My recent stay at The Pacific Sutera Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Despite only spending 2 days and 1 night at the hotel, the level of service I experienced was truly top-notch. From the moment we stepped into the lobby until our departure, every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations. The hotel's attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the cleanliness of the facilities to the overall ambiance, which contributed to a memorable and enjoyable experience. However, what truly set this stay apart was the outstanding service provided by the hotel staff. I must make a special mention of one staff member whose name unfortunately escapes me. She mentioned that she has been a part of the hotel's team for the past 20 years, and her dedication to her work was palpable in every interaction we had with her. Her genuine friendliness, warmth, and professionalism enhanced our stay and left a lasting impression. I believe it would be wonderful if the hotel could consider acknowledging her dedication and exceptional service with a bonus or some form of recognition. Her commitment to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of guests like myself deserves commendation, and such gestures would not only serve as a token of appreciation but also motivate her and other staff members to continue delivering outstanding service. Overall, my experience at The Pacific Sutera Hotel was nothing short of fantastic. I look forward to returning in the future and experiencing the hotel's hospitality once again. I've had the privilege of staying in numerous Shangri-La's throughout Southeast Asia, and this particular one felt somewhat dated and in dire need of modernisation. I could see signs of improvements in progress, with sections that appeared to have already received a facelift. On my first day, I ventured to the sauna, only to find the temperature so lukewarm that I couldn't even work up a sweat. I voiced my discontent, and I'm pleased to report that the issue was addressed promptly by the next day. One aspect that left me somewhat disenchanted was the interaction, or rather lack thereof, between the staff and guests. It didn't quite embody the exemplary service one would expect from a high-end 5-star establishment. However, there was a shining exception to this observation - Addy, who was stationed at the breakfast area. Addy demonstrated a commendable level of attentiveness, engaging guests at their tables and ensuring needs were met promptly. Whether you required additional items or sought information, Addy was the person to turn to. This kind of service truly exemplified the standard one would anticipate from a hotel of this caliber. I did have an enjoyable stay, but for this hotel to remain a five star there is room for improvement.

Well maintained resort and good service. Breakfast spread is good and yummy. Harbour is just 5-10 mins walk away to take boat ride to the Tunku Abdul Rahman islands. Boat ride is only about 15-20mins to the islands. Lovely great swimming pools for both adults and kids and a small private beach for snorkeling. Rooms are clean and spacious. Sunset is beautiful. Love the stay and we will be back. Thank you!

Overall nice hotel with very good facilities. I liked the edgeless swimming pool where you can have broader view of coastal area of KK including the ***a Island. The gym is also modern and a pleasant place to go. The restaurants are also attractive and i liked the breakfast the most as there are a lot of food options. 15/F roooftop is a good place for appreciation of sunset. The only problem is their room service efficiency: when you try to order something you might have to wait for a long time. Hope there’s improvement when I come back again in future.

decent 1 or 2 star hotel with reasonable rate. room was stuffy & smelt due to the curtains. just need to open up your curtain / window during day for sunlight to shine in while you are not around.. make sure you keep yr stuffs safe in luggage and lock it till you return. pillow tooo thin (even so with combi 2 into 1). daily cleaning - thank you very much to the cleaner. didnt get a chance to say thank you to her. usage of computer is FOC and free flow. walking distance to seaside and park and tg plaza & airport (if you backpack can la BUT no no no to trolley luggage okie :-P ). front office and driver are friendly look like operate by family members. well, highly recommend you to stay with them

Hotel room is basic but clean, and good value. Free airport pickup/drop off is excellent, just make sure you call to make booking. The driver somehow missed us at airport but came back to pick us up when you called the hotel. Free breakfast is reasonably good (noodle, scramble egg, sausage, bean). There are eating places/restaurants and shops nearby. It is also about 2km from Tanjong Aru beach, and a few kms from town center. Will stay there again.

This hostel is very clear, well-run with friendly staff and nice decoration. Compared with 2 other hostels I stayed with in KK, the room in this hostel is the most spacious and the air-cond is very good. •Bed: very comfortable. •Electricity socket: all bunk beds have at least one USB port, some may have 2 USB ports and/or universal socket which fits China/Aust/USA plugs. •Bathroom: Clean, yet there is some room for improvement. Water pressure is good. •Bicycle: Rate is RM10 for the first hour, RM5 for every hour thereafter, and an hamlet is provided. It's nice to ride along the airport/beach in the morning. The sun could become very strong after 11am though. •Food nearby: Tried several eateries (Chinese/Malay/Indian-styled) in the neighborhood and all the food was so-so, nothing more than filling up your stomach. KFC, which run by hearing impaired staff, maybe a better choice. At night, Tanjung Aru Beach provides a wide range of hawker foods. •Hostel restaurant: The restaurant in the hostel is well decorated and air-conditioned with value meal set priced from RM15.9 to RM17.9. The grilled lamb was very nice. •Breakfast included: Self-serviced and very simple–just toast, egg and tea/coffee. Beach: Tanjung Aru beach (15 minutes walk) has beautiful sunset. Few people swim in the daytime (there is a jelly fish warning sign in the beach), but at sunset it's flocked with people. Overall, high quality hostel providing good value for money, esp for those want to stay near the beach.

stay was good. need to pay rm100 deposit upon checkin (even u already paid online), no worry, it'll be given back tho upon check out. the room is pretty and clean. only problem is that there's seem to be not enough worker in this hotel, and not their (the worker) fault imo, but to those in charge please do better.

The hotel room which I stayed was very confortable, with wide space, big bed, clean bedsheets and near to eating places and also near to the airport. Initially I was afraid the noise from the airplanes may disturb my sleep as my room was facing on the left side of the building, but to my surprise I did not hear planes flying so I was happy that I didn't experience any noise to disturb my tranquility. The only con is there is no restaurant in the hotel so my breakfast came as a bento like box takeaway. No coffee also, the coffee is available in the room but is chargeable. Only the tea bags are free. The parking is multi-storeyed and managed electronically. You put your car into the car lift and it is then parked automatically one car at a time. To retrieve your car, you need to scan your hotel card for it to be brought down via the car lift again. It may be time consuming if you are in a hurry and there are a few people in the queue before you.

Got to know about this Flypod Hotel with its strategic location 📍 when I was planning my slow Sabah train travel 🚂 It's with 4️⃣mins walking 🚶‍♀️distance to Tanjung Aru railway station 🚉 & 🔟mins car 🚗 ride to the Kota Kinabalu International Airport. This hotel provides airport shuttle with an additional fee, so peace of mind & no worries with it to ensure you arrive at airport on time for your flight departures 👍🏻 It offers luggage storage with an additional fee too. Very convenient if you wish to ride with train without bulky luggage ya 👍🏻 I have stayed in Deluxe King with airport view 🪟 room for 5️⃣ nights, yes ✅, actually longer than I have expected as I really enjoyed the friendliest hospitality here Love the airport view 🪟 from my room as I got to catch the airplanes ✈️🛫 as well as beautiful sunset 🌇 from my room. Hmm...Just that need to bear with the noise from busy road 🛣️ & airplanes 🛫✈️ flown for a light sleeper. Everything absolutely fine for me during my stay, you may opt for higher level is. Level 7 or Level 8 subjects to room availability for a lesser noise from the busy roads then The room is well equipped with all the necessity a traveller needs during a short stay. Love the comfy soft pillow & bed 🛏️ for a good night rest 💤😴 There is a cosy cafe & lounge area at the hotel lobby, it's beautiful when the micro optic lighting is on. I had a good long chat with friend here after checked in on the 1️⃣st day. Then, I enjoyed my cosy afternoon here to write my blog posts & work preparation during my stay It's also with a Flypod Restaurant 🍽️ within walking distance within the Aeropod Commercial Square to enjoy warm hot meals anytime during your stay here Highly recommended as I have opted this as my KK city hotel accommodation. I have engaged their personal driver services to Papar, Membakut & Kundasang. Reasonable price with great 👍🏻 friendly transport services Hope my review here is helpful to all. It was a nice stay, but i wish next time they can provide more iron so that the guest don’t have to go downstairs. for example, maybe you can put the iron section in each floor. cuz imagine you are in floor two, you have to go downstairs just to iron the clothes. tiringgggg … btw overall ill give 3.5
