After departing from our cruise, we arrived early (10 am) of our check-in time. We had booked the room through Chase Ultimate Rewards using points and received confirmation from Chase. I am also a Gold Elite Bonvoy member. When we arrived, our reservation was not in the system. After going back and forth with management, the manager, Karen, basically told us (at 3pm) that they would not be able to accommodate us that night as they were overbooked and had no rooms available. ”Chase” had not paid the hotel for the room, so we do not have a reservation in the system. I was asked to contact chase to get the hotel a virtual credit card to keep my reservation. We talked to Chase and they had to work with the hotel directly. According to the Chase Rep, Chase had to pay for a new booking and pay extra fees for us to stay that evening, so the hotel did have availability. We eventually checked in at 4pm. Mind you we are a family traveling with a 6 and 2 yo, at risk of not having a place to stay. We were not the only guests in that position, there were at minimum four other groups with their 3rd party reservations not being recognized. I believe they have a system error that they refuse to recognize. Or maybe it's on purpose to have customers book a lower cost room to end up charging the booking company more money for the reservation. Either way it was a poor experience all around. This was my first time experiencing this with travel to six continents and 25+ countries. The hotel itself was ok. The pros were complimentary breakfast, free airport shuttle, and large lobby which we regrettably had to wait at for 6+ hours. The cons were check-in process, dirty room floor, and a sticky deadbolt that caused us to be stuck in our room until maintenance was able to let us out. The location is only convenient for the airport, no where to eat at or walk to nearby. Kind of shady area with run down business around.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Hotel is disorganized and some staff members were unhelpful. Breakfast was horrible and chaotic, with limited options. Would not recommend staying here. Highly overpriced with subpar service!! Parking is $20 a night with no security. Lobby was on second floor and had to be buzzed into the hotel on arrival. We met a guest who had to wait half an hour to be let in. Had packages delivered to the hotel and the hotel staff were unable to locate even though the others in the same batch were found. Rooms were smaller than expected. The bathroom tiles had mold and the exhaust fan was full of dust. Constantly have to clean the bathroom as the shower door doesn’t stay close and water kept wetting the floor. The lack of security for this hotel is ridiculous. We parked our car in front of the hotel doors and someone stole a part off the car (a rental, which had to written off, thankfully I was covered and didn’t have to pay for this). We informed the staff and they were unsympathetic and did not care (rental company was much more helpful). The lady at the front desk, didn’t even understand what was being told to her). If you’re going to hire foreign employees make sure they at least understand English! Only asked if the police had been called. We felt unsafe staying here after this and wanted to checked out but due to the incoming storm we weren’t able to as we were unsure if we would be stuck in the country.

The taxi was wrong. It was more than 4 am when I came here. The button for booking last night went dark. The day of booking was counted as yesterday. Check out at 11 o'clock and rest for a few hours. When the reservation is made, no check-in and no cancellation will be given. Only checked in again at night and found a motel with a gas station outside.

The hotel has been transferred to the garden inn, because it has just taken over, all aspects look quite new, very clean, the facilities in the room are not fully completed for the time being, it is understandable that it has just taken over. The staff was very welcoming and polite.

Radisson Red Miami Airport

Had a horrible experience a couple of blocks away at some trashy place… But not only was this hotel the exact opposite of that, but they ACTUALLY got me in the vacation mood right back again. Luis the manager was nothing but a knowledgeable young man of the area and his hospitality is what got me to give this a shot. 10/10

The hotel itself is very good, there is a literary fan, although there is an airport passing over the head, but the window is still very quiet, every half hour there is shuttle between the airport subway station hotel, 24 hours without stopping, take a few minutes to have the subway and The bus is very convenient. The only bad thing is that there is no food around. The hotel’s restaurants, taxes and tips are extremely high.
