"The hotel is located right next to Plaza Independencia. Overall, the hotel is a bit dated; some outlets are loose, and some walls are a bit dirty. For some reason, the water in the indoor pool was around 40 degrees Celsius. You can't cool off in it, even though there's a sauna right there and after using it, you'd want to dip into a cooler pool."

"I stayed at this hostel because it was the cheapest I could find in Uruguay. They charged me twice even though I'd already paid for the check-in, but I was able to convince them by showing them the Trip.com payment page. Around 8pm, the shared kitchen was full of people, so I went to the terrace. I made friends with a group of Brazilians there and enjoyed drinking wine and listening to live music. The room had triple bunk beds, and the ladder was thin and unstable, so I was afraid to climb to the top bunk."

"This hotel located in a very convenient location for tourists, right on the Plaza Independencia in the city center, walking distance to all the sightseeing sites, facilities are quite good, breakfast was above average, however if you want to go out for dinner after hour, there're very few dining options around, most restaurants closed before 8pm, even though Montevideo is generally safe, that area behind the hotel was dark and gave eerie feeling."

"Excellent location and breakfast. Rooms very spacious. Restaurant food very good. My booking was for a high floor room with a city view and they gave me a low floor with a beach view. I didn’t mind as the room was spacious and beach view was nice but I think it was a bit impolite to change my room without even asking me/ offering an explanation. I would have also expected for a 5 star Hyatt hotel to have a bathtub and robes/slippers. However as the price was much lower than what this brand would usually be I think it is still very good value for money."

"Very dirty hotel, the photos do not reflect the reality of the hotel, the rooms lack maintenance with dirty and moldy sheets. Breakfast was another disappointment, with only a few options and no fruit. When we arrived we thought about looking for another hotel, but losing $660 for 3 nights is not easy. It has enormous potential, but it needs to be managed by professionals or acquired by a network. Don't waste your money on this hotel, there are other much better options in Montevideo for the same price (Sofitel, Montevideo...)."
