VIP Executive Zurique Hotel

VIP Executive Zurique Hotel

Baixa Lisbon|2.45km from Restaurante Pato Bravo
My recent stay at the VIP Executive Zurique Hotel was acceptable. This hotel has so much potential, and some more attention in a few areas would go a long way in transforming this property to one of a higher quality. The service was excellent. Employees were all compassionate and professional. In addition, the food offered in the hotel’s restaurant was of high quality. Prices at the property were fair. From a value point of view, I expected a bit more. I paid €439 for my eight-day stay. In addition, dinner was expensive and extremely limited. More specifically, in terms of amenities, the hotel boasts a beautiful outdoor pool area. Unfortunately, it was often overcrowded and littered with garbage. More attention to detail would remedy these issues. Wifi was available, but weak in certain parts of the hotel. A bar is located in the lobby, but opens late and closes early in the evening, making it inaccessible. The gym was closed during my time here. That was also unfortunate, as images and descriptions on websites were misleading. I stayed in an Executive Single Room during my week here. The room itself was contemporary and updated, however, housekeeping was inconsistent. Some days, my room was cleaned impeccably, others, housekeeping was abysmal or nonexistent. Towels oftentimes had rips or stains on them. The curtains had small rips and were stained. In addition, one of the blankets was stained. The provided toiletries were good. The bed itself was comfortable, but the pillows were very poor quality. The hotel did not specially publicize a smoking policy. Oftentimes, the corridors reeked of smoke. Cigarettes littered the pool deck and common areas in the hotel. Staff worked hard to keep surfaces in the lobby disinfected, however, their efforts were undermined by thousands of guests utilizing these areas. I do believe the hotel is understaffed. The hotel would benefit from having maintenance and housekeeping readily available and on call for assistance. When I necessitated maintenance, I was told I would have to wait for the following morning when the technician would be available. While the rooms were updated and contemporary, the bathrooms were rundown. The hotel shows it’s apparent age on the exterior, and in the elevators. Some surfaces were cracked and not functional. I experienced difficulties in the elevators. They stopped working at times, leaving me stuck. Again, better maintenance would remedy these concerns. The location of the hotel is a positive. It is surrounded by transit options that provide direct links to cities all across the country. This is ideal for all visitors. Overall, the hotel served it’s purpose. I do believe the hotel is ill equipped to handle the high volume of guests that stay here. Housekeeping is marginal, and must be improved. Maintenance needs to pay closer attention to the aging property. Finally, security here is lacking. I have some concerns as it pertains to safety. Front desk staff has no control over people

Never judge a book by the cover. Outside architecturally the building will never win any awards. The location is perfect 3 mins walk from Roma metro station on the green line. Whereas everywhere in Lisboa seems to be a steep incline this is flat and easy access to hotel located just off Av de Roma. Warm welcome door man opens door and assists you to the reception. Reception excellent spoken English and explain everything especially the WIFI code and breakfast on 1st floor and gym. Very quiet inside. Two lifts available to get you up to floor 11. Standard double room located facing away from the road and on ninth floor. Lobby immaculately clean and room very clean spacious and large bathroom with soft led lighting and a bidet! Bathroom fully stocled and towels super soft. Excellent water pressure and warm water easily adjustable. Superkingsize bed with a sprung mattress which very firm and possible to fell springs on the edges. Pillows large and medium and above all firm. Excellent night's sleep. Air-conditioning effective expect lowest speed not low enough. Flat TV so small! TV in this size room and distance from bed should be at least 55 inches. Wifi strong but occasionally impossible to detect. Minibar fully stocked working. Breakfast served on first floor . Large dining room with ample space. Good selection of cereals, tea/coffee/cappuccino ,pastries, fresh fruits and warmed meats. No facility for personalised omelettes. For three day stay acceptable as having same daily. Breakfast served from 7am-10am and again very clean environment with very amicable staff. Staff in general throughout spoke very good level of English. Daily cleaning to the highest of levels noticeable by the change of daily soft white towels. Check out 12pm. whilst waiting after check out bar staff took great exception to me drink a tiny amount of sparkling water from my bottle in their lounge for a few minutes. . This is best hotel in the Roma vicinity. Highly recommend staying at Lutecia Smart Design Hotel as perfect location for stepping stone to sightseeing throughout Lisboa. Metro station, buses and train less that 5 minutes away. Easy comfortable access to everywhere in Lisboa and beyond. Above all the relief one gets from being flat location becomes apparent when discovering the steep hills of Lisboa. Excellent hotel and highly recommended a very high quality four stars hotel.

A great valued hotel in an excellent location in Lisbon. Located right outside Arroios metro station making it a 10 minute journey to the central areas and 1 change at Alameda to go the the airport. The room was spacious and comfortable with a brilliant shower. Room has lots of amenities including fee toiletries, a desk and a fridge and you can request as kettle when you check in. Reception staff were attentive and friendly as were the housekeeping staff who gave us a birthday card too. Breakfast had a plenty of options from pastries to cereal and hot food. You will always be full! It gets quite busy around 8am but there is enough seating to be able to relax and keep going back for more! The hotel also give guests a free coffee voucher which we used once we checked out. Would stay here again and would recommend to anybody visiting Lisbon.

We landed here from a cancelled easyjet flight, staff were so understanding when we arrived. Breakfast and dinner was included in our stay and was a buffet style with a great selection. Room was very spacious and clean. A 1 minute walk away from metro entrance and supermarket.

The location of this hotel is far from historic center but 10 minutes walking to the nearest Alameda metro, but first the walking distance to the Alameda metro station is not to closed. Then get off in Rossio metro station and walk in historic center. Then going back the same and going up the hill is not easy as they say. The hotel cleaning was fine. The staff too. Breakfast so so, not for the price of 9 euros p/p. Now the noise from next door rooms was horrible, no respect to anyone and beds not as comfortable. The are does not look to safe, but is ok. Just be early at the hotel.

Nice looking entranceway, and the person at the desk spoke English and could help me easily with checking in. The English however was not good enough to give me any recommendations for the city, this doesn't bother me but may some other people. I had a room on the top floor. The view was nothing exciting but the room was adequate, outlets near the bed and a full bathroom. I asked the cleaner to not disturb the room during my stay and to wait for me to leave at the end of the trip but they still came in each day, and there was no safe which was a bit annoying for me. Overall, you get what you pay for and at this price it really is great. Located literally a 20 second walk away from the green metro directly into the city centre - this is the best! (don't miss the remarkable ramen restaurant which is on the same street too!)

Booked this hotel because it is in easy walking distance of the Rock in Rio festival site. Was also delighted to find that right outside the front door is the entrance to the Alameda metro station - 6 stops to the city centre and 6 stops to theairport, without having to change! Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Excellent cafe across the road if you don't want the hotel breakfast and on our last day we also discovered the Impresso Restauarnt (about 100 yards away) which looks as if it might be a converted cinema. Decor might be a little tired but all in all, I thought that the hotel was excellent value.
