The location of the hotel is very good, it is very convenient to eat next to it, it is also close to tourist attractions, the room is large, and the facilities are very new. By the way, for breakfast, the self-service set meal on the first floor is better, and the buffet on the second floor has fewer dishes, not as good as the first floor!

I visited Haikou with friends during the summer vacation and discovered this hidden gem hotel near Qilou Old Street. The front desk staff were warm and attentive; the auntie greeted us politely. The room was very nice, spacious at 25 square meters, and included a bathtub, a desk, and a chair. The hotel facilities were complete, the air conditioning worked very well, and the sheets and duvet covers were new, white without any yellow or black stains or unpleasant sweat odor. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area and even a non-slip mat, which was really nice.

1. The room is nice and the bedding is comfortable. What's not ideal is that the shower room has no door. If you don't hold the hand shower properly when bathing, the bathroom will be soaked. Fortunately, the front desk guy (I forgot to ask his name) was very kind and made a special note to remind the cleaning staff to provide an extra floor towel as a remedial measure.
2. The receptionist (I didn't ask his name at the time) and the lady (Y) at the front desk were both very capable, attentive, and their explanations were clear and standardized. They were always smiling and made people feel warm.
3. The hotel has its own parking lot, free parking. The hotel's breakfast is good, with both Chinese and Western food, which is quite delicious.
4. There is a bus stop not far from the hotel (main entrance of No. 7 Middle School), which makes it convenient for traveling. There are convenient restaurants near the hotel, with many choices of food.
5. In fact, when guests choose a hotel, they are not only choosing the hardware of the hotel itself, but also choosing its high-quality services, surrounding environment and high cost-effectiveness. Hotels can remain invincible in the fierce competition, and high-quality service plays a big role, which can even make up for the shortcomings of hotel hardware.

I was in Haikou for a short layover, and I can absolutley recommend this place to stay to see beautiful Haikou. The location is right on the old Qilou street, which is perfect for exploring and enjoying on foot. The room was very impressive for the price, with huge windows letting in lots of natural light. The building itself is quite old which gives the room character, but some parts of the room could do with a small renovation or repair. However for the price, this place was superb and I can totally recommend it for short to medium stays to experience Haikou.

Among international chains, Marriott probably has the most comfortable beds, and this Fairfield's biggest highlight is exactly that – the bedding is super comfy, guaranteeing a great night's sleep. Beyond that, let's talk specifics:
**Location**: There's a decent-sized food street within walking distance, making it super convenient for meals. A RT-Mart (supermarket) isn't too far either, and the Hainan Provincial Museum is about a 10-15 minute walk. Getting to Qilou Old Street takes about 15 minutes by taxi, or if you enjoy a stroll, you can walk through the old city, which takes around 40 minutes.
**Room**: It seems to be a renovated old hotel. The ceilings aren't very high, and the space isn't huge, but thankfully, the facilities are quite new and well-arranged. You can always trust Marriott's comfortable and practical design for their chain hotels; it's perfectly adequate.
**Public Areas & Dining**: The gym is well-equipped, the restaurant is tastefully decorated, and breakfast offers good value for money. They even have a robot that delivers takeout directly to your room door.
**Service**: Reliable! The front desk staff are professional. A small incident: I forgot my phone charger on check-out day, and the hotel promptly mailed it to me afterwards. The charger was sealed in a small plastic bag with a label detailing the time it was found, room number, finder's name, etc. – very professional and meticulous. A special shout-out for that!

First, the toilet seemed to be short-circuiting, constantly flushing. I had to unplug it and resort to the manual button, which barely released any water. Then, the shower. I let it run for half an hour, and it was still cold. Only then was I told that the upstairs unit had been turned off. What a hassle!

The kids had an amazing time with all the activities, including the Hot Spring Valley, the water park, and Squirrel Tribe. GGuest UserThis is a really comfortable hotel. Every time I visit Haikou, I make sure to stay here for a night. The main reason is their amazing 830-meter deep hot spring directly in the rooms – a soak there just melts away all the fatigue. The rooms are spacious and bright. Plus, the hotel is very close to the Qilou Old Street, just a short taxi ride (minimum fare). There's even an airport shuttle nearby. It's truly great.

**Hygiene**: Upon entering, it felt very clean and tidy, which made me feel comfortable and at ease. There was no noticeable damp or musty smell.
**Environment**: A standard five-star hotel with marble finishes and four well-arranged elevators.

1. The front desk staff showed no obvious change in expression; I didn't feel welcomed, nor did they proactively introduce hotel facilities. Guests need to ask and inquire themselves.
2. The concierge staff were warm and friendly. They were quick to handle luggage and offer various forms of assistance, which was heartwarming.
**Dining**: The buffet breakfast was quite average. The only delicious item was the Hainan specialty pastry. The saving grace was the beautiful view from the 33rd floor.
**Children's Facilities**: Virtually non-existent. The children's area on the 5th floor was dimly lit, and the so-called parent-child activities lacked effective organization and planning. The only positive was that it was clean and tidy.
**Location**: Excellent. It's very close to both Wanlu Lake and MixC (shopping mall). The surrounding area is lined with coconut trees, making it very pleasant.
**Summary**:
If you're traveling for business and just need a comfortable night's sleep, the hotel's hygiene, environment, hardware facilities, and location are all good.
However, from a family travel perspective, it's quite average, and the hotel needs to put more effort into its planning.

I was a bit hesitant before booking since it was renovated in 2016, but the hotel has clearly been diligent with updates and maintenance. All the facilities are still in great working order and feel quite new. It's especially kid-friendly, with the room setup being really thoughtful. I was particularly impressed by the hotel's photography department – their skills are top-notch, their candid shots are perfect, and their aesthetic sense is excellent!!!
