I was incredibly lucky on my first stay at Check Inn Tamsui to meet the wonderfully enthusiastic housekeeper, Eva. She was so friendly and gave me a great introduction to the local area. We ended up staying three times in a row, and having Eva around felt like having a family member; she'd check in on us so thoughtfully every day. I genuinely looked forward to seeing her again each day, as it's not every hotel where you find such kind service.
Although the room was a bit small, her friendliness completely made us forget about it 😊.
The location is close to Tamsui MRT station. I really hope you can expand your hotel to more floors so more people can book rooms. I tried to book again later but it was completely sold out! 😅 I hope this can be improved soon, thank you.
Thank you also for specially preparing a baby tub, a small chair, and a water scoop for my baby; it made bath time so much easier 😊.
I look forward to seeing Eva again next time. Thank you for your care! 😘
Taipei Travellers International Youth Hostel is a newly opened backpacker hostel. It is the best choice for backpackers who like to travel freely and meet new friends. We are located in Tamsui Old Street, which is very close to various attractions and has a variety of food along the way, such as traditional flavor cakes, shrimp rolls, pepper pork cake. Sitting along the Tamsui River and enjoy the natural river breeze. In the afternoon, the sun reflects to form a golden river surface, which is the famous golden coast. The sunset in Tamsui is an unmissable beauty when you come to Tamsui. After the sunset, take the bus (red 26) to the Fisherman’s Wharf, walk on the beautifully decorated Lover’s Bridge, enjoy dinner at the music restaurant by the pier, and come down all day. What you see is fresh water with different appearances. Only by staying longer can you find that fresh water is a place worth slowing down. Welcome to Danshui and welcome your arrival!

Pretty clean. The drawback is that with several people in the same room, you cannot control the temperature of the air-conditioner to your own liking. But it is a fact for a hostel. There were a group of youngsters on the same floor who kept banging the doors for more than an hour but there is no one to stop them. But I still like this hostel and will stay again when I need to.

The B&B is about a 3-minute walk from Tamsui MRT Station. There are night markets and old streets nearby with lots of food. There is a 711 at the end of the alley, which is quite convenient. This time I stayed on the third floor of an old apartment next door. The entrance and exit are all electronic code locks, which is quite convenient. There is no elevator on the third floor and the stairs are narrow. If you have large luggage, it may be inconvenient. The service staff is very friendly and introduced carefully. The room is quite clean and quite spacious for one person. Before check-in, the official line informed me of nearby attractions and activities.
Forget all your worries when you stay in this spacious and quiet home.

This guesthouse is very close to Tamsui Old Street, and there's a shopping mall nearby. Right next to the mall, there seems to be a night market. The room was clean and hygienic, and there's a washing machine available. There are also many great restaurants in the area.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our first experience at the Tulip Hotel. We were very impressed with the room amenities; everything was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and upscale, allowing us to fully relax during our stay. If I had to suggest an area for improvement, it would be the music. It's a bit of a shame that there's no music in the lobby and restaurant areas. While there are musical performances at specific times, I believe having comfortable, light background music in the lobby and restaurant would significantly enhance the guest experience. However, overall, we truly loved the Tulip Hotel.
Located at Exit 2 of Zhongxiao Dunhua Station of the MRT in the East district, the transportation network is very convenient. It is only take 5-minute drive from Taipei Arena, and only 15-20 minutes for science and technology industrial parks such as Neihu and Nangang.
GGuest User2025.04.27
I enjoyed the first two nights of stay. Tge front desk staff are all very friendly and helpful. But on the checkout morning in the crowded breakfast place, a stout gang-like guy shouted at me with threatening tone over an empty table which was said to be reserved but had no reservation tag when I placed my plate on the table
All the goodness from other hotel staff was ruined by this incident.
The hotel is located next to the Tamsui Hongshulin MRT Station, surrounded by mountains and forests, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, resembling a paradise. It perfectly captures the essence of "Norwegian Wood." The hotel is also close to famous attractions such as Tamsui Old Street, Ferry Pier, Fort San Domingo, the Little White House, Huwei Battery, and Fisherman's Wharf.
Norwegian Wood Tamsui Forest Leisure Hotel combines local culture, historical landmarks, and stunning scenery, making it the top choice for business meetings, romantic getaways, family vacations, and parent-child activities.

The MRT is a 5-minute walk away (if you don't have luggage). If you do, be prepared for an uphill climb. Overall, the location is definitely convenient for tourists like me. The security guards at the entrance/exit are attentive, always confirming room numbers and offering services, which made me feel very safe and well-cared for. The room was incredibly spacious, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable – perfect for a good night's rest. There's even a bathtub and a jacuzzi for a relaxing soak! Unlimited mineral water is available, along with complimentary instant noodles and biscuits. The hotel also gives out souvenir biscuits (one pack of local specialty biscuits for each night of your stay). Breakfast was decent too! It's a popular spot, suitable for families, seniors, kids, and couples. The soundproofing is excellent! All in all, I had a great and very comfortable experience. The only minor drawback is that the hotel building and facilities are a bit old, but the excellent service more than makes up for it! Full marks! There's also a washing machine and dryer available – just pay 30 NTD for detergent and you're good to go.
Tamsui Fisherman'S Wharf | 2.47km from Fuyou Temple
Located next to the Fisherman's Wharf, Changti Seaview Hotel is not located in the bustling Danshui Old Street, but when you take a bus from the Danshui MRT station, you will feel the special atmosphere of entering the quiet street from the bustling Old Street in the small town of Danshui, just like meeting in the traditional and modern atmosphere of the old town of Danshui. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Danshui from sunrise to sunset, and you can stroll to the bank of Danshui River at dusk, and the various arts and cultural performances that adorn the Fisherman's Wharf during holidays enrich this famous tourist spot in Northern Taiwan. At the Changti Seaview Hotel, you will feel at home and be greeted like a family member, allowing you to leave your busy life behind for a while and enjoy the quality of life here.

The complimentary noodle bar was a thoughtful touch, offering a great selection of instant noodles, rice vermicelli, and glass noodles, with various options including beef, pork, shrimp, and vegetarian choices.
Our Deluxe Family Room was incredibly spacious. It featured two TVs – one in the living area and another in the bedroom – catering perfectly to both adults and children. The enormous bathroom, complete with a jacuzzi, was an absolute highlight and a truly wonderful indulgence!
We will definitely return for our next stay. Highly recommended! 👍

It's a nice house, but it's a pity that I didn't have the chance to stay overnight because the plane was leaving. I hope I can have the opportunity to stay in a B&B like this again next time. The staff are also very welcoming and provide drinks and map directions.

Very Good
NNguyen Do Nha UyenAfter coming back from Taiwan, I suddenly realized I hadn’t posted any photos or written a review about the adorable wooden cabin our family stayed in at Jiufen. Everyone in my family loved this place so much that I had to jot everything down now that I finally have some free time.
Most people I know usually stay in Taipei longer and just make a day trip to Jiufen without spending the night. As for me—I’ve lived in Hong Kong for quite a while, so compared to Hong Kong, Taipei didn’t leave much of an impression on me in terms of sights or food. The only thing that truly made me want to visit Taiwan was Jiufen — a sparkling little gem between the mountains and the sea 🏮🌿🌊
Jiufen feels like a dreamy fairytale village with its winding narrow alleys, steep stone stairways, and the warm glow of red lanterns everywhere. Walking around felt like stepping into another world, almost like a scene from a manga — especially for anyone who’s watched Spirited Away.

⭐🛖 Review of the wooden cabin called Twilight Forest in Jiufen
Just a 5-minute walk from the Old town, this wooden cabin brings together the warm glow of wood and the peaceful feeling of retreating into nature. It has a unique A-frame design, and at night, when the lights turn on, the whole place becomes incredibly cozy — the golden light shining through the windows and the plants around it create a “hideaway from the world” kind of vibe.
Inside, the space is open, airy, and tastefully decorated in a rustic style. There’s a small terrace with a swing chair hanging straight from the ceiling — sitting there at night, listening to insects and the wind rustling through the leaves, feels genuinely healing 🙃.
🛁🌿 Highlight: The glass-walled bathroom in the garden
This is the standout feature of the cabin. The bathtub is large and comfortable, placed right next to a 180° glass wall looking directly into a lush green garden. Natural daylight pours in, making your daytime bath feel like an outdoor spa surrounded by plants. (There’s also a roller blind if you need privacy)
Jiufen is a tiny village perched on a mountain, and it doesn’t have many hotels that offer spacious, comfortable accommodations. That’s why I was so happy to find this wooden cabin. Our family had the most wonderful two-night stay here.
If I ever return to Taipei, I would definitely book this place again ❤️
GGuest UserLoved the water filter/boiling machine, super convenient for a cup of tea/coffee with safe water!
Great that there's a dehumidifier!! No need to worry about the humidity.
The AC has warm mode too.
The café uphills offers chill place to sit.
GGuest UserWe had 3nites stay.
Great hotel, spacious, clean. Friendly staffs
Bath tub is a great way to end your day after a long day out.
Location:10 mins walk to Banqiao station for train/HSR
Amenities:Hotel does not provide free basic amenities, NT100 per pack. Remember bring your own.
Gym is chargeable, a pity
There is an Osen, free for the guests
7-11 and Family near hotel
There is a shop just opp the hotel that serve lamb hotpot during winter, very delicious.
Highly recommended except the location if u are dragging your luggages.
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at Hotel Cham Cham Taipei. Everything exceeded my expectations from start to finish. The hotel is very clean, modern, and well-maintained, making it extremely comfortable for families.
The location is excellent—very convenient with easy access to public transportation, shopping areas, and plenty of food options nearby. It made exploring Taipei effortless, especially with family members.
The room itself was spacious, cozy, and perfect for relaxing after a full day of exploring.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, especially for families looking for comfort, convenience, and great service in Taipei. Would definitely stay here again!
OOKTCGOWe had 3 nights at Harmony in a room with no window, but it did not feel claustrophobic at all. We did have trouble finding it due google maps playing up and we ended up at the sister hotel further up the hill. Thankfully, one of the owners ran up the hill and met us to take us to the correct one
Entry to the hotel is a pain when it pouring down with rain while trying to input your details for the QR code. But this was clearly detail in the listing descritption and previous reviews had mentioned this.
A huge help would be to to put a larger sign identifying the hotels location. See photo with circle around the name…. Very easy to miss.
During the stay, it was very quiet and extremely clean in possible the best location to old street. Literally 30 seconds away. Walk a little bit further and theres a 7-11 and family mart across the street.
The wifi is w10/10 so very good for digital nomads. I highly recommend harmony and would definitely stay again.
SsorloMy family and I stayed at the Yun Estate Hotel this past December, and we had a truly lovely time. Nestled in a quiet area, the hotel offers the perfect sense of serenity and escape from the usual hustle and bustle.
The absolute highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the accommodation. The room was incredibly spacious, but the game-changer was the private in-room hot spring. It provided a relaxing and enjoyable experience for all of us, and the kids absolutely loved splashing around in the warm water.
We opted to have breakfast delivered to our room, which was a convenient and nice touch in theory. The presentation of the food was absolutely beautiful but it looked way better than it tasted, unfortunately. While the meal wasn't bad, the flavor didn't quite match the high standard of the presentation.
For the little ones, the hotel is a dream. There is a playroom where they can watch movies, as well as a mini race track where they can drive electric cars. To top it off, the unlimited supply of drinks and snacks was a huge hit with them, making the stay feel extra special.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and are already looking forward to returning in the near future. Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing retreat.
BBabypinkalisticFuss free easy check in through the car park drive thru guard post. Accommodating with our side by side room request and extended one hour early check-in grace for our family with young children. Thank you Hub Hotel Xintai as this made it easy for me to quickly wind down my over tired children from the long car ride. The convenience of not having to take down our heavy luggage from the car saved us time, energy and provided so much convenience. Room was very clean, spacious and newly renovated. Bathtub was a nice have for my young children and we actually liked that the shower pressure was kept moderate to prevent water ponding and allow for a comfortable shower. TV was big and my children could watch some movies and YouTube channels which kept them occupied whilst I re-pack our luggage for departure just outside our room and right by our car. Highly recommend their room with garage if you are driving! It’s such a rare find in New Taipei City area with affordable accommodation pricing. Clean, convenient, spacious, comes with your own door step carpark and free flow snacks and ice cream! Sit in the car and check-in with sleepyhead children was so convenient and fuss free.
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic as the MRT is just opposite and the rooms are clean and big. It's really worth the money we paid for especially the triple room is equipped with washing machine and oven, living room with nice sofa. Will come back again and will introduce to friends.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is very conveniently located- near bus stops and a short walk away from the MRT Sanchong Station.
The hotel staff are accommodating and very helpful. The building is dated but well-maintained.
If I go back to Taiwan, will probably stay in this hotel again. PIt has become home in the week that I stayed there.
台台中阿源The reception staff was very friendly. I didn't have dinner there. The equipment was a bit old. Breakfast was available the next day, but it was simple. There was nothing special to order. I had thick slices, boiled eggs, and tomatoes that day. The air was pretty good.
