Refinery is first of all a good location. It ’s convenient to go to Broadway to watch a show or to go to midtown. The nearby Bryant Park has my favorite breakfast shop. West 40th Street has good Spanish food. Michelin ’s chef ’s table is the highest in the world at West 39. Street ... you can understand so much. In fact, the room facilities are just like that. In contrast, I prefer their hotel public facilities and bathrooms. Their rooftop is a relatively popular restaurant with nice night views.

The Langham is a lovely hotel in a convenient midtown location. Almost 5 stars, but room service and breakfast at restaurant fall very short so taking off 1 star. Pros: - very large rooms and huge closets for NYC - impeccably clean room and outstanding housekeeping - service in Langham Club exceptional - friendly and helpful doormen - good value Negatives: - check in “upgraded” our room through Amex FHR; however neglected to tell us that our “upgraded” room (though larger) was now on a low floor without a view, and it was extremely noisy (even for NYC)- when earplugs are provided on the nightstands you know it’s a problem. Need better sound proofing on windows. Also our “upgraded” room did not have a bathroom door! This is a very poor design flaw and was a real negative to our stay. - room service was very poor. Our order was missing a breakfast entree after waiting 50 minutes and a replacement was not brought before we had to leave. Coffee was cold and tasted as if it had been made hours before. Canned whip cream was brought and offered to be sprayed on our waffles- just no. - breakfast at Ai Fiore was a disaster. Extremely rude and dismissive service. Slow. Very limited selection and poor food quality. Don’t eat there.

Lovely hotel, great location, great rooms and nice staff. Our two rooms were really lovely. Great air conditioning. Quiet for New York. Location amazing, walk across the road to Times Square. Subway station close by. Door men were really helpful. Big thank you to Jimmy who was really helpful. Concierge was really helpful getting us great tickets to shows. Breakfast was ok. Charlie Parker Steak across the road had excellent steak.

Amazing hotel in the best area , close to everything . Hotel itself clean , cute cozy. Room is very decent, we see the Empire State from our room , breakfast has hot and cold stuff and to go food if you want for a snack , I loved their coffee. People from reception, breakfast team, housekeeping are decent , helpful and working hard. They hv a cozy cute table downstairs for a drink or the 26th floor which is the top notch to see NY and direct to the Empire State. My only recommendation pls do a deep clean for the carpet in z rooms as we noted stains . I def recommended and will go there again and again

Rooms are small, but clean and very comfortable. (We were impressed by how much storage space was available in the room.) Amenities are not fancy (small restaurant with limited options, small gym), but it's an excellent starting point for exploring the city. There was some noise bleed from neighboring rooms, but none from outside.

Also on our last night helped us tremendously as far as transportation to the airport since there were road closures due to a parade We were able to get a car right at our door and not have to use a taxi nor other! ”Hip” and ”boutique” has become a metaphor for dirty and unclean. The ”hotel room” was bare bones, dirty, with previous guests used personal toys left behind end tables. The small kitchen was barely usable - no under cabinet lighting, no dishwasher, small fridge, coffee maker dirty and unclean, same for the broken toaster, no dishwashing soap for even the small amount of utensils and glassware. No effort was made to clean underneath the bed; the bed itself sagged. The room view is into tenement like housing (if I wanted a West Side Story experience, I would go to the theater rather than pay for this cheap ...calling it a hotel is a stretch). The balcony is a joke (at worse a hazard (make sure the balcony door is locked.) The corner space between the top mattress and boxspring was dirty, crumbs, dust, etc - clearly had not been vacuumed or cleaned since the Roosevelt administration. Wi-Fi is subpar. Another effort by a non-corporate hospitality company (or whoever owns this dump) to milk tourists who come to New York by renovating whatever this building used to be into a sub standard ”hotel” rooms and skating by on ”location.”

Great location. But the service standards absolutely disappointed. In room telephone was not working and despite repeated complaints it was not repaired through my stay of 4 nights. So basically we had to go down all the way to reception every time we wanted something at the room. From toiletries to food to water. Even the front desk as well as the duty manager simply expressed inability to do anything about it Initially even some of the lights in the room were not working. Must talk about it. Hotel location, service and hygiene, not to mention, anyway, generally pass. The breakfast was really good, things were basically the same every day, and I was tired for six days. By the way, breakfast is free to eat, no matter your room rate includes breakfast, just go down to the first floor to eat, no one cares, no breakfast coupons. What I want to say this time is that the hotel's checkout will not be refunded if you charge more! It was a very irresponsible and unreasonable hotel. Later, under the coordination of Ctrip, a part was returned, and Ctrip helped me to pay the rest. Thanks for Ctrip's support! The hotel received $ 162.76, but in the end it charged me $ 413.41, more than $ 250! The pre-authorization at check-in was only $ 187.76, and the front desk had no objection to the pre-authorization account at check-out. The remaining part was charged without my knowledge after leaving. What is the difference between stealing and stealing? And they are all received by mistake, and some fees are repeatedly collected. Later, with the help and coordination of Ctrip, the hotel promised to refund some of the fees that were repeatedly charged, and the overcharge of the front desk staff caused by their own mistakes was 125 dollars, and it was not refundable! Totally rogue behavior! In the end, Ctrip advanced the 125 US dollars equivalent to RMB and returned it to me. Thanks again for Ctrip's support! Once again, please pay attention to the hotel bill when you check out, including after leaving. Here's the thing. The face value looked warm and inviting - The Foyer very dark and gloomy as are the concierge at front desk. The room small and very dark with no view other than another tower block. Although the room was clean and tidy - No refills of toiletries and the refrigerator / bar no drinks or fresh water. The roof top bar is rented out and is way over priced 1 x glass of wine & 1 x glass of Jack Daniels and cola $50 total rip off! The downstairs bar reasonably priced but no service had to wait 40 minutes and repeatedly ask for our drinks, the outside sitting area part of the hotel has no security or anything to stop wandering homeless people asking for $$$ Concierge on leaving young pregnant woman extremely rude, unhelpful and miserable Brian on the other hand couldn’t do enough for you my advise to him go and work for a different hotel to be appreciated The Bar Manager a camp chap stood in front of us asking if we were dissatisfied with the service as we hadn’t tipped between 17-20% It’s our prerogative if we choose to tip! Due to his arrogance and rudeness I’ve down graded the review if he was an employee of my company I’d fire him on the spot! Hotels are a cut throat business and it’s within the staff to create a welcoming environment and ambiance for customers to spend money at the hotel and for repeat business, clearly this dirty unshaven crumpled shirt and suit bar manager is certainly not the face of Hotel Hendricks. The Photos on there website are professionally done creating a lot of light they are far from the truth, our door number was partly exposed as part of it was missing! It’s a pity as this hotel with some improvements and change in staff and management could do very well. On return we won’t choose to stay I’ll pick a much larger chain or a boutique hotel with excellent reviews

I'd like to call out Terquone, the front desk associate who made my stay particularly pleasant. He always had a smile, a warm good morning/good evening, and was helpful with suggestions on where to dine in the area. I stayed here on business and it makes all the difference when you have someone like Terquone to greet you when you walk in. I will stay here again on my next visit to NYC. Hotel is clean and cozy.

This was such a pleasant stay for my business trip to NYC. My office is in the Empire State Building so it’s a very close 10 minute walk. My boyfriend and I also stayed through the weekend and it was a great Midtown location right in the center of things. The front desk was very accommodating and was consistently there to help at all hours. I would specifically like to call out the bellhop Jonathan who went above and beyond to make sure we caught our flight on time. We had checked out and left our bags at the front desk on our last day. Instead of just taking our bags, he made sure to ask when our flight was, told us about the parade in town so we knew there was going to be extra traffic, and he also set us up with a cab that was much cheaper than an Uber/Lyft. Truly felt taken care of! Thank you Jonathan and the Archer team!

We stayed here recently to watch the Padres play the Yankees. To the Grayson Hotel management - Jasmine is the Aaron Judge of customer service, so you should do everything you can to make sure she stays on your team for the foreseeable future. She was friendly, hospitable, accommodating, and took care of all our needs to make sure we had the ideal experience. And she was able to do all of this during Memorial Day weekend while the staff was extremely busy. A big thanks to Jasmine and the rest of the staff for going above and beyond! The rooms are on the small side, but still practical, and provide really all you need when your time should be spent out and about in the city. The AC worked well and the AC fan when turned on high provided helpful white noise. The room was surprisingly quiet given the location - we heard very little outside noise from cars, sirens or other. There was also very little noise from the hallway or other rooms, and we had a connecting room (we were told non-connecting rooms are unavailable for doubles). The beds are still fairly new and supportive, and a nice variety of pillows were provided. Shower pressure and temperature was good. We had dinner in the restaurant and the wild mushroom risotto was a very nice surprise - it was as good as the pasta I've had in some of the nicer Italian restaurants in NYC. I would stay here again, but if I intended to work in the room, would make sure to get a room with a desk.

The location of the hotel is very good and very convenient. Although small, it is enough to use and the hygiene is clean. The front desk service was very good. It should have been checked out at 11:00. The result was delayed due to personal reasons, and the front desk was also very good. There are no city service taxes and resort taxes for this hotel ordered on Ctrip. Simple check-out, no other fees. Insufficient: A hot water bottle is recommended for guests to drink hot water.
