I booked this last minute for our family stay and was so impressed by Book A Base apartments. Amazing customer service, spotless apartment, so spacious. Kitchen had everything we needed. My family are already asking me to book again and they have other locations so we will definitely visit again. Staff even surprised my son with a birthday cake on arrival. Thanks to everyone at Base for making our stay so memorable.

Place was exactly as advertised. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth staying if your trip is short. As for downsides, hostel has limited number of bathrooms and showers - this can cause issues if you have to leave quickly. The ventilation in rooms is basically non-existent, and rooms house up to 10 people, so I’ll leave the air quality to your imagination. Sound isolation is not great, so if somebody has a good time in the kitchen you’ll going to hear that. Bring earplugs if you are light sleeper. Cleanliness is subjective, I’m not that picky, but having crumbs in my bed was disconcerting. Some sinks have filters with hair in them. Haven’t seen anything that would be actually harmful like mold or hygiene products, so that is good. Location is good. Liverpool is not that big and you’ll get to city centre in under an hour even with most leisurely pace. Do visit the cathedral on your way there. I haven’t seen any shops in immediate vicinity though, but I didn’t need them, so maybe you find some if you look. Bus stop for airport is fairly close, so that is a plus as well. Overall, this is a hostel. You can sleep there, store your stuff and maybe have a chat with interesting people. Price is fair for experience.

Brought a large group of 30+ to Liverpool for the week. From the moment we booked to the time we checked out the team at the Liverpool Inn couldn't have been more helpful. The large dorm rooms we booked on recommendation catered to our every need and the shared kitchen was a great facility for us to use to feed the group. The games room was also a great facility to use for the group when needed. The location was perfect for us and was closely situated to the university (2 mins) and the city centre (5 mins). Busy spot (lots of bars, restaurants, and clubs nearby) with lots of people coming and going but very secure and safe with staff keeping a close eye on all things. 24hr manned reception and a strict set of rules with regards to behavior yet a really cool sort of relaxed vibe about the place. We will be back for sure!!
The Georgian Town House Hotel

Princes Park
We've stayed here several times and it is always a good night. The hotel is kinda self-service. A day or two before your visit you are sent a code for the key-safe at the front door, from there you pick up your room key. When you leave, so simply put your key back in the key safe, randomise the key pad and walk away. Breakfast is available in the cafe downstairs, but it's optional. The hotel is what it says ... a Georgian town house, The rooms are grand and very well equiped. the beds are large and comfy and it's very clean
