Pros: The hotel is in a good location it is right next to SoHo. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are huge compared to most in the city. Cons: I had to switch rooms - in the first room the deadbolt lock didn’t work as it was misaligned. I will admit the switching of rooms was very easy after maintenance said it couldn’t be fixed. It was just a little bit annoying since it was late. The second room had stains on the floor - not a huge deal, but it would have been nice if the carpet was deep cleaned. My main con at this hotel was the elevators. One of the elevators was sat at the lobby floor with the doors open so I went to walk. When walking in it the doors shut on me. They hit off my shoulders and hit my hand hurting me. I was initially in shock and felt like I was going to cry. Then I realized my thumb was in a lot of pain. Surely, no elevator should do this? Especially not a guest elevator! I took advil for the pain and went down to the reception and asked for ice. They were initially more interested in logging it for their record than getting me ice. No one asked if I was okay. At check out the lady just printed my invoice off she didn’t ask if I’d had a nice stay or mention the incident either. My thumb still has a lump on it that hurts if touched/ knocked and I now hate going in elevators!! I would maybe stay here in the future. However, I felt the situation wasn’t handled amazingly.

Must talk about it. Hotel location, service and hygiene, not to mention, anyway, generally pass. The breakfast was really good, things were basically the same every day, and I was tired for six days. By the way, breakfast is free to eat, no matter your room rate includes breakfast, just go down to the first floor to eat, no one cares, no breakfast coupons. What I want to say this time is that the hotel's checkout will not be refunded if you charge more! It was a very irresponsible and unreasonable hotel. Later, under the coordination of Ctrip, a part was returned, and Ctrip helped me to pay the rest. Thanks for Ctrip's support! The hotel received $ 162.76, but in the end it charged me $ 413.41, more than $ 250! The pre-authorization at check-in was only $ 187.76, and the front desk had no objection to the pre-authorization account at check-out. The remaining part was charged without my knowledge after leaving. What is the difference between stealing and stealing? And they are all received by mistake, and some fees are repeatedly collected. Later, with the help and coordination of Ctrip, the hotel promised to refund some of the fees that were repeatedly charged, and the overcharge of the front desk staff caused by their own mistakes was 125 dollars, and it was not refundable! Totally rogue behavior! In the end, Ctrip advanced the 125 US dollars equivalent to RMB and returned it to me. Thanks again for Ctrip's support! Once again, please pay attention to the hotel bill when you check out, including after leaving. Here's the thing. Very good hotel, with a sense of history, the style of decoration is very American style, the surrounding environment is convenient to travel, there are many food shops on the 8th Avenue of Fifth Avenue, which is amazing. The only shortcoming is that the room is too small, the suitcase can't be spread. Open, feels smaller than the Japanese hotel room

Seth went above and beyond to help us get to the airport. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and you can even watch live art in the elevator. Chelsea market is within walking distance. They make everything so easy including room service. It’s a luxurious experience that I haven’t experienced at any other hotel.

I’ve stayed at the Jane several times over the years since I’ve moved out of the West Village and it is consistently well priced, well situated, clean, and the staff is lovely. This particular stay was a bit tricky at check in as they had no record of a reservation for me. Apparently I had mistakenly booked for the week before. Lucky for me they had a room that evening but I had been charged for the previous week as a “no show”. I asked if there was a way to be reimbursed for my error not fully expecting the hotel to grant my request but do you know what? They did and said that “it happens”. In a not quite post Covid world of strict cancellation policies and additional fees for flexible cancellation, I was pleasantly surprised and pleased and will continue to make the Jane my home away from home when in NY.

Great value for money considering the excellent location of the hotel. I was surprised at how easy it was to get around, a pharmacy with an ATM just on the corner and several restaurant options at good prices. The cleanliness, comfort and service were satisfactory, I have nothing to complain about. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi wasn't working well. But I need to highlight that the staff was very attentive and kind to us. The benefits of this accommodation far outweighed its negative points.

The hotel is close to the park (with the famous arch, statues & fountain) but the crowd there in the evenings can be crazy. It is also within walking distance of Greenwich Village so we took a walking tour over there. The subway is 3 long blocks and I would step quickly in one section away from pan handlers. So the locations has both advantages & disadvantages. We did not travel with a car so I don't know about parking. Our room was facing the front street and it was quiet and comfortable. I like the decor. We pre-purchased a weekend breakfast in the adjoining restaurant and that was pleasant. As early risers, there were no problems getting a table. The front desk was polite, we did not use the gym. Overall, the hotel was good but I was a bit uncertain about the neighborhood.
