Hotels near Teatro Pradillo in Madrid

The place looks really shady inside. They only have inflatable beds which are extremely uncomfortable. No lockers, but you can ask the reception to open the warehouse door where everyone stores their suitcases and important stuff and this warehouse is locked at all times.

A taxi from the airport is around 20 Euros. The location is OK. It is also close to the subway. The hotel environment is also good. It feels like a homestay. There is a microwave oven, induction cooker, etc. in the room. The breakfast is Western-style. The Chinese may be used to drinking some milk. Others I am not used to, haha. The waiter is fluent in English, The whole is good, it is recommended!

Rafaelhoteles Ventas is in a good location, close to the metro station (El Carmen). Hygiene is good, bed linen is changed daily. Breakfast is according to the ”buffet table” principle, but it is monotonous and with a small selection. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Sanitary conditions are good. It is just diagonally opposite to the alfonso XIII exit of Metro Line 4. There is a supermarket next to the hotel. It is very close to the airport and the city. The area where the hotel is located is relatively safe. There is no encounter with black people and robbing. A friend lost his wallet. A very comfy sleep in the centre of Madrid-Good mattress and chair to work This hotel is only one star, but the quality is medium/high. I booked a double bed and a private bathroom; the price is around 100 euros, which I think is expensive, but it may be the usual price in Madrid for one star hotels. The location is convenient for Line 1, the blue line and stop ”Estrecho”; L1 stops at Atocha, the high/speed station. The ride is approximately 30 minutes. The personnel are very kind and helpful. I was able to check in early since I needed to work. The room is small, but the bed has a nice size. It is very clean. However, it is difficult to keep up the highest standards since the floor is white and there were some hairs on the floor. I had a very good sleep; The quality of the mattress is excellent, and people are respectful and quiet, even though there are some common areas for guests who share bedrooms or other amenities. The chair in the bedroom is very comfy to work on. I managed to work for eight hours. All the furniture is of high standards, overall. There is complimentary tea and decaf coffee the whole day round. On the bad side, the breakfast was not great. The quality of the products is not good, for example, bread, jam (low-calories), pastries, or juices, which are not fruit natural juices. There are not too many options. The breakfast should start earlier than 8 am, above all for guests who are on business. I do not think guests should wash their dishes, but rinse them and allocate them in the dishwasher since they are using the same sponge, and after COVID-19, this practice should be avoided for further illnesses. The coffee machine provides coffee but is not of such good quality. It does not come hot enough. The quality of the towels is not good. They are old and do not dry properly. I think it is essential to have recycling bins, in particular, since guests are booking to sleep and they cook and prepare their food. The coffee machine does not allow you to reuse your glass, which is a shame as per providing a new glass with a plastic spoon every time you want a coffee. I tried to press the option ”no glass”, but it will not work. It seems that everything goes in the same bin. The shower has low pressure and two taps. It is not easy to reach quick and warm water. The head is not mobile, so girls bring your shower cap. The quality of the shower gel is nice. Very fashionable!!

Please Avoid this place. It is cheap but nothing else! I stayed here checked into the receiption which is 24 hours after my working day. The place is near the metro cuatro caminos (a mainly poorer area of Madrid with lots of south american population). The area does have a 24 hour supermarket which was good as the hostal has no food/drink facilities. The room was a very small single bed as I was alone on an education course for my job. The room had a fan and tv and a small table. Once you switch off the light the fan goes off so you cannot sleep with the fan on at night with 39c heat. you cannot leave the window open as its not a safe place. The first moment I checked in, i quickly went outside to get air and get the metro outside. They checked in a drunk african man at 6pm in the evening who was walking up the stairs with a can of beer unable to walk or see anything (their is no lift to the rooms) you need to walk up around 50 stairs to the rooms. They take anyone from the streets if they pay the small charge to stay here. Second day, the two receiptionists or owners were fighting over money from the hotel they were shouting and getting agressive. Its was an uncomfortable situation to see. I left and came back after work for a shower and the room had not been cleaned. They said you didnt put a badge on the door saying clean my room. Couldnt they knock and say something? Very strange way of working? The next day I put the badge clean my room but NO nothing changed. It was an excuse.. Then I went and complained he didnt speak any English and didnt want to know he said the cleaners left and nothing he can do. I pulled off the bedsheets, but the bed protector was badly stained with blood and I also got a skin rash. I left the property 1 day early, it was disgusting. The toilets were not cleaned either and insects were crawling everywhere. This place should be closed down immediately. They dont take security or cleaning seriously, they dont want to know problems only take your money. I explained to Expedia about this place but the hotel denied everything. SHAME!!!

We had a fantastic stay at the Crowne Plaza. The room was comfortable and modern. The bed was enormous, largest I've seen and beyond a king bed. We joked that we could have fit 4 people on it. The pillows were also fluffy and shapely. There is a mini fridge that were able to use to store cheese. The bathrooms have fig products. While I wasn't a fan of the scent, it didn't linger and Crowne Plaza is not stingy about products. There is hand soap and body lotion next to the sink. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are in the shower. This hotel also has tissues (a rarity in Spanish hotels) and soft 2-ply toilet paper. Minor touches but they definitely elevate the experience. The towels smelled clean and there were glasses for use throughout the room. The only feedback was the staff wasn't very welcoming or helpful. We checked in late and the night receptionist seemed bothered to see us and didn't have any suggestions for where to eat. We later asked if there's a channel that has the Real Madrid football match and they had no idea. We checked out early in the morning, around 7am, and there was a wait when the receptionist prioritized check-ins but who checks in at 7am? He forgot to email the invoice and when I emailed for it, that took 2 tries and almost a week to get it.

Hostal located on the street Hortaleza in a classic building, well-conditioned and clean rooms, friendly reception, two days before arrival called us to see what kind of bed we wanted, we made a reservation via the web, The hotel was very good, but it was very good and it was very good.

For 1 night stay, its all good, room is super clean. Pillows are not so comfy, unless you request for extra pillows and double bed is just nice for an Asian size couples like us. Not suitable for bigger build bodies. Location is not that centralized and its quiet at night as it is an ofc area, but we managed to try both Taxi/metro for dinner, abt 10-12mins ride. We also went to Madrid Stadium using the metro, a more convenient way.

I have stayed in many hostels before but at TOC it was the first time I stayed in a shared room ( female only). I was a bit worried as I didn't know what to expect but it turned out great. The hostel is awesome, has friendly staff and is the most modern hostel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were quite nicely soundproofed as you couldn't hear much from the hallways as it is usual for other hostels. In my 6 bed female room, we had 2 toilets, 2 sinks, and 2 showers - it was enough. :) I will be coming back, definitely!
