Kkarei88The overall ambiance is very upscale, and the hotel's design and atmosphere really give off a resort vibe.
However, the service details were just average. The lobby also doubles as the afternoon tea area, and there were barely enough seats to briefly rest before checking in, making the whole area feel quite noisy. Upon arrival, no staff proactively offered to help with luggage.
During check-in, my room wasn't ready, but the hotel didn't immediately explain why. Instead, they used vague statements to delay, telling me to wait for the room number to be notified via email. After I repeatedly pressed for an answer, I was finally told the room was still being cleaned, which was not a great experience.
For breakfast service, the coconut juice I ordered took a long time to arrive and tasted mediocre.
Overall, the facilities and environment are excellent, but there's room for improvement in service details and communication transparency.

GGuest UserThis is a classic hotel, well located, full service (though a little slow at times) and it was very busy when we were there at Chinese New Year. The staff are friendly and helpful. This room was small but comfortable. Breakfast is fabulous but be careful of the queues (as well as when checking in and out). The gym is well stocked and the pool area is pleasant although the pool is a little small. The food is good all round. It is conveniently located next to the giant malls of Makati where there is plenty to eat and shop! I enjoyed our stay and would stay again. The lobby is lovely.

RreubenferrerThe hotel is a pleasant surprise in the heart of Makati. The hotel facilities are very clean and the lobby is very welcoming. Breakfast in the morning is also very filling (albeit not a buffet breakfast offering). Internet connection at this hotel leaves much to be desired. If you are on a work trip, do not count on being able to do a work call in your room.

GGuest UserI booked it for my NCLEX and it is the perfect location for me. It was a short walk going to Trident Tower. Below the condo units it has supermarket, 7 11, mall, variety of restaurants that offers great food, Daiso, salons, and such! I ate sushi with an affordable price, ate pani puri that was delicious, they had pop up market during the weekend, ate healthy broccoli and mushroom stir fry with a tasty fermented mango juice, and some desserts. I really liked my stay there, no issues. They also have pool (lap and leisure), billiard, gym, walking/jogging area, and other amenities that we haven't been to actually. Also very nice lobby, connected to the Air Mall. About the unit, great unit with great bed and pillow. Good aircon, no issues. Love that there are desk, table, couch, kitchen sink, stove, microwave, washing machine, heated shower, tv with Netflix & YouTube, pullout bed, and cabinets. Very much will recommend to my friends and family. I might come back to one of Gemstones' units! Very good! Also affordable pricing compared to other Airbnb and hotels. I prefer this over the one that is well-known and also the closest stay for NCLEX takers, iykyk. Btw I dont have pics or vids of the unit butmit is what you see on their posts.

AAnonymous UserAs always, the staff are accommodating and courteous, from the front desk, security, and restaurant servers, even the OJTs (I think?) wearing white uniforms during breakfast. Everyone was nice, attentive, and welcoming.
I always come back to St. Giles because of its location and the homey feeling it has compared to other hotels in Poblacion. I’ve stayed at different hotels around the area whenever I want a quick staycation to relax and swim during my days off, but this has always been my go-to hotel. This was actually my first stay this year, and I noticed that a lot has changed.
I’m not sure if it’s due to government regulations, but there are no toothbrushes provided in the room anymore. There was also only one bath towel in the room even though there were two of us checked in. The water in the hallway is empty in the morning when we want to make coffee in the room. I hope the housekeeping team will be more attentive with these things.
What disappointed me the most was the breakfast selection. Breakfast used to be one of my favorite parts of staying here, but now the selection feels quite limited and sad. There’s no bacon or even danggit anymore, which are usually breakfast staples. Most of the choices were heavy meals. Plus points for the roti, though.
Overall, the stay was still okay, but I think I might not come back in the meantime. I hope next time i'll experience the same homey and warm feeling from you.

GGuest UserThe price is affordable, rooms are clean enough, and people are friendly. Also, it is convenient to travel to all destinations, equally close.
However, there's only one hairdryer in the building, which makes it super inconvenient, and no slippers are provided. Another concern would be safety, Pasay city is more local, you can experience authentic lifestyle, but there are risks of getting into trouble I think.
All in all, after living 3 days there, I would still recommend travelers this hotel.
