Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Montreal

As a seasoned hotelier and business owner within the hospitality industry, I have had the opportunity to experience a wide array of accommodations across the globe. Unfortunately, my recent stay at the Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Montreal stands out as one of the most grotesque hotel experiences in my five decades of traveling. From the moment I arrived, it was evident that this establishment fell far short of the standards I hold dear in the realm of hospitality. Upon observation, it seemed that the only other guests occupying the premises were individuals from abroad, presumably without steady income & social support. Throughout my stay, I felt profoundly unsafe within the confines of the hotel. The ambiance did not resemble that of a typical lodging; instead, it exuded an aura of desolation and neglect. Despite my exhaustion from travel, I found it challenging to rest adequately due to a myriad of disturbances. Disconcerting noises emanated from various sources, including the roof, disrupting any chance of peaceful sleep. Venturing outside offered little peace of mind, as the surrounding environment emitted an unsettling vibe. It was clear that the frequency of occurrences was far from ideal, further exacerbating my discontent with the overall experience. However, amidst the myriad of disappoin**ents, one silver lining emerged—the receptionist was helpful and friendly the only positive thing about this hotel, I have to say. Would not recommend this hotel in even my dream!

The hotel was ok for the purpose of the stay. The breakfast was basic and could be improved. The parking lot was like an ice skating rink.

All the attractions were nearby,about 10 to 15 minutes away. Good breakfast and kind staff. Parking was available...

This place is a joke. They had no power, hot water or heat and I never stayed and went to another hotel but they wouldn’t refund me. To say Fadwa’s customer service was terrible would be a massive understatement.

The hotel did not look like the pictures at all. The hotel is much more dated. Although I don’t mind an older hotel, it’s simply misleading to try to present the hotel as something it isn’t and it makes you wonder what else they are not being honest about. Also, for whatever reason, there are a lot of sketchy people that go to this hotel. They hang out in the parking lot, lobby, hallways, etc. and will stare at you as you walk past.

Very nice staff member, front desk was good in checking in, but the condition of the property is quite dated, some sort of dampness smell in the room. Air conditioning was not working and only hot water in the wash room , very low pressure of cold water. One strange thing, the door of the toilet rubs against the toilet see while opening or closing, strange.

The room smelled, the downstairs pool is falling apart with paint chips and bugs in the water, the shower head was disconnected from the wall in my suite and the washroom was cramped. I feel the property is worth $100 less per night. Ramada, Wyndham? This property is passed its prime, it doesn't look good for your brand

Location was great, walkable distance to shopping and food, staff was very friendly, room was very clean, after we booked we read some other reviews regarding unpleasant smells in the hotel, we did NOT experience this at all, in fact the lobby and hotel room both smelled clean, the furniture is a bit dated but again clean, we had no issues would stay there again
