lot more than what we got. We stayed there the night before, and the night after, our Mt Kinabalu hike. The first night was okay - despite a lengthy check-in process and the fact that our room had no windows (the A/C worked fine). However, after we came back from our hike, we paid an extra 12 dollars (!!!) so we could at least have a window. Still all fine. However, being extremely sleep deprived we fell fast asleep at 8pm, only to be woken up at 10pm by someone RINGING THE DOORBELL to our room and I don't even know why a hotel room would have a doorbell. We didn't even begin to care why staff would ring our doorbell at that time and luckily we fell right back asleep. When we woke up we realized they had also slipped a note under our door saying the pump had broken and there was no water. That's it. No bucket, no 'would you like to get the heck out of here', no nothing. Thus, I went downstairs and begged for a bucket at least (you would think they would have brought this immediately - I'm actually no stranger to staying in places without running water). The guy then offered me some nasty bucket from the lobby bathroom that had been sitting next to the toilet. No thanks. He then told me to be patient, and two hours later, a small bucket was brought to our room. Thanks, we are checking out now. For this inconvenience, they refunded the 12 extra USD we had paid to upgrade to a window. Wow, thanks a lot. For a hotel room with NO WATER meaning we could not shower nor use the bathroom nor even wash our hands, one should at least be given a free stay (or a voucher or something). In the end we ended up being charged 45 USD for a hotel room with no water. Completely unacceptable.

Great location but lack of parking space. The room that I got unfortunately not clean and have army of ants. The shower head is broken so the water is splashing everywhere. The bathroom door can’t be locked cause got no door knob. You get what you paid for.

After comparing several sea view apartments in the city center, I chose their romantic sunset sea view apartment. The main reason is that the arrival time of the flight was already midnight, so I arranged an airport pick-up with the landlord, which saved us the trouble of how to drive to the apartment and check in. The host, CK, helped us with all the check-in procedures in advance, and took us directly to the door of the apartment after picking us up from the airport. The next morning, I was woken up by the lively sound of the fishing pier. When I opened the curtains, the large glass balcony faced the pier, and I could see the blue sea while lying on the bed! Facing the setting sun in the evening, it’s like lying on the bed and blowing the air-conditioning to enjoy the top ten golden sunsets in the world! The location of the apartment is very convenient. You can meet all your travel needs within a five-minute walk, especially the must-eat Internet celebrity food, and five minutes to the Fisherman's Wharf Bar Street. It's a pity that we only arranged to stay for one night this time, and we must come again next time!

The location of the hotel is very convenient for travel. It is next to the Kota Kinabalu Central Market, the handicraft market and the night market. It is a 10-minute walk to Gaya Street and a 20-minute walk to the Jeston Pier. The room facilities are a bit old but clean and tidy. The boss is very nice and helped us to get the Grab car to the airport.

The room is very clean and cool. It's just that the water in the toilet is a little slow, but the staff has told me it's ready. So far, can go again next time.

The location is convenient, it has plenty of good spa and restaurants nearby, however, it was too close to the fish market, you can smell the fish once you left the lobby. The overall hygiene is fine, bedsheet and towel are in very good condition, however, there are quite a lot of strains in the surfaces of toilet, also the shower room. And I found some ants at a corner of the room. The facilities are good, swimming pool and the rooftop bar are decent. All staff I have met are nice and friendly.

Location is right smack in the old town with a 3 min walk to the Filipino Market and literally a stone's throw to the best pork noodles in KK, cleanliness is immaculate (The staff kept cleaning and cleaning all the time) and the value of the accommodation is one of the most feasible in KK. But most of all, it's the staff: Leo, Cynthia, Vivian and the Malay lady that speaks fluent Mandarin (Sorry for forgetting your name) are the best staff to help you when you come to KK. They helped us arrange extra storage for our big backpacks, lent us their personal rice cooker when we needed something to cook with, helped keep the precious rice wine yeast and tapai we bought from the Sabah interior for 2 weeks, helped us with amenities, moved us to a bed that we liked, recommended great places to eat, etc. etc. When we come back to KK, this is the first place we'll stay!
